Introduction The Outcast Orphanage is a place that takes in any child under the age of eighteen. Unlike most orphanages, though, the children of this orphanage are a bit... different. Some are nonhumans, shunned by society, others are human, but have amazing powers, ranging from shapeshifting to control of an element. Here they can come to be accepted and safe from the world around them, and hopefully one day even find a permanent family that can accept them. Because of what they are, though, those chances are low, so the orphanage was created to become their home, where they could make friends and be part of a family. Now the doors are opening again to a new batch of orphans. All are welcome here.

Setting The person funding this orphanage is rather rich. As such, all orphans get their own rooms, and the house is pretty nice. There is a large lawn and a pool around the back. Nearby is also a relatively large town, and the place is about an hours drive from the city. The rp can take place both in the orphanage and in town (especially if we actually get somebody playing an adopter. When your character gets adopted, if they do, they can still rp in the town and visit the orphanage) The kitchen Hang out/ main room Pool (Minus fence) Bedroom style A Bedroom style B Kid's bedroom Dinning room There is also a library, music room, art studio, and upstairs lounge area. Might add more pictures later.

Rules/profiles Orphans can only have up to 3 powers, and must have a weakness for each Not much fighting please. Understandable if its an argument that gets violent, but this is an orphanage, so people don't just go around with weapons, looking to fight On that note, no weapons please. Again, they don't really have a place in all of this. no killing others obviously, no gming Orphans need to be under 18. Parents should be over 25 I should say, probably older. The caretaker can be anybody over 18. Keep it pg-13, or whatever it is we keep it at in this guild Pm me profiles I am constantly accepting new people, unless I say otherwise Appearances can be descriptions or pictures, no avis please

