When the sun sets and everythings quiet except for the crickets singing away, an attack has been plotted. The Akatsuki and the Sound plotting together to bring down Konohagakure, their enemy. The Sound's point in this is to just simply take over the village and as for the Akatsuki... To retrieve the Jinchuriki that await for them to take like simple bait on a hook, waiting..... When night falls and there's a large explosion on the east side of the village... The ANBU and every other Shinobi get ready to investigate, but when they reach their destination, there's nothing, but a simple clay bird.
Far off into the distance, a figure stood atop a roof. His hands positioned to activate his jutsu. A wicked grin on his features, a glint of amusement in his eyes. Then... The bird went off. An explosion was created, not to big though, but enough to kill a couple of the ANBU members. Laughter echoed throughout the whole village, from ever corner of Konohagakure. Soon... Everything was quiet. No more explosions, no more laughter, no more... Anything. Only the soft singing of the crickets. There were only minor damage to the village, nothing serious. After that... Everything was how it used to be. Just the same old Konoha it always was.
» Deidara's Point Of View «
A small chuckle escaped his lips, setting off the first set of clay animals. Nothing to big, but only to get the Konoha Shinobis into place. Placing his hands together, creating a hand sign, to soon activate his art, he waited for them to come. A large smirk crawled onto his thin lips, seeing the Shinobis run towards the sound of the previous explosions from his exploding clay. When he could see from his left eye that they were close enough to the clay creatures, some even poking their noses to investigate what they seemed to be, he simply said this nice, and softly, "Art is a bang, un!"
With that, there was a large explosion, killing only a couple of the ANBU members. Not what he was expecting, maybe just a couple more, but eh. It wasn't big of a deal so he left it at that. An evil laugh escaping his lips echoed throughout the village, coming from all directions. Unable to tell where the source came from, but then... It was gone... The blonde artist, Deidara, was gone... Into the night... Into the sky... Atop a large clay bird that held another figure, his Danna, Sasori. Together they flew away, unseen in the pitch black sky.

Sitting cross legged on top of the large clay bird his partner, Deidara had created, he waited until the blonde artist was done. Off in the distance he could see small flames along with a bang, the first explosion. The one that would trigger the Konoha-Nins to come running off into the direction. Such fools... Once a fools, always a fool. A small smirk crawled onto his lips as he watched from up above. The clay bird flapping its large clay wings. The wind picking up, his large, black, red clouded, Akatsuki cloak fluttered with the wind as well as his straw hat. The paper swaying rapidly. With that, he had to use his hand to keep his hat atop his head, so it wouldn't float down giving away where he was located.
Another loud bang, blood in the air, but not to much to stain it or to much to be a lot. There must've been two or three kills, but nothing above that. Pathetic, yes, but it was good enough to give the village a small warning. The air picked up his partner's laughter, he as well letting out a chuckle. That should be good for the time being. The bird took a small dip in the air, telling the Human Puppet that someone was aboard. He turned to look at the Clay Artist, a small smirk both etched onto their features. There was no word of, "Good job" or "Hmph. You could do better", but Deidara only received a small nod from his Danna. That was all he needed. With that, they were off soaring into the air, back to their hideout.

Now that the small diversion was over, the real fight would begin. The Akatsuki and even the Sound, which are Orochimaru's group along with Sasuke-kun, have come together, deciding to attack Konohagakure in a couple weeks later after the small attack. Will Konoha be ready? Would they even be able to fight back? Or will they fall?
