As he was pushed toward the green angel, Drake grew tense. What would he say? How does she feel? Oh god, what if there's another dragon?! The dracling stood, frozen by the chills that went up his spine. "So..."

Escape! Yes! Aii'n would have to escape some way! ... maybe... she could throw fish... at... a tree... to distract the purple... and Aii'n could fly away! Yeah! O.o oh.. does Aii'n even know how to fly yet?!? Huh?!? O.O Zoe's stared as the purple was suddenly closer... and... gonk Aii'n was gone! He was eatten already! Nooo!!! gonk "D-don't eat me too!" she squeaked... rather quietly... still clinging to her own tail for protection.

O.O "EEp!" Zoe jumped as her brother's voice came from behind her. Oh.... he wasn't eatten... Zoe blushed. She felt really foolish now that she knew Aii'n wasn't eatten... She slowly turned to the purple and let out a gasp that could be translated as a rather shy 'hi'.

"Huh..? Why would I eat anyone?" he looked down at the ground, embarassed by his first impression. How could he make up for it? As he looked down, he noticed a powder-pink flower, the exact same hue as the green dragon's hair. He picked it up and looked at her.

Zoe looked down at the ground. She felt really bad that she assumed he ate her brother. "I-I'm sorry..." she said, trying to come up with a good excuse, "I... you... I thought that... but... it wasn't..." what was this? she couldn't talk... as if some thing supernatural was preventing her from getting the words out. It felt weird. Zoe fiddled with her tail, "I-I was being silly... sorry..." she finally mumbled, still keeping her head down because she could feel the heat rising in her face.

Zoe looked up at the flower and blinked, "F-for me? It's beautiful!" she said carefully taking the flower from him. She loved flowers, they were always so beautiful, "T-thank you..." Zoe blushed and and looked into the purple's eyes and was surprized to find they were green! "Y-you have very pretty eyes," she mumbled and looked down again, hoping she didn't sound stupid...

This was weird...
He was just a guy, no different than her brother. Why was it hard to breathe?
Ba-dum ... Ba-dum ...
Zoe looked from the ground where she'd been staring to the pale pink flower in her hand. So delicate, so fragile. Holding it close, she looked into the purple's eyes again. There was something else there. Before she had mistaken his look for something bad, but only because she had never seen something like that in a dragon's eyes before. Not in Aii'n's... or Calli... or even the other blue, Kismet.
No, she was wrong, she had seen this look before... Aii'n looks at Kuu like that. So... what did this mean? Aii'n shared with her before that he was in love with Kuu... So why was... Drake? Why was he looking at her the way Aii'n looked at Kuu?
This was so strange... not only was the puzzle fitting together... but she was pretty sure that she was looking at him the same way. If only she wasn't so shy. This is the reason she liked art so much, even at her young age. Art... you can express yourself in so many different ways. A different tint will change a color as much as changing the whole hue. Yet they could mean different things... It was so much easier to say what you mean in paint or pencil what you mean. Zoe knew; it was taking all she had to talk to him. It would be much easier to write it all down.
Maybe she wasn't brave enough...
Maybe she will never be able to completely open up to anyone...
Zoe's eyes shifted again, back to the ground. She wondered if she would be hiding behind her brother for the rest of her life... It's possible... She's not as outgoing as he was. Sure, after she got to know someone she was able to warm up to them. But even so, her deepest feelings were still bottled up deep within her.
But that's life. She'll have to deal with her shyness by herself.
"Thank you, Drake," she finally said, trying to hold a steady voice. It didn't seem much, even to herself, but being able to say those tree words straight out was as much as she could handle for now...

((God, I hate my laptop! *drop-kicks it* stressed ))
Drake found himself staring at Zoe again. He couldn't help it. Something was going on inside him, something he couldn't avoid. He wanted.. no, needed to do something. Yet, Drake found himself holding back. The logical side of him was rearing it's ugly head. After all, they were just draclings, and they had just met. He swallowed the lump in his throat and said, "You're welcome."

Zoe gave him a little smile feeling her heart sink. She knew she was too young for- ... heh... what's the use? She must have been imagining things. And now that little voice in her head was telling her it was over. She met a new friend, he gave her a gift, now it's time for good-byes. What else was there to say? Zoe tried to keep her little smile from faltering, but what could she do? Guess it was time to move on. It's over with, move on... Stupid little voice...
"Heh,"Zoe gave a nervous laugh, "I-I guess i have to go find my brother now..." she said looking around for him, "He musta flown off without me..." ^^;;; ... Drat... if he really did, she'd have to quickly find out if she could fly herself... O.o She'd never tried before... gonk