Profiles Orphans (by room #) Username: Rinel_Underwood Name: Rayne Hammond Age: 16 Race: human Gender: female Appearance:Rayne . She stands about 5 foot 5 and is rather thin. She has some weird scars on her right shoulder in a circular burst sort of pattern. She has dark blue eyes and often wears this . Personality: Rayne is very temperamental. The smallest things set her off and she very rarely tries to face them, instead choosing to lash out or run. She keeps a lot to herself and never trusts others. She is always hostile and suspicious towards those who try to get close to her. Instead, she often acts as a loner and keeps others at arms length, never letting them close. She has the capacity to care.... maybe, but its been buried deep because of her past. On rare occasions, when she doesn't feel threatened, she is usually laid back and quiet, watching over the younger orphans, or even sometimes playing with them or cooking for them. Powers/Abilities: pyrokinetics. She can create fire, or just generate heat at will. This power is very strong, since it is her only power. Weaknesses/Disabilities: Well, if Rayne’s emotions become too out of control, things tend to start warming up a bit, then eventually catching fire. She also gets cold very easily, like, cannot go outside in the winter, and is almost always wearing long sleeves... also for some reason, she can't be out in the rain. She also can't swim. Basically cold and water are huge problems for her. Background/History: When Rayne was 8, her mother, who was a cop, was killed in the line of duty. Up until that day, Rayne's life was completely normal. She had two great, loving parents, and the best older brother a kid could ask for... but her mother's death changed everything. Her father began to drink, her brother, who was fifteen, got involved with the wrong kind of people, and began to do drugs. Rayne's father was no longer a loving and kind person, but an angry drunk, and sometimes he took it out on Rayne and her brother. When she was ten, her bother decided he'd had enough and ran away. She never saw him again. Meanwhile, at home, it only got worst for Rayne. Her father started to move them around the country, so nobody would ever pay attention long enough to connect the dots. Shortly after she turned thirteen, though, her fire powers finally manifested and lashed out at her father. She killed him, and burned down their house. She was placed in foster care, but her violent temper lead to numerous other fires before she realized her abilities, and had been moved to two other orphanages. After that, Rayne started to interact with people even less than she had been before, which wasn't much, and focused on controlling and suppressing her emotions. She would slip up sometimes, though, usually when she slept and had nightmares, and shortly after she turned sixteen, she was sent to the Outcast Orphanage. She's been there for a few weeks now. Room #: 1 Other: She loves to cook, listen to music and draw. She also loves cats. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Username: Katherine1 Name: Lily Rossi Age: 4 Race: Human Gender: Female Appearance: Lily is about 3'4" tall, with shoulder length red hair and green eyes. She is rather thin from not eating a lot before being dropped off in the orphanage. Personality: Lily is a quiet, haunted girl. Because of her telepathy, she has seen many things she wasn't supposed to. Because she can't do anything to stop her power, she feels guilty for knowing things that people want to keep secret. Powers/Abilities: Telepathy Weaknesses/Disabilities: She can't shut off her power, so the thoughts of everyone nearby are always in her head. Sometimes she even picks up memories without meaning to. Background/History: Lily's father died in a car crash shortly before she was born. For the first couple years of her life, she lived with her mother. When she was about 3 years old, her mother fell ill and died shortly thereafter. Lily's power had manifested prior to her mothers death, and after that it served as something that alienated her from other people. She was bounced around from orphanage to orphanage because no one really wanted a mind reader near them. Now she has finally ended up here. Room #: 3 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Username: Mystery Wolf Name: Jake Boyd Age: 16 Race: Human Gender: Male Appearance: HerePersonality: He's quiet but easily can change tempers. Powers/Abilities: Shapeshifting (Including...shifting genders.) Weaknesses/Disabilities: Cannot control powers under extreme emotions. Cannot talk when shifted into animals except as what the animal speaks. Background/History: Jake had a fairly quiet life. He remembers changing under conditions ever since he was born but his parents just denied and hid it- saying it was 'part of growing up.' His parents were killed in the night by a mysterious force that not only killed them- but demolished their whole house. That was quite a long time ago. Jake actually woke up away from the house the very next day. Some day it was him that demolished the house and killed his parents, but he doesn't remember it. Room #: 5 Other: ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Username: Aneman333 Name: Joan Age: 15 Race: human Gender: female Appearance: Very pale, with dark black hair, and golden cat-like eyes. She also has fangs and a black tail. Personality: She is usually pretty quiet, and she gets very nervous if she's surrounded by a lot of people. She is also very sensitive about her more cat-like features. Powers/Abilities: She can transform into a black and white cat, but she also retains some cat-like qualities even in her most human form (i.e. tail, eyes, fangs). Weaknesses/Disabilities: In the cat form, she behaves like a cat, almost losing herself in the transformation. She can only stay in that form for a limited amount of time, or risk losing herself completely. Background/History: She is new to the orphanage and is a little afraid. She had a pretty ordinary life, until she turned fifteen, when her odder appendages (i.e. her tail) grew in. In an unfortunate coincidence, both her parents are deathly allergic to cats, so she was sent here. Room #: 6 Other: She loves string, even in her human form Adopters Username: Zaydin Name: Andrei Zhdanov Age: 35 Gender: Male Appearance: AndreiPersonality: Calm, collected. Paranoid to a small degree. Deeply loving, however Background/History: Andrei grew up in the waning years of the Soviet Union, under the leadership of Gorbachev. Though more open than previous Soviet Regimes, there was still considerable levels of paranoia. Andrei worked in the Kremlin until Vladimir Putin took over as Russian President. Andrei quit in protest of Putin's abuses of power. Job: Ex-Kremlin Employee. Currently a historian on the Soviet Union & noted critic of Vladimir Putin Other: N/A Caretaker SkyeBaby Username: SkyeBaby Name: Juliana Charmicheal Age: 26 Gender: Female Appearance: JulianaPersonality: Juliana is most often a gentle person, someone who truly tries to help those around her. She cares for those placed in her hands, and will do nearly anything for them. Background/History: Juliana is the neice of the man who founded the orphanage, and as such, works with very little pay. Her uncle founded the orphanage with Juliana in mind, seeing as the young woman was an orphan as well as the children she cares for. Juliana's parents died in a car accident when she was five, on their way home from a show or some thing along those lines. Juliana had been cared for by her uncle ever since, and it only seemed natural that an orphan help out others in their previous situations. JobCaretaker of the Orphanage.

Updates/events November 17th: Voting for having thanksgiving in the orphanage has started. Vote if you think its a good idea or not. ^_^
November 17th: Well, the votes were positive enough that I'm gonna do it. I know nobody ever shows at the same time, and posting is slow, so I'm doing this a different way than most people do events. Basically, everybody finishes up whatever thing they might be doing by friday in the rp so a new day can start. That day will be thanksgiving, and the orphanage will have a big dinner (or something, depends how much activity there is around here). Help out with the cooking, then hang out during the dinner and whatnot. Watch football, set up a sports game in the back yard. The main goal is to get everybody in the rp interacting in a big group, like family. It'll go all weekend, and then we'll start trying to wrap it all up by Monday or Tuesday. ((Pm me with questions, ideas, ect ^_^ )) Well, nobody was online really, so the party isn't going to happen.

