Hello and Welcome to the Aesthetic Artists Association!

Established on July 8th, we are currently the oldest R&C multi-artist minishop on Gaia after the retiring of the Starving Artists. (This is the second edition of our old thread because of the page eating/archiving glitch.) We are comprised of artists you've know and loved for a while. I wish I had the talent. XD Im honored to manage them. We plan to stay around for a good while.

We have a nice variety of artists and styles to choose from, so take time when choosing which to commission.

All of the artists put a lot of time and dedication into every single work. Please be courteous and remember to read the rules before posting a request.

1. Make sure the waiting list of the person youre ordering from has an OPEN slot.

2. Make sure you post which artist, what kind of portrait, and any other info that we should know.

3. If you pm ANY of the artists, they will tell me, and you will regret it.

4. If for some reason I dont confirm your order, pm me, but dont harass.

5. IMing artists is a no-no.

6. Talking and bumping is nice, just dont spam. ^^;;

7. After your portrait is completed, I will pm you. When you are aware of this, send the trade to the artist and s/he will send you your portrait.

8. Above all, please be courteous.

RISKY LISTS!

Risky lists are to be credited to the Starving Artists.

You may have noticed that some of the artists have a "Risky List" slot. This slot is a BID ONLY slot. It's purpose is like a "waiting for the next slot wait slot" This means that when a slot in the particular artist's waitlist opens, the person with the highest bid on that artist's risky list will be the next person on the actual waitlist. If you want to bid for a risky list slot, please title your post "RISKY LIST BID for ______" and your bid. Please read back a couple of pages to see if someone has bid before you post your bid to ensure your bid goes through right.

How to Pay!

After you've requested a commission, I will put your name on the waitlist of the artist you chose. You must then send the trade to the artist with the title "Im on your waitlist" . S/he will not confirm the trade until the artwork is finished. After they confirm, you must complete the trade. The artist will then pm you the work. ^^ It's art theft-proof XD

03.01.04-Totorochic has left the AAA due to real life issues. But she'll still be hanging around on Gaia.

11.17.04- Send Yuzi stoof! See address in post 1 to send me things! The AAA is under renovation today. Im trying to clear up a lot of confusing and make it a lot more appealing and easy to order!

11.05.04- Hm, well Ive decided to implement an "AAA Artist of the Month" thing. See post 7 for regulations. I guess you could say its my reward to those artists in the AAA who show great dedication. heart

11.02.04- Say hello to our 6 new artists: LeLe, LenoreB.Valentine, Eccoxile, Sunihiroku, Crucix, and Dya. heart Their lists should be up shortly (as soon as I get their samples and banners). Keep checking back and congratulate them if you see them!

11.01.04- Yuzi is in the process of selecting artists now. Thanks to all those who have expressed an interest in joining. Yuzi will probably send out a PM to those she selects.
10.01.04- Due to the busy schedule of some artists of the AAA and the inactivity of a couple, they have left us. This means that we will be hiring again! Please look for the hiring thread somewhere near you soon!
10.14.04- I don't know why, but I may reconsider leaving Gaia. Im kinda on the fence on whether to or not. If anyone has a reason why I should stay, let me know. I find myself being caught upin helping people around here lately. It's keeping me busy ^^ I will still be holding my gigantic art contest as soon as Gaia gives me back my items.
10.01.04- I can't take a break right. XD I'm here as you all can see, just not on enough. I'll still need Toto to help me out a bit. Thanks so much for your help toto.
09.27.04- Nyu... Kasey has left AAA so that she can concentrate on her academics. We all wish her well
09.10.04- I (Yuzi) will be taking a 1 month break from the Gaia starting on the 13th. We will still be taking orders, Toto will be the one updating everything though. ^^ Ill lurk to check up on things maybe sometime the week after.
Here's the memo:
Yeah, most of you have noticed that I havent been too active with Gaia as of late. I just wanted to let you know that while Im not leaving, Im going to be taking a 1 month break from the site. I'll post this in a few other places, too, so nobody worries about me while Im gone. I just feel that Gaia has been a little boring and well, bleh, and hopefully, by the time I get back, there will be new features to play with and Ill have some of my inventory back. :/
If she agrees to it, Totorochic will be running the AAA in my place 'till i return because she's the only one that can edit my posts without having to get into my account. (Yay for mod friends ) I'll lurk on here in about a week to see if they fixed the inventory problem so that you can get your halo back toto. Dont want you to lose it in the inventory problems now.
My decision is also has something to do with the fact that I need to concentrate on my studies in a few classes. (I just started college, for those of you that dont know.) When I return, Ill be a much happier/active person again.
My break will start Monday the 13th. If you have any comments and such, just pm me ^^ Love you all
09.08.04- Welcome M o o to the artist family!
09.01.04- I started college about 2 weeks ago so things have been a little slow. ^^;; Kitchell's prices have raised due to her start of college real soon also. We have risky bid slots! Make sure to read the crediting and the rules for that below in red. Gotta go to class! ^____^
08.10.04- Totorochic is a mod!
08.08.04- Had a run-in with an art thief. now un-named...reported him to Relikk.
He posted a pic that was obviously not his and not anything like what I asked for into my contest.
Relikk deleted the picture and is dealing with it now.
7.31.04- Starving Artists last day is today. Please stop by there to say farewell and wish them luck!
7.27.04- New thread...please update your links. ^^
7.26.04- I decided to re-open the hiring thread soon after Shayan left us. Unfortunatelty, I hired all girls again. XD Let's welcome the new artists- Kalixte, Moppy Starlight, totorochic, e m m i, and Sakura_X. I hope they'll be with us for a long time.
7.17.04- Shayan1122 is leaving Gaia due to personal reasons. All those that commissioned him will get a pm informing them and their trades canceled. We're sorry to see you go Shayan. It's just us girls now. Or is it? Hmm..
7.10.04- The grand opening was a success! Soon enough we'll have the other lists open and be more busy than we already are!

Oh well. Try posting some more, answering polls, or clicking sponsor links to get some more gold. The artists can't afford to give discounts unless otherwise stated. ^^

Sure, all you have to do is ask and we'll see what we can work out. XD

4. Will the artists do art trades?

That is up to the artists. Post the offer in the thread. If they accept, fine. If not, oh well.

You may be elected more than once, but never in consecutive terms. All judgements are based on cumulative actions. That is, if you are elected based on the actions above, you cannot be selected the next month. BUT if you slack off the month you are not allowed to be elected in, you are hurting your chances of being elected the month after that!
