W00t!! Green Day concert tonight! I'm shaking I'm so excited. Sorry, I'm an OLD Green Day fan, I've been listening to them for like 12 years .. more than half my life. ANYWAY! Sorry I've been kind of away lately, I have a big camping trip coming up, so I've been busy getting ready. So, there have been a few growings. Flatsale coming up too.

Shinzui are very mysterious creatures, not much is known about them. Their magical summoning bells are found in the most remote areas of Gaia. How or why they have suddenly turned up on our planet no one knows. But we have discovered that the bells contain amazing power. To the touch they feel very smooth and soft but from my research (well, actually I fell on one once) I've found them to be indestructible. The Shinzui themselves are very peculiar and unique, not one is exactly like the other. Most are friendly and love the companionship of humans, but with every species there are a few bad seeds.

Once a new owner has obtained a set of Shinzui bells, they are to carefully ring them ONLY ONCE. At first it may seem that nothing has happened, but after a few minutes the magic bells will feel different in your hands, a little warmer and a strange magnetic feeling pulses from them. Once activated, the bells summon a Shinzui from a far off land, perhaps somewhere from the cosmos or different dimension, after all my research I'm still not sure. Within a couple days, a unique feline creature will suddenly appear before you, it can be quite startling but do not fear, you are in the presence of your new Shinzui guardian. Yes, guardian. Shinzui are very protective of their owners, it's as if once the owner has activated their set of bells a pact is made between them and their new pet forever. Nothing can come between a Shinzui and its owner, nothing.

Upon arriving, every Shinzui is exhausted and extremely weak. For the first few days owners must take good care of their new baby, they are very vulnerable and fragile. Owners must find a peaceful and safe place where their Shinzui can rest and begin to draw spiritual energy from their surroundings. Without this period of rest and consumption of spiritual energy, the Shinzui's magic abilities will forever weaken and NEVER reach their true potential. The consumption of spiritual energy process is cloaked in mystery and has baffled any and all who have tried to decipher its secrets.

After a few days, new owners will notice a large difference in their Shinzui. Their pet's personality will bloom and they'll become much more active, not to mention grow much bigger in size. They are much stronger as well and no longer vulnerable to the outside world. They will no longer require their owner's protection, rather if need be the owner will benefit from their Shinzui's protection.

From this point on my research grinds to a halt, it is up to the owners to discover their Shinzui's true powers and only then will they truly be able to reap the rewards that having a Shinzui will bring.

OTHER BASIC INFORMATION //

- Shinzui cannot speak to humans, although, they can speak to eachother telepathically or through audible noises.

- It is not yet known how long their life span is, they may even out live their owners. Then perhaps they return to the mysterious place of their origin?

- Shinzui are very intelligent beings, not quite as smart as you or I but perhaps on par with the most intelligent animals on earth other than humans. (ex. dolphin or ape)

- Their diet is very strange compared to ours, they feed mostly on anything sweet. In fact, the sweeter the better. But unlike humans who would gain weight with a diet of all sugar, Shinzui maintain their normal body weight and surprisingly never have any cavities.

- From my research I've also discovered that Shinzui are able to swim underwater indefinitely. However, after many tests I'm still not sure how.

- The average height of an adult male Shinzui is 3'6". Females are always just a smidge smaller than males.

** PLEASE READ THE FAQ BEFORE ASKING A QUESTION IN THE THREAD. THX!

Q: How do I get a Shinzui?
A: There are currently five ways to get a Shinzui: flatsales, auctions, raffles, contests and breedings. Check the FLATSALES, SPECIAL EVENTS, and BREEDING posts for details and availability.

Q: Will you give me a Shinzui for free?
A: No, sorry. However, check to see if there are any contests being held where you can win a Shinzui for free. Raffles are also a good place to aquire a Shinzui for less than the sale price, the tickets are fairly cheap. See the SPECIAL EVENTS post.

Q: Can my friend and I co-own a Shinzui?
A: Yes. Although, if your names are too long I may have to either abbreviate them or use initials on the tag. If that isn't a problem, then sure.

Q: How long does it take for my Shinzui to grow?
A: From what little information I've gathered from the Shinzui species, it takes 2 - 5 days for them to arrive in Gaia, 2 - 5 days to grow from their baby stage to juvenile, and 5 - 10 days to grow into their final adult stage.

Q: Can I somehow alter their growth speed?
A: Yes, you can dramatically enhance or slow down their growth with special fruit for sale in the ITEM SHOP, check there to see if any are available.

Q: When is my Shinzui able to breed?
A: First, your pet and its mate must be in their adult stage of life. Second, there must be breeding spot open. Check the BREEDING post for more details.

