June smirked, shoving the newbie out into the apartment, "He wants to join."

Duriono, who was in the middle of trying to glue together a couple of hamsters to a toaster, was spurred into leaving his project, interested in the situation. "Eh?" He raised a brow, moving his hands away from Key's hamsters. "A newbie? We haven't had one of those in..." His eyes rose to the top of his skull. "Half a year?" The man in the black hat approached the man, slogging around in his usual, hunched over stupor of a walk. "Well? What's his name? Can he speak? Is he even among the living?"

~*Scotty-Boy*~ Scotty cautiously looked around as he was asked all the basic questions. He stood up a little more straight and said "Indeed I do speak. I am Scott Baker, but you can call me Scotty. I am among the long living, as I am a half elf." Scotty looked at the man who held glue and hamsters with a toaster on the table, with more wonder than fear.(format okay?)

"Scotty!" The Gunmetal Mercenary straightened his own stature out, as if he were a bit embarrassed by the fact that he always walked in such a way. Giving himself a few moments to cup his hands together, only to see that one of the hamsters had been hot-glued to the palm of his right. "I apologize for... well, catching me like this. You know how boring it can be when you've got a day off." He shrugged, rolling his eyes at the same time as he nonchalantly ripped the hamster from the palm of his hand, choosing to remove his own flesh rather than the hamsters and extended it to Scotty. "But, if you're willing to look past all the..." He roamed around in his head for the right word, but gave up and went for something simple. He never actually did go to school. "Weirdity, I assure you that the Gunmetal Mercs are quite the nice group of people!"
(Format's fine, broski. I'm never too.. Uh... word... Well, I'm not stingy about those. A lot of people don't really have them.)

"Duri, your memory isn't serving you quite well." June crossed her arms and looked over at the toaster. That. Poor. Toaster. "Anyhow, could you show him around? I need to bring the toaster to a therapist."

~*Scotty-Boy*~ The man in front of him held his hand out, fleshy skin starting to show signs of bleeding. Noticing paper towels at the other end, Scotty introduced himself with his power of telepathy and wrapped the mans hand with a few of them before shaking it. "Nice to meet you. I didn't catch your name." As Scotty reached for the mans hand, he returned the paper towels to where they were.

"Well, I'm Duriono lastnamesomethingdemonic, but you can just call me Duri." Duriono said with a positive demeanor. "Nice magic trick, you'll definitely fit right in." He ripped the makeshift bandages off of his hand and tossed the bloodied papers into the trash while escorting Scotty into the living room. As he did this he looked back at June and said "Hey, that toaster knew what it was getting into! It torched my waffles the other day, and I @#$#$%$ love my waffles." In the living room were a rather, not so lively group of people. But it was a group of people nonetheless! "Hey, guys! Juney's grabbed us a newbie!" The group only slightly roused themselves, with a man with sunglasses only raising his neck slightly and saying. "Is it a chick?" Despite Scotty already being in the room. "Uh.. no, he's right here, Bishop." He said flatly, pointing at Scotty as if his fingers were neon signs. "Excuse him," A blonde in the room raised a hand. "I'm Mary, generally the hand-to-hand specialist and sniper for the group. I like sweets, my headphones." She gestured towards the pair she was wearing on her head. "And not having to deal with the newbies, and this is Key." She motioned towards a young Dark Elf sitting on the coffee table in front of her, he looked at Scotty over his shoulder and away from his notepad. "Hi, nice to meet you." He then motioned off to the man who could have been mistaken for a shaved bear, Brig. "Brig." He simply said. "I like to punch things. And that's Bishop. He's an a*****e." He pointed at the man with the shades. "Damn straight." Bishop sneered.
Duri dug his hand under his hat and sighed, melancholic. "Well, they're usually a bit cheerier than this. And this isn't even all of them. We're missing Aleta and Riften."
(( Since we're in the middle of getting some things updated for the newbies, I'll fill you in on everything tomorrow. 'Cause it's late here. The stuff that's up right now, aside from the ghouls and psychopaths threads is generally ignorable. I'll point out some more important threads in a bit.))

~*Scotty-Boy*~ Scotty, a little unnerved by Brig, nodded and smiled and said hello to everyone who greeted him. Even to the man named Bishop. Scotty had only guessed that he was blind, due to the sunglasses he wore, but didn't want to assume. At the end of all of this, he said, "It is nice to meet all of you." Not sure of what else to say, Scotty's mind started to drift to a toaster popping bread with messages to a therapist.

