Kingdom of Estonia
This kingdom is more of the traditional type of kingdom you would expect to see in a kingdom RP. This kingdom is more of a European style kingdom with a monarchy. The royal family is not expected to do more than rule over the kingdom. In fact it is looked down upon for the royal family to put themselves in any sort of danger. They throw their lawbreakers in prison and enslave their enemies.


Xiao Min Empire
They are a more Asian kingdom, both culturally and racially. Unlike Estonia, the royal family is expected to do more than just rule the kingdom. They will participate in the kingdom's army, or they will spy on other kingdoms who happen to be enemies at the moment, or even act as assassins. If the current ruling family dies, a new one will be selected. Also unlike Estonia, The Xiao Min Empire does not take slaves or put their criminals in prison. Instead they brainwash them and pretty much turn them into new people. For enemies, they will even go so far as to use magic to physically alter them to conform with the rest of the kingdom.

Important Notes
Magic exists, but it isn't extremely common or easy to learn. This means that most people are incapable of using magic and those that can devote their entire lives to it.

The Xiao Min slaves in Estonia have been held long enough that they are allowed to work around the royal family.

Like real life, there is no good or evil side. This means there should be no stereotypically evil characters. If you decide to play a murderer, or a thief, you will not be on either kingdom's side.

Because the the cultural and racial differences between the two kingdoms, people from Estonia will have more European names and apperances, while people from the Xiao Min Empire will have Asian names and apperances.

Slaves in Estonia are any captured enemy, meaning that Xiao Min slaves aren't the only ones. They are only the most recent. Estonia slaves can be from any kingdom, and since there are many more than just these two, you are free to make one up, as long as their geographical location does not conflict with anything.

Xiao Min is located southeast of Estonia. Obviously, they share a border.

This is medieval times, and as such there are no guns.

Notable Information: Nathell is blind in one eye, stemming from an incident in his past. He is also one of the more powerful mages known.

Name: Ito Shanelle
Age: 22
Appearance: Ito stands roughly five foot six, her hair falls around her face in straight black locks that fall past her hips, though the mass is often pinned up and out of her eyes. Her eyes are an unusual green, a trait she picked up from her father, which is accompanied by her lightly freckled skin. Her body type is an odd blend of her mother’s people and her fathers, tall and slim, but with wide hips and shoulders with a fair amount of breast. Her clothing is proper for the period, but is nearly always in plain colors, later when she completes her apprenticeship she will adorn more colorful clothes.

Notable Information: Ito’s mother is native to the Xiao Min Empire, while her father was born and raised in another more distant country that’s to the north, beyond Estonia. He had been an adventurer and scientist, and had met Ito’s mother, Hinako, when they were in their youthful adult years. When Ito was young, her mother took her to one of the royal mages, to see if her daughter had the potential required to restore the honor she felt she had lost. It turned out the child had the signs of potential and was taken on by the age of seven. Since then She’s been studying hard and perfecting everything she can. When she becomes a royal mage, she will not have everything perfected, as is well known, but Ito strives to excel in all aspects.

Notable Information: She is originally from the kingdom of Niara--located some distance to the north of Estonia. When she was young, her land and Estonia were at war, and she was taken into slavery along with the rest of her family. An accident during her early years as a slave, left her blind. Despite her blindness, she is a competent slave, having learned to use her other senses to her advantage. However, she is often looked over, as one would expect a blind slave to be worthless.

Name: Matthew Macdrae
Age: 20
Appearance: Prince Mathew would not be considered an attractive person by many. His is quite tall in skinny almost to the point of being gangly. He has lean fast muscles from all his fencing practice but they don’t do much for his figure. He has yellowish blond hair that is cut somewhat in a bowl cut and has light blue eyes. His face is pinched and he always seems to bear somewhat of a bored tired expression. He dresses in clothes fitting of his position.

Notable Information: Mathew likes to practice fencing and is an artist. He likes to sketch and paint. Life drawings are his favorite. Matthew also takes much interest in learning how to govern and preparing for the role fated to him. Though Matthew doesn’t look like much of a leader, but he has proven to be quite shrewd and good at handling tough situations. He seems to have his own ideas on how the kingdom should be run though he doesn’t express them. Once a night he has a slave woman brought to his chambers. What then goes no one knows as the women are sworn to an oath to not talk about it.

Name: Chenglei Gail
Age: 40
Appearance: Attractive for his age, Chenglei is 5'8", with long, sleek black hair that he wears in a ponytail reaching down shortly past his shoulders. His eyes are thinner than most, even for someone from Xiao Min, and his face is angular and sharp to match. His skin is remarkably free of wrinkles for the most part, and is smooth and dark. Although not very tall, he is gangly and thin, weighing 145 lbs. In a way more reminiscent of a swimmer or a rock climber than a wrestler, he is muscular. He wears what one would expect of someone in his position - wrapped tunics of ornate fabric with sashes and knee-length silk pants which hang loose at their cuff.

Notable Information: Chenglei was trained rigorously in the use of magic since he was able to speak, and is very accomplished in it. To his pupils, he is an authoritarian figure, with whom they can get away with very little, but who inspires more respect than fear.

Name: Indril Macdrae
Age: 21
Appearance: Indril stands at about 5'6", though usually appears a bit taller thanks to her often-heeled shoes, and her slim figure. Her hair is a medium brown, draping down roughly just above her knees in loose curls. Her eyes are a dark green, and usually portray a calm demeanor, along with the rest of her fair-skinned face. Most of her clothing is a deep green color, usually with bits of black and white. {Something like this}

Notable Information: Being the eldest princess, Indril has always been taught to act 'perfect' as a princess should. Having grown up in such a manner, she portrays most of it well, without a second thought. On the other hand, she is a very curious creature, often finding herself getting into trouble simply to find out more about any given subject. There is only one thing that she truly dislikes about being born a princess--the inevitable being forced into some political marriage to gain an ally, or something of that nature. The topic has not come up as of yet, but the possibility is always looming in the back of her mind.

Verin silently walked one of the many corridors of the castle, making her way back to what one would call her 'quarters'. As a slave, she was given very little, but she made no complaints, knowing all too well what would come of it. Soon, she stepped into the small room, which she shared with a handful of other slaves, and silently seated herself. Her blindfolded gaze shifted around, pointing to the others in the room for a second or so, before finally lowering to her lap. Though she was blind, she could tell where they were, simply from the sound of their breathing.

They said nothing to her, merely going on with their conversation as though she was deaf as well. She did not care, however, and merely laid down upon the small bed that was hers. She had nothing to do for now, and would simply wait until that was no longer the case. After all, what more was there to the life of a slave?

Nathell sighed, pacing in his study "Dark clouds are forming" he said softly "War is coming"

Li entered the library, still looking through the notes. She wished they had notes on the layout of the Estonia castle. Most castles, palaces, and the like were riddled with secret passages that had been forgotten about for a long time. Locating those and using them would provide a huge advantage. It seemed she'd have to locate some old plans once she was undercover in the castle. Hopefully slaves were allowed to look at things like that, or else she would have to resort to searching manually, which could often prove fruitless unless she got lucky.

"Hmm?" Li looked up an noticed Ito. "Oh, you wouldn't happen to know if we have any more information on Estonia, would you?" Li asked, looking at Ito.