Q: Are you hiring?
A: Not at the moment, sorry.

Q: Can I sell my Shinzui for whatever reason?
A: No!

Q: I'm planning on leaving Gaia for good, what should I do with my Shinzui?
A: If you are planning on leaving Gaia, I will happily take your Shinzui until I can find another suitable owner. You may, however, give your Shinzui to a friend (for free) with permission from me. Then I can change the tag to display the new owner's name.

Q: Is there a limit to how many Shinzui I may own?
A: No, you may purchase as many as you like. Although, there is a limit of one per person during flatsales.

Q: Do I have to RP my Shinzui?
A: Nope, it's not manditory but it's encouraged.

Wondering what a flatsale is? A flatsale is basically a sale with a set price (3,ooog) per pet. I personally don't like speed flatsales where people with uber fast computers have unfair advantages over others. Therefore, I'm a firm believer in posting a trivia question or riddle in the thread, then whoever is able to correctly answer first receives their desired pet. Those that follow with the correct answer will receive the pet they want (unless it's already taken) until all are gone.

Basic flatsale rules:

- There is a limit of only one Shinzui per person per flatsale.

- If you buy one for a friend you're not allowed to buy a second for yourself.

- All riddles or trivia questions will have to do with Shinzui, the answers are always found somewhere within the information on this first page.

- You may only answer once. If you're incorrect, sorry, you'll have to try again next time.

- Please indicate in your post which Shinzui you would like to adopt along with your answer.

- If someone answers correctly before you with the same requested pet, sorry, they receive it. That said, NO WHINING if someone beat you to it!

- Absolutely NO editing of posts during a flatsale.

- Remember, the flatsale only starts when I post the question in the thread.

AUCTIONS //
Shinzui auctions have a set starting price of 3,ooog. A regular Shinzui auction lasts around 48 hours (give or take a day), although, auctions for rare Shinzui can last up to 5 days. Because auctions tend to go a little higher I may include an autobuy. Autobuys may be a specific item priced at mid GCG. Auction dates and times will always be posted a few days ahead of time.

Basic auction rules:

- No harrassing other bidders!

- No sniping! You MUST post interest before the last 30 minutes of the auction.

- No editing of posts in the auction thread!

- Donation items or letters may be included in your bid, always valued at mid GCG. Please tally your bids yourself if you include items.

RAFFLES //
From time to time, I may hold a raffle for one or more Shinzui. There will be a certain number of tickets available, each costing 100g with a set limit of a certain amount of tickets per participant. Sorry, you may not choose your ticket numbers. After all tickets have been purchased, randomiser will be used to determine the winner(s).

Free Coupon: This little ticket is by far the most special item in the shop, it's a tricky one to find though. From time to time a free coupon will find itself laying on the floor of the shop all alone, cold, and lonely. The first person to find it and pick it up will indeed receive a set of free Shinzui bells.

(Rules: I will post the above image in the thread on any given day at any given time and the first person to post "OMGWTF FREE" will be given a free set of Shinzui bells. Yes, Shinzui breed. Although, we don't know how. It seems that when 2 Shinzui finally reach their adult stage and wish to breed they seem to .. hmm how should I put it ... take off for a few days. When they return they are usually accompanied by a string of bells. Yes, it's very mysterious and sounds incredibly strange, but these ARE magical creatures after all.

I have not yet been able to scientifically explain the Shinzui breeding process. Perhaps thinking of it in a magical sense is more appropriate. Another strange breeding fact is that 2 males may breed as well as 2 females. It seems that Shinzui don't regard genders as we humans do. Now on to what little information I have gathered ...

Basic Breeding Rules:

- The cost of breeding your Shinzui pair is 6,ooog, 3,ooog from each parent.

- Each pairing has the chance of receiving between 2 - 4 bell sets.

- You may keep the bells for yourself, give them away to friends, or let the shop sell them. If they are sold through the shop, 20% of the proceeds will go back to the shop and 80% will be split between each parent.

- Each parent must have a different owner.

- Each Shinzui may only breed twice in a lifetime and there must be atleast 2 months between breedings.

- No UBER Shinzui behavior (aka. playing God). This means no killing off other Shinzui or having them do something they aren't capable of (ex. flying when they don't have wings, inventing crazy superpowers).

- No controlling someone else's pet without their permission.

- No excluding someone if there are numerous people RPing in the tread at once. Let's incorporate everyone! ^^

- RPing may effect the growth of your Shinzui as well as other things. *wink*

- Keep it PG-13, of course.
