November, 2013: The US, Russian and Chinese space programs all create an armed satellite which they send up into space, programmed to shoot down any missiles on the weapons of mass destruction scale, thus eliminating the possibility of nuclear war. Technology has increased, though, and wars are still fought, so a new weapon must be found. The government decides to try out humans. March, 2014: An island in the Atlantic ocean is sold to the US government and the entire island is sanctioned as a military base, all civilians are removed and a laboratory is built upon the island. December, 2014: Soldiers that want to 'become stronger, faster, or smarter, through scientific engineering, to better serve their country;, volunteer to become experiments in this new lab. August 2015: Most, almost all, volunteers have died off, become mentally ill, or are in one way or another no longer stable or healthy. Nobody else from the military volunteers. Lab begins using death row inmates and orphans. May 2016: Both groups fail, the death row inmates due to their instability from the start, the orphans from their young and frail bodies giving out. Again, almost none survive. July 2016: Talk of shutting the program down begins to start up. A few orphans are stolen now and then, but the scientists are desperate and don't expect a very high chance of success. September 2016: The program is shut down and the island is bought up by a private investor, the billionaire owner of the most advanced technological and weapons company at the time, one which put some of the willing guards and scientists onto a new payroll. The lab was thought to have closed, but it in fact it did not.
Present day May 2017: The lab has been open under new direction for a while now. People are being brought back in again as 'volunteers', though many of them are not. Compared to this new lab, the government owned one was almost kind.

The island (ignore the second island)The compound is built underground in the mountain, with various hatches and entry points to the outside. Sometimes, experiments are let out into an area of the jungle that is entirely caged in, both around and above the area to keep in flying experiments. If the experiment is no longer land worthy, the island also has a cove by the beach that is fenced in where these experiments are kept. Inside the compound, the experiments are kept in either jail like cells, largish cages... or if they prove to be difficult, another part of the compound in solitary rooms, much like rooms in a mental hospital. If they prove to be on good behavior, though, they usually get to go outside in the outdoor exhibit like cages for a while.

Rules Alright, follow the normal tos rules and the rules of this guild cursing and romance are fine, just keep it pg-13, or whatever limit it is we follow here no godmoding, except for scientists, they get to gmod, as long as it isn't killing or ultimately maiming the experiments what I say goes Um... pm profiles to me... and that's about it for now. I'll post more as I think of them.
Character forms:
Username: Name: Age: Appearance: (pictures preferred) bio: (a few sentences about your past. Make sure to mention how you got brought here) Personality: experiment or scientist?: If scientist, department: (genetic, neurological, administration, or technological) If experiment, changes in mind: (leave blank if you don't care. As for changes, its only limited by what you can think of. The more creative the better. ^_^ but don't be all powerful. )

