Something odd has been going on. We found these Angels in the basement, all huddled in a corner. But there’s something odd about them. Their wings are small and black, their skin is so pale and their eyes are… not normal. I have decided to call them the Nocturnes, Angels that are dark, but have not fallen. I wonder where they came from?
And then there is Cassandra, an Angel of rebellion with blood red eyes, ghost white hair, and even whiter skin. She was found in a coffin in the backroom of the basement. The Angel has a hard stare and a taste for blood. Scarier is this: she claims to be the Queen of the Damned. If this is true, then are the rest vampric angels or just have been kept out of the sun too long?
This is not all we have found in the basement, however. We have also found werewolf angels as well. And, stranger, a ghost. There is definitely something not right about the basement…
But, where have these Angels come from? From the fallen angels, or are they messed up experiments? We shall find out…
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
This is the first of many plot events. It just so happens to tie into the actual Halloween Event as well.
We will find out many things by the end of this event and you may or may not get an Angel from the basement. Who knows? Only fate knows for sure, and we all know you shouldn't play with fate.
Anyone may roleplay, even if they do not have a Angel. You may recieve one, however. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The event will run until Thanksgiving or so. Enjoy! Your first post should be you and your Angel, if you have one, coming to the Angel Feathers shop after being told that there was something ergent to discuss. Post away!
Aleya paced in the front room of the shop, her white and blue wings twitching. She did not like what Mak had found in the basement one bit. "Let them rot. They are of no use to us," she had said. Only, of course, Mak had said otherwise.
"She never learns... playing with them will just get all of us fallen in no time," she muttered, crossing her arms over her chest. Now, she had to wait for the rest of the Keepers, and Angels to arrive. Such a boring job in her opinon.
Downstairs, Mak attempted to count the number of Angels she had in in the basement. This was futile as the ghosty one kept moving in and out of the wall, making Makette count her multiple times.
"Oh, I give up. There is no use for me to count them all," she sighed with a shake of her head. She turned her attention to one of the Angels in the corner, looking rather regal. "Oh, Cassandra stop acting like a queen."
The Angel in question turned her red and silver eyes upon Mak. "I anwser to no one, human."
Kanna sighed as she entered the shop, Noah fluttering beside her. She had been told of an interesting event at the tiny little shop. Angels...In the basement? It was a very interesting thing to happen. She noticed Aleya pacing around.
"We came." She simply said, interested. Noah watched the older angel, amazed. Would he grow to be like her? Oh how he hoped so! "So there's new ones?" He smiled, also interested.
Aleya raised her eye brow and sighed. "Well, you're the first two," she said. She walked to the basement door and shouted, "MAK! WE GOT PEOPLE!"
Mak raced up the stairs, shutting the door behind her. "Aleya, do know that the werewolves will think you are howling if you do that." She flicked her angel on the head before turning to Noah and Kanna.
"Ah, hello. Noah and Kanna, I presume?" she asked, remembering the black haired boy. She ran a hand through her red hair and ajusted the goggles on her head. "I'd show you the Angels... but, um... well... let's just say that its not safe at the moment."
There was a slam against the basement door and a vile curse. Aleya shook her head.
"This is what you get but not leaving them alone, Mak," she scoled her Keeper, perching on the counter.
Kanna nodded to Mak. "We came as soon as we heard. Noah's been wanting a playmate, you see.." She smiled sweetly. Noah blushed lightly, but nodded at Kanna's notion. He kept his gaze on Aleya, amazed at how graceful the older angel was.
Kaeth zoomed through the door, fluttering his tiny little wings. Emi, exhausted from the running, came following after the tiny thing. "I heard there was something urgent. Who died?" Kaeth chimed cheerfully. "Sorry... I'm... late," Emi panted from the door. "Someone just had to take a nap." Kaeth pouted."So. Did I miss anything?"
Mak chuckled darkly. "I don't know if these will be good playmates..." she said, sweat dripping down her temple. She turned to Kaeth and Emi. "Long time no see, you too. Last time I saw you, Kaeth flew into Aleya"--at this Aleya glared at the blonde boy--" but that's past."
