Dragons. Most people consider them to be myths, but they couldn't be more wrong. Dragons do exist, even if they don't realize it. There are only about two dozen dragons left in the world, and several don't even realize they are dragons... but they will. The draconic blood in their veins is beginning to stir, and soon, they will realize their heritage. And they must either cope or go insane, falling to their draconic instincts. And there are those who would use them, worship them as deities while using them to attempt to take over the world. And there are those who would slay them for simply being dragons. Will they succeed in making a normal life for themselves? Or will they fall prey to their own instincts, or worse...

Characters

Username: Zaydin
Name: Jack Hayes/Yasr (Draconic personality)
Age: 27
Gender: Male
Race: Black Dragon
Appearance: Human Form/Dragon Form
Bio: Jack Hayes has thought that, for the last 27 years, he's been a normal human being. However, he is soon to be proven wrong. Jack works at an IT firm, but has taken two weeks off after coming down with a bad fever and aches. Jack has always been skeptical towards the supernatural and fantasy in general, but soon, his attitude will change. Jack has a younger sister, whom visits him every so often, even more so now that he's had to take time off from work because of his sickness. Unlike her brother, she is a firm believer in the fantastic. Also unlike her brother, she has no draconic heritage, due to her being a half-sister.
Weapons/Powers: Claws, tail, and acidic saliva/poisonous breath in dragon form.
Other: Generally a laid back person.

Username: Halokat
Name: Celeste 'Rose' Hawkings
Age: 25
Gender: Female
Race: Golden Dragon
Appearance: In her human form, Rose has a supermodel figure. Her golden curls frame her face and make her always rosie cheeks shine even brighter. Hence the nickname Rose. Above her cheeks are her wide, big baby blue eyes. They make her look as if she's merely a teenager.
As for her dragon form, Rose's scales match the color of her hair. They golden color shines brilliantly in the sun. For a dragon, though, she is quite petite. She is probably only three fifths the size of a normal sized dragon. Like in her human form, Rose's eyes are a baby blue that stand out against the gold. They are big and wide set again. And her cheeks almost have a light pink tint.
Bio: Rose has always been very thin. No matter how much she ate, her high metabolism kept her lean and svelt. Because of her small body, she stood out in her family. No one gave her as hard of a time as her father. He would tell her that she was too skinny and wouldn't let her particpate in any family activities because she was fragile. But that isn't the only thing he made her sit out on. When ever her brothers went outside, she was made to stay in and learn how to cook and clean. Once her mother left, everything went downhill. Her hatred for men was harbored and fueled by her family. Once she was eighteen, she left for law school, and never looked back. Now she works at a feminist law firm, and they only take cases involving degradation against women.
Recently Rose has began to take an interest in guys, and it has been utterly confusing for her. She is looking at them as potential mates, and if they would have suitable offspring together. Most are a 'no', but that still doesn't make her worry any less. Right now, Rose believes that the slight fever and aching she has is making her delirious and act this way.
Weapons/Powers: In her dragon form, Rose has the ability to breathe fire, as well as cause damage with her claws, and by swing her tail around. But the main ability she has in camoflauge. All you can see are her eyes when she blends in with her surroundings.
Other: For right now, she is going delirious to her job through her 'sickness' because she doesn't have any vacation days, and only a week of sick days per year. And to her, this isn't something that she should miss work for. Also she believes in myths, she just doesn't like the hero of the fairytales only being the men.

Username: Hitokiri_Shingetsu
Name: Astrid Phoenix
Age: 26
Gender: Female
Race: Human
Appearance: "Nixy"
Bio: Astrid Phoenix. An outsider with a knack for killing things. It is said that she can make a weapon out of almost any object. And get herself in and out of the most dangerous situations. Born from a long line of bounty hunters and mercenaries, such things were in her blood. Most know her by her hunter name, "Nixy". Lately, though, she had been taking a short hiatus from the business of murder. Thinking about settling down and finding herself a boyfriend. That was until she got a mysterious phone call asking her to dispose of a prey most odd. But money was money. And love, charming as it was, wasn't going to pay the bills.
Weapons/Powers: Anything at her disposal.
Other: The smell of blood makes her sick, so she prefers to fight at a distance.

