So I'm trying to find a pair of purple Chuck Taylor Lo-Top Converse. I'm sure as hell not spending $45 on 'em. So I've been checking Ebay, which has much better prices for the same merchandise. So far, I've found rainbow converse, candy-cane Converse, and fuzzy zebra-striped converse, but no purple ones in my size! mad
Alright, so I'll get to the point.
If I can't find them in purple, I was planning to just buy white ones and dye them.
Of course, I would take the precautionary steps, like covering up the parts I don't want colored.
So my question is, has anyone ever done this? Is it a bad idea? How would it turn out?
Or, if you know any sites where I could get a pair, purple, size 6-8 US, let me know. (I'm not spending over $25.)

lol I've never hear of doing that, but, hey, if Sharpie can color soes then why not hair dye or something? xd
