GTC has been invited to contribute to a GCD get-together sort of event taking place the weekend of our shows -- it's hosted by the Gaia Community Sniper Guild and is in the vein of the Masquerade that the Specter's held a while back for those who were around when we participated in that... I think it'd be only polite if we all at least participated as individuals, but does the GTC want to host something?
I mean, we don't have to go all out. We could do a contest or something of some sort. We're doing a show which is pretty well known so we could do something that ties in with it.

It would be very awesome to go as individuals and I'm more than up for that, howeverrrr. I can suggest a few options that the GTC might like to think about.
1. Probably the most obvious suggestion -- go in character as someone from RHPS. The downside to this is that probably not everyone (myself included) is familiar with it enough to feel like they could pull it off.
2. Similar idea, but with some characters from past GTC performances. Pick some memorable ones and be them for the event. I think it would be pretty fun to see, for instance, Trekkie Monster telling Hanschen about the wonders of the internet. rofl
3. Do a fun scene from RHPS (or whatever). I heard that RHPS, when it plays in movie theaters, has some form of audience participation. Do a Towns version of that and have the additional interaction with people?

When I read this I thought of going in character for the HRPS as well but I really like ceribri's last idea about the towns I think that would be cool.

That way we'd have a better chance of getting characters we're familiar with.

The main issue we had last time we suggested character stuff is we couldn't really use GTC mules, as it's too much of a pain to dress them (and get the costumes together for them again) and not all of them still exist.
I'm wondering about that scene idea. Someone in the thread, I'm sure you saw, was asking about audience interaction -- I'm REALLY hesitant to suggest we allow it for this show, as the lag could KILL. But if we had a scene or two (probably like Time Warp/Transvestite), and were really prepared for the lag, we would probably be fine. We could even do it Friday night or early on Saturday and have it be promotion for our Halloween show.
But any time you do something in Towns for one of these things, you have to consider: how will you feel if no one shows up? wink That tends to happen to us a lot. People have a greater tendency to participate in thread things.

Hmmmm.
Thread-related activities: trivia contest, some kind of silly photo-edit competition... a scavenger hunt would be awesome but it might be rather time-consuming/difficult to make.
It could be interesting to have something similar to idea #2 I posted earlier, but instead of getting out assorted characters and dressing them up, just post a big list (or several small groups) of characters and see who could make up the best/craziest/OOC/most believable scene involving them (or some of them, if it's just one large list).
That way it would have a lot more interaction with everyone and not just GTC people running around. razz
