Yes, you read correctly. We are goign to be moving to a new guild. I'm going to answer a few questions, and will also answer your relevant questions posted in this thread.
The Gaian Chess Guild--The guild we'll be moving to.1: What do you mean we are moving to a new guild?Well, like it says. All of our current active members and crew will be moving to another guild soon.
2: Why are we moving to a new guild?The current guild owner, The Clammy Avenger, is not being cooperative with us. In order for this guild to survive, we need a strong guild captain, which we will be able to have in this new guild.
3: What will be different?The guild. Fewer subforums (they're not neccessary). Everything else will be the same, including members.
3.1: Is there a join fee? D:No. In fact, don't donate to the guild account; we don't need it.
4: I'm not sending another join request, I already sent one here. D:<You don't have to. I'm going to send guild invites out to all of the members of this guild. You just have to accept it, that is all. Make sure guild invites are turned on.
5: When will the move happen?Sometime this week, probably. Definitely within the next two. But not before this Saturday's game.
6: Should I quit this current guild?Not until the move is completed. I've got to send invites to everyone first. But after the move is done, yes. It's not going to be of much use.
7: What about people who come here after the move is completed, or miss the move?I'm going to make several threads, put them all on announcement status, and have them all pertain to redirection to the new guild.