Rayne leaves the kitchen after lunch and yawning stretches as she walks down the hallway. A few kids ran past, laughing, the first one holding a toy and waving it about as they turn and run into the main room. One of the last kids didn't bother running through the large archway, but instead took the more direct route... through a wall. Rayne pauses momentarily, blinking in surprise, then shakes her head and walks into the room as well. Stepping over some toys on the floor, she frowns slightly, then silently makes her way over to the couch in the corner and plops down, curling up. Rayne picks up a cd player laying nearby and opens it, then nods and shuts the case again before hitting play. Sighing, she puts the music up loud enough to shut out the shouts and noises around her and tilts her head back, her eyes shutting as she relaxes. Adopting hour, as it were called, would be starting soon. This place rarely got many applicants, but it still vexed Rayne to watch it. the more harmless kids might get adopted, but she knew she didn't even have a right to hope. It was a waste of her time to even watch it, in her opinion.

Andrei walked into the home, stepping back as a pair of children ran past "Interesting place" he murmured, walking on "Wonder if there is an office to go to" Andrei paused, spotting a seemingly 16 year old girl sitting in the corner "Excuse me, is there an office I go to?" he asked, walking over to the girl "You know, for a tour of the place & an introduction to the orphans?"

Rayne heard a voice, older than the others, an adult, and tilting her head back opens her eyes, then frowns up at him. Ok, open house was starting early today apparently, either that or this man was just the type to be early to things. She was used to being asked questions, as for the past few years she'd perpetually been the oldest of the orphans in each new home, and therefore the one with answers... whatever. "Yea, you're early, but its right behind you, across the hall from this room. " She replies, leaning further back and pointing to a doorway across from the room that obviously marked it as the entrance to an office. Without even waiting for a reply from the man, she then straightened back up again, no longer practically turned upside down and turns her cd player back on, loud enough for even him to hear the angry, loud music. Rayne didn't even try to suck up to adopters any more.

"Thank you, miss" Andrei said "What's your name?" he asked "Just curious, is all" he added "I'm Andrei Zhdanov" he said, extending his hand to Rayne

Did he not care she was clearly telling him to leave her alone, or was he just oblivious? Rayne frowns again, turning off her headphones once more, then answers, briefly glaring up at him. "Rayne, and I'm sure you are." She replies in her sarcastic, biting tone. Did he find it fun, picking out the oldest one and getting their hopes up by talking to them, when obviously nothing would come of it? Haha, how funny.... Rayne wasn't going to go for it. She didn't take his hand, just shook her head and turned her attention back to her music, hoping he'd go away.

"Quite an attitude you have" Andrei commented, turning towards the office "I'll be seeing you later" he added, walking to the office "I think I've already found the one" he said to himself

"Yea, people love me for it." She replies in the same tone as she listens to him leave a moment later, though she didn't really think of his second comment, or hear the third. Rayne lets out a sigh and shuts her eyes once more as she turns up the music a bit, ignoring those around her.

10 minutes later, Andrei walked out of the office, the adoption officer leaving behind him, & Andrei nodded at Rayne. The two walked over to Rayne "Ms. Hammond" the adoption worker said "Mr. Zhdanov here wishes to adopt you" he continued "We need your consent before the papers can be finalized" the worker added

It didn't feel like much time had passed before she was addressed yet again. Sighing in annoyance, Rayne turns off the music player. The button melted slightly under her now hot touch, but Rayne didn't notice as she instead turned around to hostilely glare up at the two men after hearing their cruel joke. "What? Is this April Fools Day or some s**t? Dude, trust me, you don't want to adopt me. I'm not some freaking charity case from a Disney movie, and you'll just end up returning me, so just do us both a favor and bugger off." She replies in annoyance, then shakes her head and scowling gets up. The air around her was warmer than it should be, heat rolling off her skin. They were fools for teasing her like this. It was dangerous. Shoving past them, knowing the worker would feel the heat and know to back off, Rayne stalks out of the room and heads upstairs. Walking into her room, she slams the door, then flops onto the bed and sighing turns the cd player back on, or ties. The button was destroyed, though. Cursing, she throws the machine aside, then links her hands behind her head and instead glares up at the cieling. Her anger was running her again, she knew that, but she didn't really care.