Profiles Experiments:::: Username:Rinel_underwood Name: Lynet Sharp Age: 20 Appearance: Lynetbio: Lynet has always been weak of health. She has a week immune system, because of the fact that she had leukemia when she was a child. She survived it, but never fully recovered, and spent much of her life in a hospital. This put a strain on her family, which was never a great one. When she was ten, they actually abandoned her, left her for a test one day and went to the hospital cafeteria, then never returned. For a few years, her grandparents tried to take care of her, but they couldn't handle it and gave her to an orphanage. It was funded by the private company that ran the lab. The children were taken care of till they were old enough to have a chance of surviving the tests. Lynet was never considered strong enough, but they decided to take her anyways when she'd decided to try and stay with the orphanage and work there, not to mention there was no way she could pay them back for all her hospital bills. They figured her 'volunteering' was the least she could do for them. Personality: Lynet's body is weak, but her mind isn't. She's stubborn and hardheaded. She loves to read and solve puzzles. She wishes she could do sports, but settles for things like Chess and playing musical instruments instead. She hates it when others pity her, and tries not to show when she feels sick or unhappy. experiment or scientist?: experiment If experiment, changes in mind: something to make her stronger, or give her mind powers to make up for her physical shortcomings. Alterations so far: An ability to melt metal with a touch (will develop further with time), black leopard DNA, increasing speed and strength and giving her a tail, ears and fur. Username: [River] Name: Felicia Tristan Age: 17 Appearance: Felicia When taken to the lab, she was given a flexible black jumpsuit to wear. It is made of a waterproof, synthetic material that fits hugs her body. It is sleeveless with a mock-turtleneck and extends to about mid-thigh, like a pair of bike shorts. Bio: Felicia was nothing out of the ordinary. She did her work in school and hoped to go to college for fashion design. Her small circle of friends knew her as a kind soul whose childlike innocence had never quite left her as she went through her junior year in highschool. One night, her friends persuaded her to go to a local party for the football team. She reluctantly agreed and donned a simple but cute outfit to go. Denim mini, a black tank top, and a jacket. Once there, she did what any teenager girl would do: scope out a cute boy and stay with him for the remainder of the night. The boy she happened to find, Isaiah, was not what he seemed. After hanging out for a few hours, Isaiah suggested they go for a walk, to which Felicia happily agreed. A few minutes later, she found herself being bound, gagged, and thrown into a white truck with a few injections of sedative. She woke up in a cage and has been there ever since. Personality: Despite being double-crossed, Felicia still remains her childlike naiveity and innocence. She is hurt easily, but never opts to show it. Being in the lab has begun to harden her heart and she fears that she will lose herself in time. Experiment or scientist?: Experiment. If experiment, changes in mind: No idea. Scientists, you have complete freedom with this one.Username: Mystery Wolf Name: Aneriah Tolendo Age: 21 Appearance: Herebio: Aneriah had a fairly normal. People have always said he was a strange one though. One night when he was out coming home from work a car looked as if it was following him. He was fine that night but the next night the same car pulled up and stopped. Two men stepped out and gagged him with chloroform. He is still asleep even when he is being brought to the lab... Personality: He's usually fairly quiet experiment or scientist?: Experiment If experiment, changes in mind: I don't really care. No insects though. Scientists:::: Username: Zaydin Name: Diego Vicente Snyder Age: 29 Appearance: Diego SnyderBio: Diego is a spy for the US Government, under the CIA. He was planted there to keep an eye on the goings at the lab. To make sure nothing that would undermine the strength of the government was being done. Though his cover is in the administration, he routinely visits the other wings, & has agents he recruited amongst the scientists & guards to report to him. Discreetly, of course. He also does what he can to make life that much more tolerable for the subjects, letting them know that they haven't been forgotten. Personality: Kind, caring. Paranoid to a point, cautious. Experiment/Scientist/Other: Spy/Scientist Department: Administration Username: Radryn Tiaos Name: Wade Botts Age: 25 Appearance: Herebio: After graduation, Wade spent allot of time and money on government grants for his gene therapy experiments. His overall goal was to be able to create someone who was immune to sickness. After repeated denial for a fourth grant to enable the process to move forward certain benefactors offered him a position, under the express condition that he apply this form of medicine to all manner of test subjects till it was perfected. Believing this to mean they simply wanted him to use it on something unusual like monkeys or sheep he quickly signed the contract and was brought to a laboratory facility by helicopter. Personality: Wade is kind and well natured, but often takes an informal position on anything having to do with his work, he believes what he is accomplishing far outweighs the costs of getting there. experiment or scientist?: Scientist If scientist, department: Genetic