A hamster just then ran out from under Duri's hat, his skin stuck to it's fur and scampered down the arm of his coat. "Yick." He stuck his tongue out at it and smacked it off. No animals were abused in the making of this post, by the way. "Is that my hamster?" Key asked. "Yeah." Duri responded. "Oh, okay." Key went back to his notepad, leaving Duri to guide Scotty to the rest of the apartment. "We're almost done." And in quick succession, he motioned towards a bunch of rooms off to the side of a hallway. "Mary's, Bishops, Key's, Riften's, Brig's, Armory, closet, bathroom number one, bathroom number two, My room, June's room." For his and June's room, he just pointed to two separate sides of a bed. "Now you're ready to head out into the field!" He turned around at the end of the hallway. "Do you like getting shot at or getting cut up?"

~*Scotty-Boy*~ As Scotty kept up with Duri, he was fast to respond to his question about the field work. "As long as I can see the shooter, I can normally stop the bullet, and no one has been able to hit me with handheld weapon before." As being a half elf, Scotty has no physical elven features, but he has the speed, strength, and reflexes. His sight, hearing, smell and other senses are only a little heightened, but not much. "Throw whatever you want at me." Scotty said with determination.

Just as Scotty finished speaking, a giant axe flew at the wall between he and Duri. "If you insist." June walked through him and yanked the axe from the wall.

"Alright, confidence is good. Confidence is great! When you're locked in the heat of battle with Crimson and his psycho drunk prostitute at the bottom of the ninth with three strikes you're gonna need confidence!" Duriono barked, yapping his mouth off like some baseball coach who was never actually a good baseball player. Just then, June's axe found itself wedged in the wall. Duri's nose gone with it. He plucked it from the wall and held it to his nose. "And speaking of the Crimsons-they're a bandit group- we've got a mission to go punch a bunch of them in the face! Well, not actually in the face with our fists, but rather with our bullets and blades!" He raised up a sheet of paper, with the stamp of the Guild. Which was the group that basically called the shots on the whole Mercing business. "Before I said that I was off today? I lied, that was just to keep you on your toes! Actually I didn't lie, the narrator just plain wanted us to go on a mission because a better way to get to know eachother is through action and violence! What's your handgun of choice, I've got all sorts, semi-automatics, automatics, bolt action pistols, revolvers, magnums, brain 'sploders, Kira the mechanic's horrible, horrible mistakes that I bought out of the discount bin- Damn we're gonna have a great time!" He grinned. "Brig, Bishop! Load up! We've got a mission!" He shouted at the top of his lungs. "To the garage, to the garage, to the garage with you lazy asses!" "June, Scotty you're comin' obviously! Let's @#$#in' roll!"
--- (I'll run through picking missions with you tomorrow, for now just post and I'll set up the mission.) Job name: Six shooters (Crimson) Client: Six Shootin' Sam Location: South Ridge Slots: unlimited Details: You've got a bunch of yer city folk's Crimsoneers down 'ere 'causin' a ruckus in South Ridge over 'ere! They've taken over the town and put in place a new sheriff! Come down 'ere and cause a ruckus, would ya?

~*Scotty-Boy*~ Scotty leaned back as the axe started its flight to Duri and himself, dodging it. Curious to the fact that Duri showed no pain after the axe ripped off his nose, Scotty listened as the leader started to talk and bark orders and ask questions. "I have honestly never had to use a gun before. If you had something like, maybe a metal rod that can open and close for easy storage and mobility, that would be great." Scotty found it easier to use his telepathy and a long stick, or branch if that was around, to fight his way. If he could get a lightweight yet sturdy rod that he could open and close, his life would be so much easier. Since Scotty could never curve his own bullets, he never took an interest into weaponry that had to do with black powder. He followed Duri and June to the garage, bewildered to see what it could hold.

June dragged the axe behind her, pretending it was heavier than it was. "I'm not gonna do anything. Newbie can show us what he can do, yes?" She straightened, hopping and moving ahead of the group and walking backwards, "If he doesn't die can I use him for target practice?"

~*Scotty-Boy*~ Scotty eyes grew a little as the thought of completing this task alone would be, so he asked to answer his mind. "You want me to go alone?" He didn't know what to expect to a gang trying to take over a town, but he knew he would need one more item if he gets his metal staff. June asking Duri to use himself as target practice made Scotty laugh a little.