Aleya rolled her eyes. "No one died, Kaeth. Rather, we just have some rather fisty ones..."
There was another slam, this time followed by a howl. Mak nodded to Aleya and she pointed her finger at the door. A solid beam shot out of it and the clicking of locks could be heard.
"Anyway, we'll let the werewolves calm down and I'll inform you of what I've found. If you'll follow me." Mak ussered them down the hall.
Emi followed cautiously as was her norm. Careful not to knock anything over, she looked around as she walked. Kaeth, however, just flew by without a care. "Down this hall right?" He asked not caring too much for the answer since he was already halfway down.
Mak rolled her eyes. "Yes, Kaeth. This hall way. Is he always like this, Emi?" She asked the Keeper, wondering what the kid was eating.
Aleya shook her head and grapped Kaeth by the back of his shirt, the large Angel holding him back. "Kaeth, for my sanity, and yours, don't charge a head so much." She let go, patting him on the head.
Mak stopped by a door and unlocked it. The white washed door had a placard reading, "Office of Makette Hiens, Owner of Angel Feathers". She opened the door and ushered them in.
"Aleya, dear, could you stay by the door, in case someone else comes?" she asked her Angel, who sighed.
"Yes, Mak, but don't count on me keeping the Nocturns in the building if they get out," the blue haired girl said, sitting by the door to Mak's office.
Mak chuckled and seated herself behind her desk. "Now, to why you are all here. To what I have found in the basement."
"Yeah, Kaeth is usually quite energetic," Emi replied to the first question, "But I don't think it helped that he found my stash of candy just earlier," She sighed. She walked through the door with Kaeth now sitting on her shoulder after being told off by Aleya. "So what's this about Nocturns and basements?" Emi asked, somewhat creeped by the mysterious thing below.
Mak laced her fingers together. "Well I have found Angels in the basement. But they're not normal Angels. They looked like they've fallen, but they haven't. These Angels are pale with small black wings, even the adults. Somehow, they still are able to fly... We haven't figured out that yet."
She paused for a moment. "Course, that just the overall look of things. The real problem is Cassandra--"
BANG! Aleya jumped off her chair, eyes wide. She raced out the door. "MAKETTE! We have a problem!" Mak jumped her desk and leaned out of her door. Her Angel flew down the hall.
"Aleya, what happened?" She asked.
"The seal failed. You know my seals don't hold without my charm. Cassandra... the vampires.... the werewolves... are gone. They ran out into the city. The ghost and the marrionette are still here, however."
Mak cursed. "Change of plans, Emi, Kanna. We have Angels to find." This was what she wanted to avoid. She made a silent decision to finally find Aleya's charm.
Noah squeaked and hid under Kanna's hair at the bang. "B-But it's not a rainy day!" He squeaked at Mak's order. Kanna frowned. "It'll be ok, Noah..I'm here to guard you, ne?" She smiled, reaching back and giving Noah a little pat. The little angel smiled, happy to not be alone. "Well...We'd best start looking, right?" She grinned once more.
"Yay!" Kaeth squealed, "We get to go hunting!" "You're missing the point here kiddo," Emi sighed. "Well guess we better start looking too. Where should we start?"
Noah looked over at the other angel curiously. "Uhm...Hi.." He peeked out from under Kanna's hair. Kanna smiled. "Yeah..I guess we should."
Mak turned to Aleya. "Stay here." The Angel scoffed and glared.
"Why? Why can't I come?" she asked furiously.
"Because I need someone here to guard the shop and make sure that any that come back stay in here!" She ordered Aleya. The Angel glared harder and stamped her foot. She slammed the door once everyone was out.
Mak shook her head. She looked out on the streets of Junia, looking to see if she could see if there was any sign of the Nocturns. She glanced at the setting sun.
"Okay. Our first priority is to find the werewolves. They pose the biggest threat right now. If you are able to bond with one or two, then alright. However, just try to get them back here... or outside Junia's limits. We'll deal with the vampires once the sun comes up."