"Ow, that hurts. Let go of me you brutes!" Lynet protests, trying to struggle as the two large guards pull her between them down the white hallway. She didn't put up much of a fight. It already felt like their strong, vice-like grip was only moments away from snapping her frail arms. She had woken up on some deep sea fishing ship about an hour ago, right as they reached some island, then taken ashore, quite roughly by these two. They'd already dragged her through a maze of underground tunnels and checkpoints. She'd gone quietly at first, still out of it what they'd drugged her with, but now she was trying rather unsuccessfully to struggle and break free. Even if they hadn't stolen her when she'd been leaving the hospital and she'd been like normal teens, she wouldn't be able to break free from these two. They were insanely strong and seemed beyond unemotional. "What you're doing is wrong. You can't just kidnap people. Let me free!" She shouts, trying to dig in her heels as they reach a section of hall lined with cells. The two men ignore her, actually dragging her along, then reach the cell. One slides the door aside, the other shoves her in. Lynet stumbles forward, trips, catches herself on the corner of the bed before she sprawls on the ground, then winces. The doors clang behind her and the two guards walk off without a word. Grimacing, she rubs her bruised arms where they'd been holding her and looks around quietly.

Dr. Snyder showed up a few minutes later, outside Lynets cell "Miss Sharp?" he asked, stepping inside "I'm Dr. Snyder. I'd like to ask you a few questions" he said, taking out a clip-board "Nothing too personal. Just a few questions."

Lynet blinks as somebody enters her cell only a few minutes after the guards left. Lynet looks up at him, frowning slightly. He reminded her of a doctor by the way he dressed, but... well she'd been around them all her life. Something seemed... Lynet shakes her head. She was being ridiculous. "Er um... sure. But first of all, why am I here? What do you people want with me? What is this place?" She asks, trying hard to keep the panic out of her voice. She was definitely freaked out by being here, but they didn't have to know that.

"It's not what I want as to what 'they' want" Diego answered, & pressed a hidden button on the wall, shutting off the security cameras watching the cell "I'm CIA Agent Diego Vicente Snyder" Diego said, pulling out his CIA I.D. "I was assigned here to keep an eye on what's going on here to make sure nothing done here will undermine the strength of the US Government. And, on my own, try to make things more tolerable for those in your situation" Diego explained "Now, I cannot stress the importance to you to keep what you just heard me say to yourself. The guards out there won't talk. They are CIA men. I recruited them"

Lynet looks shocked for a moment at this revelation, then nods numbly. "Yea... of course. Sure. No problem." She mutters, wondering if maybe she'd never left the hospital at all, but was on heavy drugs at the moment. Sure this felt more realistic than most dreams, and it was a bit weirder, but it was easier to believe. "Um, but what do 'they' want, then? Why was I brought here?" She asks. Real or not, she figured it best to figure this all out fast, just in case.

"To put it bluntly, human experimentation" Diego answered "This facility USED to belong to the US government, but the program was scrapped, & bought by a private investor. The program the government was running is being continued by the company to create the ultimate weapon" he finished

"Ultimate weapon? From people?" She asks in disbelief, staring at him, then shakes her head. "How? I don't understand." She replies... or, more like she didn't want to understand. She was willing to bet she had an idea of how... but that sounded insane. Surely not. They wouldn't actually alter people, make them monsters, would they? Make them into freaks like the heroes and villains of tv shows or comic books? No, it had to be something else.

Lynet just gives another nod, forcing a smile to her lips, though it wasn't a very strong one. She did feel somewhat comforted by his words, though. "Er, thank you, Mr.Snyder." She replies, then hesitates. "But... if the government knows of this place, knows what is going on here, why hasn't it put a stop to this place? This is illegal, isn't it?" She asks, confused now that she thought about it.

"It's hard to explain that" Diego answered, shaking his head "The company that owns the facility now has multiple weapons research contracts with the military" he added "Meaning, we shut this place down, they cancel their contracts"

"So, even though people are being kidnapped and experimented on here, because the company that owns this place does business with the military, they get to continue their illegal work?" She asks, then frowns at the sound of that. Then again, the US had gone to war with other countries over goods and things like that... so it shouldn't be all that shocking, she supposed, to hear they were ok with this... but it was, because she now found herself in some laboratory as part of this 'ultimate weapons' experimentation program. Lynet sighs, then looks to Snyder again. "So um... what happens to me now? Didn't you say you were here to ask me questions?" She asks.
