Read the rules? Good! Now we can get onto the other information. You will be responding to a writing-prompt, so please pay close attention. Judging will be based on a variety of things; I really like creativity and things that are well-thought out. I won't nitpick your spelling, BUT if I have trouble reading your entry... that isn't a good thing. Don't be lazy, you can go back and edit spelling errors, don't make me guess what you mean. xd
This is a two-part prompt. You must complete both of them for your entry to qualify. heart
Please include which Layhr you are trying for in your reponse. Entries will be divided into groups based on that. 3nodding You are writing from a Layhr's point of view, though it doesn't have to be one of the ones in the flatsale.

Flatsale Rules
Flatsale Layhr cost 5k. Please do not enter if you cannot pay me when the contest ends.
If you aren't familiar with my shop, familiarize yourself. The banner links to the shop, you ARE responsible for knowing the rules there, too. wink
Layhr are not RP-required, but they ARE RP-encouraged. You HAVE to stop in the shop from time to time and let me know you exist; I will not allow these guys to rot in people's signatures. If you dissapear on me without good reason, I can and will revoke your right as a handler. [I'm an understanding person, if you can't be around, just let me know! But please, don't just dissapear.]
People who already own Layhr MAY participate in this event, as long as they don't already have the limit. X3
If you don't win, don't whine. I hate whiny people. I also hate chatspeak, idiocy, and jerks. Don't give me reason to greylist you; be civil and don't discourage anyone else in this thread.

Prompt Part One
Another day in the labs, just like any other. Not the best life to be leading, but hey, what else is there? You lay in your kennel, half-listening to the events around you. A shadow moves to block the light in front of your cage, another one of the scientists or technicians come to poke at you. Joy. There's a soft "click" as they unlock the door.
Suddenly, you hear an angry snarl and a cry of surprise; it seems the Layhr in the next kennel over caught his scientist off-guard and attacked. The one in front of you runs to help the man, letting the door swing open in his haste. A chance... to escape? You step out gingerly, wondering if this opportunity is too good to be true.
To your left are the two men, struggling to avoid injury from the furious Layhr. Behind them lies the open door. Do you aid your fellow Layhr, attacking those scientists, taking the chance to get revenge for all the things they've put you through? Or do you run past, into the maze-like halls of the labs, hoping to find an exit?
