Once long ago gargoyles guarded many important buildings, castles of lords, dukes and even kings. They begged for these stone creatures to come and guard the gates. Though, it was only a truly blessed noble that received a special breed of these gargoyles called Wasserpeier. These were special gargoyles that didn't stick to a building but rather a person. The Wasserpeier were great advisers and were very wise, nobles ruled all the better with Wasserpeier at their side. Best of all, these winged beings were messengers and could survey the land ruled by its bonded guardian.

Then , one day, some prince received bad advice from a Wasserpeier. He grew angry and decided to banish all Wasserpeier from his lands. He was a foolish to believe that they were without fault. The Wasserpeier were proud and refused to stay where they weren't wanted. Insulted and hurt they flew away from all their bonded partners. The elders shook their heads at the prince's foolishness and told stories of the Wasserpeier to children; most of these stories were forgotten in the mists of time.

One story, however, was not forgotten. DarkMikazuki grew up on these stories and always had dreamed about finding the Wasserpeier again. One day The Lost Lenore, ghostneko, Katherine of Dreamland and DarkMikazuki decided to start a quest to find these creatures. Their quest took them all over Gaia as they searched. Finally one dark night they decided to follow one last lead. It brought them to a large Gothic house, designed with the idea of old medieval castles. Towers reached towards the sky as it was guarded by an old wrought-iron gate. The house was a sight to behold. It was rumored that monsters haunted the place. Flying monsters that drove any human away, this description seemed to match that of the Wasserpeier.

The foursome approached the house carefully and entered it even more so. They saw nothing right inside at first so they moved further in. A quick look around then revealed a hallway flanked by four doors, two on ether side. The four friends looked at each other and each walked to a different door. Inside three of the doors eggs were found, they were nearly black and quite cold, as if the mother hadn't been there for a while. The Lost Lenore was the only that didn't find an egg inside her door, but she found something more. A fully grown Wasserpeier, a very old one.

"So the humans have returned", the Wasserpeier, of the species Wyrm, croaked. "We were wondering when it would happen"

Lenore let out a gasp and the others came rushing over. The four stared at what they had been questing for, for so long.

"I see you found the eggs" the Wasserpeier continued. "That is good; though humans have done well without us there to guide them"

"That's not true" Dark called out suddenly, making the Wasserpeier turn its gaze to her. She blushed and ducked her head but all she heard was a dry laugh.

"Perhaps, but we have been dying off. We need humans but of course we cannot return."

"Why not?" Katherine asked, "That prince has been dead for centuries."

"Because, we are things of legends now" the Wasserpeier replied with a sigh. "Humans would run and scream. Not useful in the least"

"We aren't running" ghostneko replied. The Wasserpeier looked over to her with a smile.

"That is why you four are gifted with this charge" he told them, "Behind this house are some woods. In those woods there are five different kinds of Wasserpeier. You must find the eggs of these Wasserpeier and find each egg a human partner. Already you have found three. Now, each Wasserpeier has an alignment with the two base elements, light and dark. Some are neutral though. Their alignments will decide their colors and some of their personality. Please, find good human partners for them. These are not merely pets. Wasserpeier have knowledge that humans have banished from their mind. Do this job well." With that, the Wasserpeier curled up, his eyes closed, and the color drained from his body, until he looked like stone once again. He had died, but now his race could live once more.

8. I am willing to accept most pet trades, but if for some reason I do decline to trade don't take it as an insult, I have enough pets as it is. If the pet you want to trade is on one of the staff members' WANT lists you may request to trade with them.
9. Do not IM me or any of the staff asking about shop related stuff unless we tell you to. Mainly because, If we don't want to be PMed with the same crap, what makes you think we will want to be asked about it on IM.

RP Rules:
1. RP is not mandatory, but it is encouraged.
2. In order to breed you must do some minor RP-ing. (Nothing too elaborate, but enough to know you care.)
3. You may RP in the thread, guild, or RP thread. If you wish to have a journal in the guild for your specific Wasserpeier, just ask.
4. Please try and keep you roleplaying PG-13.
5. Fights between pets or players are alright, as long as both players agree to it, and it isn't too graphic.
6. Try and use decent grammar, I do not appreciate people who speak like this, "cuz 1ts n0t like OMG!!!!!11!11!! i speeks wit sum awsum shexyness!", although..., that type of speech will occasionally be allowed for the purpose of mocking people, etc. Of course, not specific people, cuz th4t wuld jus7 be m33n.
7. I can understand if people occasionally misspell words (by accident) and it's alright, just don't speak like the above examples constantly. (Though I may correct your accidental misspellings whee )
8. NO GODMOD/POWERPLAY.
9. Don't make up powers/abilities/etc. for your Wasserpeier without consulting me first. xd