Name:
Nice (Pronounced like “Niece”) Russo
Age:
Twenty
Gender:
Female
Race:
Human
Appearance:
Nice
Bio:
Ever since childhood, Nice has always been fascinated by the mythical things, she was one who would rather play pretend about flying around in the air with dragons than cops and robbers. As soon as she began to learn to write, she would compose her own stories about fantastic worlds (though they were usually very basic). As she grew older, she kept on learning about mythology, and would go deeper into it, trying to learn about every aspect about it. Nice did have a social life, and it went on just fine, she went through practically every ‘normal’ part of a child and teenager’s life. But, all the time she spends on mythology is something secret that only those who have spent years around her know about.
As of recently, while still in college, her half brother has come down with a terrible cold or something, and as any sister would do, she will occasionally visit him to try and help him get through the illness.
Weapons/Powers:
N.A
Other:
Her half brother is Jack Hayes
And she can be a bit of a loud mouth at times; rambling is a bad habit for her.

Username: Houka_Kitsune
Name: Sapphire (Or fire)
Age: 22
Gender: Female
Race: Dragon
Appearance:Sapphire / Red Dragon
Bio: For most of her life, Sapphire lived normally and expected to just settle down and have a normal life once she got out of the Army, which she joined at the age of 18. Sent home due to an odd fever that seemed to be on and off, she is currently on an R&R from her job as an Intelligence Analyst and is hoping to be back in the field as soon as possible. She has a brother about the age of 16 who she writes letters to whenever she can and her family supports what she is doing whole heartedly, but are now worried because she has been acting more violent, which is unlike her normal calm demeanor.
Weapons/Powers: As a dragon, she can breath fire and her claws are a deadly asset as well. As a human, she usually carries around two Desert Eagles and enough ammo to put anyone to shame.

Jack Hayes lay in his bed, curled underneath his blanket. "God, what did I catch..." he murmured, eyes closed. "I've never felt this bad in my whole life" Jack muttered. "Gotta be something really bad to be this sick" he added. "Wonder when sis is getting here..."

Celeste 'Rose' Hawkings shifted in her sleep. Earlier, she had kicked off her blankets for the fever caused her to over heat. Currently Rose was in a dream that she wasn't able to escape. She saw herself running through the woods, from what she didn't know. She knew she couldn't run much longer, though. Her legs were becoming tired; feeling like jello. Rose slowed to a walk. She stopped at the entrance to a cave. There was light coming from inside. Creeping slowly into the cave, she spotted a large fire. She heard a snap of a twig under her feet. The fire went out. All of a sudden she felt something big breathing on her. Rose turned around to see brilliant blue eyes staring at her. She heard the creature growl, and saw it bare it's white teeth. It opens it's mouth to take a bite of her. When the teeth clamped shut, she was julted awake by fear.

Rose placed her hand on her forehead. She was burning up. 'Oh do I hate the flu.' She commented, grabbing the tylonal off of her night stand. She popped two in her mouth, took a swig of water, and walked to her shower. She looked at the digital clock on her bathroom wall: 5:56 AM. 'I still have two hours before work.' Rose shrugged and threw her clothes off. She reached into her shower, turning the water on, and turned the dial to cold.

Hopping off the empty bus from the bus stop, Nice was finally getting closer and closer to her brother's house. He said he had been feeling worse and worse, and the symptoms were like that of an extreme cold, not even the usual cold medicine could help. So, Nice had decided to try some old remedies she had looked up instead of the artificial stuff people usually used today. She had some things, like tea tree old, in her shoulder bag, and while they seemed even more foul tasting than usual medicine, she decided that nature could fix this up pretty quick.
Wearing a beige, three-quarter sleeve shirt, and her usual black, pleated skirt, Nice inched closer and closer to her half brother's home. Once she finally did get there, she knocked on the door, announcing her arrival, before checking the knob if it was locked. It wasn't. Reluctantly, she let herself in, the door creaking as it backed open and she took her first step in. "Jack?", she called out, it was still early morning and she didn't want to wake him if he was asleep. Besides, she had class at 8, and it was math, not her favorite subject at all.

