I've thought a lot about this idea, I think it'd be cool if we could have our avatars ride horseback, or of course, walk beside them (as a second pose)
You see...where I got my inspiration for the petition, is that I wanted to enter my avatar into the arena as one of the "4 Horsemen" from the bible...but I realized...we don't have horses....so I couldn't, and the more I thought about it, the better the idea of having horses on Gaia seemed!
I was thinking that for the poses, there'd be an option of having your avatar ride "normally" or side-saddle, maybe even have a "bareback" version of the horse available. and of course, have a "walk beside" pose as well. And maybe even have an option to make it a unicorn, or pegasus! I think that this idea could work, because it would be useful to anyone who wants to design their avatar to be a horseback samurai, or knight, or even a cowboy, or just looking for a little accent to a fantasy based avatar. After all, who doesn't love horses, right?
I don't think there'd have to be TOO much work involved with "editing" anything on gaia, you'd just have your avatar a little more elevated, with a hoarse between your legs (and it's head probably down so you can still see your avatar just fine...or maybe just standing at enough of an angle that it doesn't block the view). And the pre-existing poses already seem to support the idea of a horse

I don't have the resourcefulness to make any visual aids of the horse itself here, but if someone else here can, I welcome you to do so...
(please try not to pm me on this, I get enough pms everyday as it is, I kindly accept any feedback, but please, keep it in this thread, I accept any suggestions that someone thinks may help...so don't be afraid to express your opinion on here...but if it's negative, then at least try to be courteous about it..)
UPDATE:
I actually like this guy's idea here, Ever since the Scion thing opened up, I guess that would make it easier to do horse-races, since the only change would be that you'd be riding horseback, but everything else would still be basically the same...and Jousting sounds like A LOT of fun too! probably have the characters run at each other, while you have to do some mini-game, and whoever does better, wins the joust, while the loser gets knocked off his horse...
UPDATE: Ok, well, now we have the "Wild Things" out, which is primarily, what I was going for. So NOW, it shouldn't be hard AT ALL! The developers could make it the same way they made the wild-things, except, instead of a wolf, chocobo, or tiger, it'd be a horse. PLUS, we're now up to 300 SIGNATURES!
