Welcome to Ghosts of the Past's 2nd flatsale - A complete surprise honoring my Irish heritage. There will only be 2 wands available through this flatsale and both have to do with Ireland (GASP! Big surprise there, right?)

Coupling this flatsale is the Auction (Which ends TOMORROW and is a Custom auction ^_~)

First of all, what is Ghosts of the Past? Ghosts of the Past is a new breedable/changing "pet" shop. Even if they aren't pets. They're highly Role played magical children that go through 11 stages of life.

And yes, I have a payment plan XD

But what ARE Ghosts of the Past? Ghosts of the past are people, normally of magical quality, who have died a horrible, painful, or wrongful death. Because of this, and the spell Matilda had cast so long ago, their soul was trapped in a wand, which related to them and their powers. As a result, they were trapped halfway between life and halfway between death until their wand was unearthed and brought to life.

They can be of almost any species, though they will appear human-like in quality. For the most part. They will have powers and they will appear with traits of their former selves, but if they were a unicorn, they will NEVER fully be a unicorn. They may be able to SHAPE SHIFT into one...but they will never -be- a unicorn.

Who's The Artist Doing The Stages?

I'm doing the Wand, Wisp and Baby Ghost Stages.

VechnayaNicolai is doing all other stages for both wands.

How Much Do They Cost?

Flatsale babies will cost 30k each. Why? Because each of them are pretty much completely custom drawn for the character. Each of them are a lot of work as well. If someone has to shell out 30k for it, you can be damn sure they're going to take care of it best they can.

HOWEVER - IF You're a dedicated lurker/friend or someone I believe I can trust - There WILL be a payment plan available. You must, however, have at least 15k by the 19th to pay for the first half.

Writing Rules
Keep in character and please try not to change tenses...it gets annoying
Your response must be written in a story format.
You MUST write your own entry. Having someone proofread and point out mistakes is fine, but DO NOT have someone else writing for you. IF you do, you will be blacklisted.
Please include ALL required information.

If you do not follow these rules, you will be disqualified from the contest.

Kyrianna's Writing Tips:

I won't critique your contest entry to let you know what it needs and what I want from it, but I -can- give you hints on what I'm looking for.

Do not change tenses in your writing. Going from Present to Past and visa versa just annoys me.
Go into as much detail as you feel you need to. Don't let the minimum requirements bog you down. Just don't write a novel on it, please?
Try to be as true to Ianna's character description as possible, if you do in fact, use her in your prompt.
Make your wand's character concept UNIQUE.

Who Is Ianna

Ianna is the one who found Matilda's wand and brought her back into this world. Even though Matilda is older than her, Ianna seems to baby her and act like a mother would. Mostly because...well she was her mother. For all of a month or two. She's slightly frazzled though, because of the fact Matilda uses her to retrieve wands that she's felt 'awaken'. Sometimes these trips take her to strange places. Like...Well, take moon for example. She had to travel to the Moon using a spell to unearth her. Needless to say, Ianna's rather grouchy and stressed most of the time and has a odd sense of humor. Often seen talking to herself, or what seems to be herself, Ianna is really speaking to Matilda. Unfortunately, she's the only one who can hear the little voice, so it makes her look even more a nutcase.

The Wands Available Are:

Leprechaun

Male

The name leprechaun may have derived from the Irish leath bhrogan (shoemaker), although its origins may lie in luacharma'n (Irish for pygmy). These apparently aged, diminutive men are frequently to be found in an intoxicated state, caused by home-brew poteen. However they never become so drunk that the hand which holds the hammer becomes unsteady and their shoemaker's work affected.

Leprechauns have also become self-appointed guardians of ancient treasure (left by the Danes when they marauded through Ireland), burying it in crocks or pots. This may be one reason why leprechauns tend to avoid contact with humans whom they regard as foolish, flighty (and greedy?) creatures. If caught by a mortal, he will promise great wealth if allowed to go free. He carries two leather pouches. In one there is a silver shilling, a magical coin that returns to the purse each time it is paid out. In the other he carries a gold coin which he uses to try and bribe his way out of difficult situations. This coin usually turns to leaves or ashes once the leprechaun has parted with it.However, you must never take your eye off him, for he can vanish in an instant.

The leprechaun 'family' appears split into two distinct groups - leprechaun and cluricaun. Cluricauns may steal or borrow almost anything, creating mayhem in houses during the hours of darkness, raiding wine cellars and larders. They will also harness sheep, goats, dogs and even domestic fowl and ride them throughout the country at night. Shoe Repairs Although the leprechaun has been described as Ireland's national fairy, this name was originally only used in the north Leinster area. Variants include lurachmain, lurican, lurgadhan.

Lesidhe

Female

Element: Air

Appearance and Temperament: The Lesidhe (Lay-shee) is a guardian of the forests who is always disguised as foliage. They appear to be adrogynous and, even though they are usually found in groups, they seem to have little to do with one another. Therefore they can be classified as solitaries rather than trooping faeries. Unless one gets up and walks about it is hard to distinguish them from the green plants and trees they hide among.

Time Most Active: Spring and summer, especially at dawn and dusk. They are active day and night, but seem to prefer being nocturnal.

Lore: Lesidhes like to mimic mockingbirds to confuse hikers and travelers, and over time they have learned to make even more confusing human sounds. It is believed that they have come to dislike humans for their callous treatment of the environment. The recoreded reports of contact with them have all been unfavorable. Though no Lesidhe has ever actually harmed anyone, their pranks are nasty, usually involving trying to lose people in deep woods.

Where to Find Them: Caution is advised when attempting to approach a Lesidhe, for little is known about how they will interact with humans. In the physical or in the astral go to a wild wood and wait until you sense their movements in the trees. If you look and seem to see foliage itself moving in an anthropomorphic way, you're probably seeing a Lesidhe.

How to Contact: While in the protection of a circle call to them and explain what you would have them do, then wait and see what sort of response you get. However, contacting them is not a wise practice. Extreme caution is advised.

Magickal and Ritual Help: They might possibly be persuaded to aid in magick and ritual to aid the planet and the environment.

To be eligible for winning, you need to do two things: Fill out a concept form and respond to one of three prompts.

The Prompts

There will be three prompts to choose from. You must respond to the prompt using the wand you are trying out for.

The prompts are written to fit the guardian's point of view. However, if you wish to write from the child's point of view. In fact, I would love to see them written from BOTH point of views!

Leprechaun Only:

Your child is inappropriately attracted to shiny things and objects of value. Their school calls and claims your son has been stealing things from the classroom - from a silver pencil all the way to a classmates 500k watch! What do you do in a situation like this?

Toddler/Child Stage:

Your child is beginning to grow older, and unfortunately, their powers is also growing. It's growing to the point where they can't control it at all. One day while playing with the other children, his/her powers go off and hurt a child. The other children freak out and run away, leaving the child horribly guilt-ridden and sobbing. He/she wants to know why they're different, and why they can't control what they are

Lesidhe Only:

Your child *GASP* Has learned to immitate voices of both animals and people. Of course - this CAN'T be a good thing (I mean, come on, a child that can immitate any voice they've heard only once?). How do they find out about it? What do they do with this ability? What do YOU do about this ability?