"In my room, where else?" Jack called out, still curled up under his blankets. "God, I just want to get better...." he muttered to himself. "I hope you have something I can take" he added, calling out to Nice. "If not, I'm smacking you with your fairy tale books"
PostPosted: Sun Dec 13, 2009 9:32 pm

"Oh ha ha", Nice said with a little sarcasm as she headed towards Jack's room. Sure she did keep some of her books at his house, but that was only because her own house, which had a few party animal roommates, wasn't suited for safekeeping her books; at least she knew they were safe her.
Nice then entered the room to see Jack in a state that showed that even the smallest things, such as the cold, could bring a person down. She took a seat at the very edge of his bed, and pulled her bag over so that she could retrieve anything she had brought from it. "I've got some new stuff for you to try", she said, pulling out a little bottle,"It's supposed to make the cold end quicker", she explained. "Hold on one second though", she added, leaving the room temporarily. Nice had gone to get some water and a cup for the drink, it's smell was already unappealing, so maybe diluting it would help a little. Within half a minute, she came back and had a glad of water in her hand, she put 4 drops of the liquid into the water, and then held it out to Jack. "Take it", she said in her usual voice, it was almost like a sweet command.

"Great" Jack said, taking the cup, downing the contents quickly. "It's better than trying nothing" he added, blinking as he was exposed to the light. "Ugh, light's too bright" he muttered. "Never been this bright before"
PostPosted: Sun Dec 13, 2009 9:42 pm

She was silent for a moment, the sun was just barely starting to rise, even if it was around 6AM. Should she point that out to him? It was strange, and normally, he had never been this sensitive to the light before. "The sun isn't even fully up yet", Nice stated as she got up and tried to close the blinds, but they seemed to already be closed. It did seem rather dark in here, though she had never really thought too much of it since she had gotten up early this morning. 'You sure you know what you got?", she asked, referencing to his cold. Sure, sensitivity to light was normal, but when it was this sensitive, something had to be up.

"I have no idea what I have" Jack said, rubbing his eyes, blinking again, not realizing his formerly brown eyes had become a deep gold, with a pupil slit vertical like a cats. "Just really bright in here" he muttered, rubbing his forehead. "Any chance of closing the blinds more?"
PostPosted: Sun Dec 13, 2009 10:30 pm

"Don't think so", Nice said as she was becoming increasingly frustrated with the blinds, as they were already closed and she couldn't close them any further. Eventually she gave up and simply sat back on the edge of the bed. She decided to change the subject, while she had always been fascinated with the strange, when it occurred in her own family, it just because plain strange.
((Bleh. Crappy post, going to bed though; Night!))

"Damn" Jack said, rubbing his eyes. When he brought his hands away, they were back to normal, as if nothing had ever happened to them. "So, how has your classes been going?" he asked.

Rose stripped off her clothes and stepped into the cold shower. She sighed. The water felt good. Right now, her skin felt as is it were on fire. She wanted to rip it off. But she knew she couldn't literally take of her skin. Not to her knowledge, anyways. After about fifteen minutes of just standing in the shower, letting the water run down her body, she decided that she needed to get out. After scrubbing her body with her soap bar, shampooing her hair, and brushing her teeth, Rose stepped out of the shower grabbing for a towel. As she finished wrapping a towel around her body, she grabbed for a hand towel to remove some of the water from her hair. She was about to ring out the water, when she saw her caught sight of her hair in the mirror. Her hair was completely dry. Her head was putting of so much heat, that her hair was dried instantly. 'Well that's just odd.'

By now the clock on the wall said that it was 6:25. 'Another hour and a half.' Rose commented, rubbing her skin, still wanting to rip it off. Rose went to her closet, grabbing a frilly, pink belted, gold shirt. She grabbed some beige pants that had gold and pink accent pin stripes. There was a matching short sleeve, intentionally short, jacket, that she grabbed. She slipped on some gold high heels and was ready for work. But she still had an hour before work. So, Rose decided to stop buy a coffee shop. She ordered a iced mocha latte, and sat at a table by the window, looking out at the people passing by.

The morning sun had burred orange and red in the dawn. A sign of death to come... Her grandfather's wisdom echoed through the still air.
Whether or not she would be the bringer of that death was not a question. Rather a simple when and where. She stretched her arms over her head, groaning softly. Glancing over to her presumed target, she noticed that the blinds were closed. Well how nice of them to make it a challange.
The huntress did not grin or show any sign of happiness from the whole thing. Despite her reputation she did not enjoy killing.
"But money's money...," she mumbled the motto of her lineage to no one but herself.
A tree was not the most comfortable snipering position, but it would have to do. Noiselessly, she raised her weapon and fixed the crosshair on the faint shadow of his skull. It was not the clearest of shots, she knew. But it would have to do.
Astrid Phoenix cleared her mind of all thoughts, focused on the tast and the target.
"Bye-bye..." She squeezed the trigger.
