i n t r o d u c t i o n</center>
In the present day hustle and bustle of the Greater Barton area, not very many care about legends of a Tower or why it existed. Durem, Barton Town, Isle de Gambino and Aekea have modernized and are more focused on Gold profit then supernatural events.
But recently, Durem Water Reclaimation Facility workers discovered a unique stone jutting out of the ground in the small grove between the Facility grounds and West Barton field. Shining with a myriad of colors and unbreakable, the stone shard is unlike any other found on the mainland.
Each city sent their best archaeologists to investigate the find and they have uncovered an entrance to the Temple of lore. Eager to reap the riches of the age old temple, the dig sponsors encouraged several expeditions inside the temple to discover what priceless artifacts lay within.
Forced to listen to those with the purse strings, several men went inside. But upon entering, the team never returned.
Fanatics of the Tower Legend have been spreading their theories throughout the Greater Barton Area, and Barton Town and Durem have joined forces in collecting a group of Gaians brave enough to unravel the secrets of the Tower - and to come back alive.
The reward would be hefty - 2 million gold pieces to the person who discovered the secret of the Tower and brought back their knowlege to the Mayors of both cities, and claim on any treasure of the Tower you bring out.

The Price of Wisdom (PoW) will most likely be played out in a single day (or over the course of two days if we must) with pseudo 'rounds' for the teams to go through. Input on the day(s) is needed to work out what is best for the majority of players participating.

PoW is an event that follows the beliefs of the Anti-Munch Project. Munching will not be tolerated in PoW and participants who have been found guilty of said munching will be disqualified.
There will be judges assigned to each thread that will be there to solve any OOC conflicts that arise in the fighting. Judges will be paid; please look for the application specifications in the STAFF section.

PoW is (hopefully) going to be a massive event that CANNOT be run by only one person. I am in need of a knowledgeable staff in order to make this event as enjoyable as possible!

PoW is a team based battle with several 'rounds'within a certain amount of time and a Judgement System to decide which teams proceed to the next round.
You need a team to enter this event. The Minimum and Maximum requirements for a team are as follows:

In PoW, rules are rules. There are no exceptions to the team rule. It's either 3 people minimum or nothing sadly. However, there is a "Looking for a Team" section and I will add you there if you want. Just post it in the thread.

As said earlier, you NEED a team to enter PoW. But you don't need to stick with them when you've entered inside the Tower.
The minimum requirements for at team are 3 PCs and NO MORE than 6 per team. Applications for PoW will be sent IN by team by the Team Captain.

The Tower History and Lore...
Long before any of the cities of the Greater Barton Area towered over the plains of Gaia, a single structure scraped the sky and parted the clouds over the lands between Barton and Durem, visible even from the far off Isle de Gambino and the rock quarries of Aekea. The denizens of each city had paid no attention to it - the massive building had been there for as long as they could remember. The people who frequented it kept to themselves.
They had no quarrel with the tower, and those of the tower had no quarrel with them.

Eventually those of the younger generation became curious. Why was it there? Why did no one question it's existance?
Five youths, Two from Barton and Three from Durem, decided to find these answers for themselves. They stole away from their houses one night and entered the tower...
<center>Never to return.</center>
From this point in history onward, there have been no further records of the Tower and it's people. What we know of it's existance and purpose has been handed down from generation to generation.
<center>Some say that the building is in fact a Temple of sorts. But to glorify what God - or Demon... We have no idea.
Some have said that the Tower was a Gateway to hell - a place where his dark servants gathered in hopes of releasing him into this world one day...
Others claim that the Tower is a Becon of Hope - a long lost cathedral, the first of it's kind on the Gaian mainland. A place worthy of pilgrimage for those who believe in the Gods.</center>
Depending upon which you believe the fate of those 5 youths is either heart warming... Or quite tragic.
Either way, those lost souls have not been spotted for over 2 millenia; and neither has the tower. A building wrought of the strongest stone, pulled from the depths of the earth and errected to glorify the might of -whatever entity - vanished from it's place on the plains of Gaia.
