Tensions are rising between the various super-natural factions. Fearing for his families safety, the leader of one group hired a mercenary. This outraged many in the super-natural community, thinking him to be an ordinary human. But Mattias Nilsson is far from ordinary. The mercenary from Sweden is a null. More to the point, he's THE null. Magic doesn't affect him, & he is immune to magical diseases. And somehow, his 'gift' is different from previous nulls; his altered itself to make him almost impossible to kill via the usual methods (shooting, stabbing, etc). Not to say Mattias can't die. He's just a very hardy b*****d. This was discovered on the first & only kidnapping attempt of the leaders daughter. Anyways, the reasons war is brewing is that several factions think it's time to reveal the existance of the super-natural to the human race, the Cortez family being among them

Bio: Mattias was raised in America to a single mother, who had migrated to the US from Sweden. At age 18, Mattias joined the US Army, having no-where else to go. It was at age 25 that Mattias learned exactly what he was, in an attack on him by werewolf who had learned what Mattias was. Since then, Mattias has sold his skills to the highest bidder in the super-natural world.

Name: Yutress Criala (her nickname is Yutri)

Appearance: Yutri Her demonic form looks almost exactly like Himiru, except that she is much larger, just a bit bigger than most big cats, has black fur, and red eyes
Bio: Not much is known of this girl's past, and she isn't very well-known, though she is quite wealthy. Her parents are long-gone, and she has few close to her, aside from Himiru. She lives in a manor near the residence of the Supernatural leader, and visits often, though she rarely speaks with him.
Abilities: She has the ability to change back and forth between her human and demon form at will. She has a heightened sense of hearing and smell.

Other: Yutri has a small creature friend by the name of Himiru . They are of two very similar demonic races, and for every one of Yutri's race born, one of Himiru's race is born, and the two spend their lives together, an age-old tradition.

Appearance: Karin, but usually wearing servant's garb, with two slits in the back of her outfits for when she sprouts her wings. Her wings are a dark blue metallic color, about fourteen feet across. She also has a spade tipped, demon like tail that's about three feet long. Her ears are also pointed, with dark blue skin on the tips instead of normal human colored skin. Her right arm is also entirely covered in blue green scales, as are her shoulders and most of her back. She has fangs, and unless she files them down, claws on her hands as well. Her pupils are slitted, and her eyes are usually dark blue, though they do change shade with her emotions.
Bio: Her father was a mage and her mother was a demon he summoned in a battle one day. After the battle, she stuck around, though, and grew used to the human world and married Karin's father. Unfortunately, when they had Karin, her mother was forced to return to the spiritual plain, as it was against the law for a summon to do that. Karin's father blamed Karin for this and, while he didn't abandon her, he never really treated her like a daughter.... more like an apprentice, or somebody he was required to take care of... and when he deemed she was old enough to work, and survive on her own, he left her. That was when she was eight years old... and ever since then, she has been working at the Cortez house, since her father had often done work for Mr.Cortez. She does anything from gardening, to cleaning, to cooking for them, and in return, they have taken her into their home. For more than half of her life, now, Karin has lived with the Cortez family, working for them.
Abilites/Weapons: plant magic, fire magic, animal magic, and telekinesis. Carries a hidden dagger with her at all times.
Other: She's claustrophobic, and also keeps a snake out in the garden as a pet... kind of, which she calls Saber.

Bio: A spoiled young woman, everything in life has always come easy to Julia. However, her sheltered life has not caused her to be extremely arrogant. Julia fully understands the situation her father is in, and what he is trying to do, however he does not know this and tries to keep her out of his affairs. Julia is a very headstrong young woman, and she is fiercly loyal to her family and the faction.
Abilites/Weapons: Julia isn't much of a fighter, have grown up sheltered from the world. However, she keeps a small knife at her waist for emergencies. After the attempted kidnapping, Julia has begun to show more interest in fighting.
Other: Julia has a love of sweets, and she can often be found helping out around the house.

Appearance: Verin Except without the wings. >.<
Bio: Verin is the leader of one of the various Supernatural factions, primarily consisting of witches, similar to herself. She is known to be ruthless towards her enemies, though there are very few eyewitness accounts to prove this. Little is known about her past, as she remained largely unknown until she took control of her current faction. She has been allied with the Cortez family and their faction for quite some time, despite this, she has been one of the suspects in the kidnapping attempt against the Cortez's daughter. She denies having anything to do with it, though apparently no one seems to believe her.
Abilites/Weapon(s): Chained Axe As for abilities, she is a master of various magical spells, as well as being able to extend and retract the length of her weapon's chain at will.
Other: While she may be allied with the Cortez's, her position on revealing their society to humans remains a bit of a mystery. She has remained silent on the issue, letting the others fight over it like little children, in her opinion, at least.