Flatsale Rules:
Okay....here are the basics, I may have to change some of the rules and stuff later since I haven't completely decided how I'm going to do flatsales.....and some/most flatsales will have their own set of special rules.
1. Be sure to read whatever special rules there are for the flatsale you plan on taking part in.
2. Do not submit you request/order for a flatsale Wasserpeier until I say GO! in big, bold, red letters.
3. Do Not Edit your post (or delete it)! Or you shall be blacklisted! Which means that you will never be allowed to have a Wasserpeier ever, not as a gift from a friend even.
4. No complaining if you fail to aquire a pet.
5. Only one Wasserpeier may be acquired, per customer, per flatsale.
6. The price of a Wasserpeier will vary depending on the type of flatsale. BUT, the price will always be posted in the special rules for that flatsale. So, don't ask me, just read the special rules. If you do ask me, you may run the risk of being greylisted. Other than that the general price of the basic Wasserpeier will be 2k.

Stages:

So far, there are only four known stages of the Wasserpeier.
The alignment of your Wasserpeier determines what sort of colors it will be. (see bottom of post for alignment/color information)
If a Wasserpeier (in a flatsale) has a pattern, it will be noted in the info. on that egg or on its cert.

New Egg Stage:
Though, through our special techniques, you will know the alignment of your Wasserpeier before you receive it.
It will come, into your possession, in its early, colorless, egg stage.
The eggs may look different from the below example, because they will come in different types of stone that will represent the alignment of your Wasserpeier.

Matured Egg Stage:
After 3 days - 1 week (depending on the species) your Wasserpeier egg will mature and show its colors.
This stage shows that your egg is near to hatching.

Newly Hatched/Youth Stage:
Yay! In 1-4 weeks (once again, depending on species) your Wasserpeier will hatch!
They will hatch from their egg into their, colorless, youth stage.
(This stage will also be in different types of stone patterns to denote your Wasserpeier's alignment.)

Adult Stage:
In 5-7 days you Wasserpeier will reach its adult stage.
It will have developed its coloring/pattern by this time.

Wasserpeier Species:

DarkMikazuki

There are currently five species of Wasserpeier that are known to us.
They are the Avian, Rodent, Canine, Feline, and Wyrm.


The Avian:

This is the most common species of Wasserpeier.
It is also the least temperamental species.

Info:
Height: anywhere between 1.5 and 3.5 feet tall.
Weight: surprisingly light.

The smaller Wasserpeier of this species can even occasionally perch on one's shoulder. ( pirate )


The Rodent:

(It is truly a Rodent of Unusual Size.)

The second commonest species of Wasserpeier.
Usually, calm and contemplative, but has a violent side.
Very cuddly and squishy. (like a hamster xd )

Height: 1.5-2 feet (when down on all fours), 4-4.5 feet (when sitting back on hind legs)
Weight: Weighs about as much as a large German Shepherd. xd


The Canine:

Quite Rare.
Very loyal towards their owner, but vicious towards most strangers.

Height: 3.5-4 feet
Weight: About as much as a normal large breed of dog.


Feline:

Not a lot is know about this species, due to them being extremely rare.
It is hard to even spot one in the wild.
Very tempermental.
Also, they are usually very selfish.

The Wyrm:

Very rare, but we have managed to acquire quite a few, because they usually like people.
Their nature varies greatly, due to the strong influence that their alignment has on their overall personality.
(A small person may be able to ride on its back).

Weight: Lighter than they look, but still overall quite heavy.



Alignment and Color Information:

There are three alignments that Wasserpeier can have.
These are Dark, Neutral, and Light.
The symbol representing a Wasserpeier's alignment is in the bottom left corner of its cert.


Dark Alignment:

A dark aligned Wasserpeier will tend to be less amiable and have a darker personality and imagination.

Colors: Its coloring will tend towards darker shades. For example, dark reds, greens, purples, and black. (An example is my Wasserpeier, Kurai.)


Neutral Alignment:

A neutral aligned Wasserpeier will usually have a good, balanced personality.

Colors: Usually a mix of light and dark color shades. For example, white, black, greens, and yellows. (Example)


Light Alignment:

A light aligned Wasserpeier will usually have a caring and gentle personality. Also it will have a rather bright disposition.

Colors: Usually lighter shades. For example, white, light blue, yellow, purple, etc.
