LoL, that's what I said. I had two separate appointments in December and January to get a Mirena and the first one was the day Jimmy got back from Iraq so I said screw it and went and got my manz instead, and the second one they wouldn't work out for me until a couple hours after my moving truck left port. They got a really snotty new receptionist. I haven't heard any good stories about the doctors in this area. If I can't find one I'll have to move back to Alabama when he ships out next and I really don't want to. stressed
I guess technically it will be a couple of years. It'll be right before Cian turns 2. emo

im thinking of mirena too. omg i got a funny story! i told my husband i wanted birth control. and he says no! he thinks its unhealthy to be on birth control.
me-i dont want to get pregnant again right away.
s-you wont.

You're going to find out as your baby gets older that he has "Go Go Gadget Fingers" and gets into everything even if you think he can't. LOL!!!
At least I like my new pediatrician, so that's good. He was nice, offered some non-medicinal treatments for Cian's chronic diaper rash and didn't give me a hard time about him not having pretty much any immunizations. I'm starting to think that it's not a bad idea to wait until they're a year to do their immunizations. He got FIVE shots yesterday and he didn't get the usual fever that goes along with it. He was completely fine as soon as I picked him up off of the table. My younger sister had a baaad reaction to one of her shots and so they make me antsy.

My tot got her 15 month immunization shots today.
Her old pediatrician used to have two nurses come in and give all four shots at once, the new place gives them one by one. I really miss the old pediatricians but since we moved they're 4 hours away. crying

They gave him his one at a time, but I'm okay with that. I'm really glad I found this guy because with my first son I got behind at 2 months too, because they just don't provide you with enough information on these stupid things. They don't give you any real statistics when they "teach" you about them and it's just WRONG. I was very subtly threatened to have him taken away from me because I wasn't immunizing him. It's not a law that you have to have your children immunized and they shouldn't terrorize parents over it. scream
Anyway, immunizations always get me on a rant. Maybe I should start a separate thread for them.

I actually asked my pediatrician if they still did small pox immunizations. I know they say it's completely defeated but I don't believe them. and we don't give our kids the shots for it anymore. All it takes is one undeveloped area of the world that still has the disease for it to come back. I just can't believe It's been killed off for good.