Appearance: Platinum blonde, with short hair. His bangs are a little long and fall over his eyes, which are brownish-red. Pointed ears are the only thing characterizing him as anything but a human. Tan skin. Usual style of dress is fairly normal, despite his family's wealth - he prefers wearing jeans to something magical. On his more paranoid days, he wears white metal armor decorated with gold.
Bio: Vincent has led a fairly privelaged life at the hands of his rich family. As the eldest son, he has been trained in combat since he was very young, and is by now fairly expert, commanding a divison of his family's 'army' (although he takes almost no enjoyment out of fighting.) Him and his sister didn't interact too much when they were young, since he was usually busy being taught technique in a myriad of weapons.
Abilites/Weapons: Prefered weapon is a double bladed sword, held at the center. Blades are silver, 'hilt' is white. Proficient in use of most other weapons and a few magic techniques.
Other: Vincent has always been semi-reluctant to take up the mantle of being the heir to his family. Although he would never run away, and he will willingly do what is required of him by his parents, he has simply never had much of a taste for leadership, or for combat.

Bio razz rior to one year ago, Tait has no idea what happened to her.
Abilites/Weapons:She is 'Unbreakable' so to speak. Her bones can't be broken, she is unable to become sick or get bruises, etc
Other: She can't swim, so her weakness is water basically. She breaths in too fast and usually chokes on it. Therefore she is pretty scared of water. It is her main weakness. Magic will harm her however.

Bio: Diana is a humble and gentle person. Even so, she is forced to do horrid work. She has slight power over the weather, though doing so makes her very weak. The faction she is under, rival to the Cortez, uses Diana to gain influence and power. She does most of her work were no one can see her. Only a few know of her outside her faction.
Abilites/Weapons: Can influence the weather over a five mile radius
Other: She has a small house that she lives in outside of her faction's territory. But it is mostly empty because she spends most of her time in a large tower that was built especially for her to perform her magic. The tower is protected by various spells, making it both undetectable and virtually invisible.

Appearance: Hayden stands at five foot six with long slender curves. Her eyes are an eerie ice blue that all but glow in the dark. Her hair was once called strawberry blonde, but after so many dye experimentations as a teen she’s settled on white blonde and black for her thigh lengths tresses. Her clothing is either for comfort alone or for appearance, depending on the job. She nearly never dresses in between or in other styles.
Bio: Hayden was born to Melinda and Warren McNight, Melinda was an Animator for one of the more powerful Sorcerer families, The Levine’s. As an animator she was able to bring the dead to life, with the aid of incantations and blood. She met Warren, an elemental demon’s youngest half human son, when he was requited during a particular bad period between the magic families. To make a long story short, they fell in love, married and had Hayden. There would have been a second child, three years Hayden’s junior, but Melinda miscarried for unknown reasons.

Being a half demon’s child is nothing for Hayden, half demon’s children have none of their parents' powers. However, the same is not the case with Animators. When Hayden was four she started showing signs of her mother’s powers, by resurrecting at first small animals. Her mother started training her and it quickly became apparent that Hayden was by far stronger then her mother.

When Hayden finished High school she was scooped up by the Levine’s, allowing her mother to retire with one hell of a cushy allowance. Her father, at sixty, though he certainly appears and is in the condition of a healthy forty, still works with the Levine’s and sometimes will work with his daughter.
Abilities/Weapons: Hayden is able to raise the dead. Any dead, anytime without any assistance. She has nearly no limitations when it comes to this power, though she will save herself some work by using the conventional methods. Hayden carries a simple handgun for her own protection, and a raising kit which includes a large machete, blessed water, a cross, candles, spare change, a record book, tape recorder and several other useful items. These all go inside a duffel bag in the backspace of her aged Jeep.
Other:Hayden is tradable, and often does a job or two freelance as well as for some of the other families for a higher fee to appease the Levine’s.

Karin crouches down, plucking one last flower from the garden, then straightens up again and sighing pushes some hair from her face. Adding the flower to the bouquet she already had, Karin brushes the dirt off her dress, then heads into the kitchens. Smiling, she greets the other servants, then gets out a vase and fills it with water. Putting the flowers in the vase, she sets it on the table, then joins the others in making the next meal for the day.

Mattias gave Julia a look. He knew she had been eaves-dropping "Good day, Ms. Cortez" Mattias said "Hear anything you disagreed with?" he asked

Verin sat perched in one of the windows on the highest floor of her manor, the window having been opened earlier in the day by one of the maids, most likely. Sitting across the windowsill, she let one leg hang loosely along the outside wall, while the other was bent at the knee, her foot resting at the opposite end of the window from the rest of her. She looked utterly bored, her gaze darting to various things going on in the street below. Hmph, what to do... She wondered, just before her gaze lifted, finding it's way to the Cortez place, not far down the way. Lately, she had not been thrilled with them, mostly because she had been accused of trying to kidnap the guy's daughter. She would never stoop to something of the sort, and anyone that knew her ought to know that, she figured.

"Then you should be letting my father do his job," Julia said coolly. "Don't question my father, for he does know what he is doing. Stick to fighting, and nothing more," She stopped for a moment. "Actually, there is one other thing. I want you to teach me to fight."

"Has he now?" Julia asked, nodding. "Very well then. I will take full advantage of him," She told him, turning away and beginning to walk away again.

Julia sighed as she heard Mattias follow her. She didn't enjoy being watched constantly, but she knew it was for the best. "So what will you do when this job is over?" She asked.
