The Legend
The World of Filgaia is now only a shell of what existed long before. Ages ago, under the protection of the Gaurdians, the world of Filgaia was a prosperous land filled with ancient and magical beings. It was a rich, green, and fertile realm. All Was well with the inhabitants of Filgaia... until a suprise invasion by a race of Metal Demons with bodies of steel robbed them of peace.

In order to survive, the three races of this world banded together. The Gaurdians and humans fought together with the Elws, a clever race that used technology laced with magic, to rid their planet of the alien demons. Working together, they forced the Metal Demons to the arctic edge of Filgaia where they have not been seen since. Having helped win the war to save Filgaia, the elw became disenchanted by the greed and ruthlessness of the human race. They became alienated and abandoned Filgaia after seeing the rapid decline of the planet.

Even though the war to save Filgaia was won, the planet suffered terribly during the battle. Shortly after the war, plants began to dissapear one by one until most of the grasslands were nothing more than desert wastelands.

As for the Gaurdians, the battle to save Filgaia drained them of their power, and they were lost to the myths of time. Although some still hold faith in the Gaurdians, they are now considered by most to be just one of the many legends that surround the old world.

Now, 1000 years later, the war is but a memory, and slowly a new civilization is rising from the ashes. But once again an ominous cloud hangs over the horizon. The Metal Demons, who witnessed the collapse of their own planet, Hiades, are preparing for the moment when they can once again descend upon Filgaia and claim it as their new home.

Three brave warriors will hear the call of the mythic Gaurdians. As they ready themselves to embark upon a journey to save their world, each is as unaware of the others' existence as they are of their own fates. In a World brought to ruin under the merciless attack of an alien race, the wheels of fortune are about to turn.

Sheyenne Rainstorm was a famous gunslinger, because of his rare ability to use the famous ARMS weapons, and a mysterious birthmark that matches both the symbol on ARMS weapons and the symbol of the ancient Evil Race.

After an ambush, Sheyenne is shot, and then wakes up several years later, in the body of a 10-year-old boy, with no memories of how he got there. With the help of tall scientist Kiel Aronnax and the Popepi Pipepo Issac, he searches for clues about his past.

Sheyenne and Kiel meet up with Roletta, a card sorceress, Mirabelle, a Noble Red (a vampire-like race), and Jerusha, Issac's Popepi Pipepo ex-wife. These three thieves search for treasure, and while searching accidentally run into Sheyenne nearly every episode.

I've only played part of the first one. I found that the battles in 3D were kind of cheesy. But other than that, good game so far.
I played all three.. All of them are good games.. It's hard to find an RPG that has decent characters with personilties and decent music and story lines.
Well it was a very early RPG in the PS1 life. Anything it lacked in battle (not much), it made up with story and character development.

And that's what matters. A good story.

I know they are.

I perfer Wild ARMs over Final Fantasy.
I'm anxious to play the remake.

Note to all who haven't played 1, now is your chance. Febuary, you'll be able to play a better version of 1. So no excuses
I've played and beat the first two Wild Arms games. Still working on the third.

BTW Wild Arms Alter Code F (The remake of the First Wild Arms game.) Is due out this month. Just in case anyone didn't know. There are also three new PC (playable characters) in it as well. Well they are new characters but they were just NPCs in the first version. The graphics look so much better this time around. I know I'm getting it. ^_^

I loved the first one the best out of all the Wild Arms games.
Gamespot got Alter code pegged for a feb release. You sure it's this month?

I hate to break it to you.. ALter Code F has been pushed back to next year.
I haven't played the second or third games yet. I can get a copy of 3 easily, but 2 is rather hard. But I will play them eventually. I will though, be getting Alter Code F and the 4th one.
Actually so far none of the sites or magizines that I get my info from have said anything about a delay... From what I know it was supposed to be out shortly after my birthday. That was the only way I kept track. lol. Where exactly did you hear this from about the delay anyways??
