He’s a pessimist, and while he doesn’t try to be too negative to others, he just can’t seem to help it. While he’s not necessarily sad all the time, he definitely does feel empty or disillusioned quite a lot. He’s a bit lonely, and tends to gravitate towards people while also pushing them away due to a sort of self-consciousness. His self-esteem is questionable, and while he’s actually quite a good writer, often criticizes his own work, not seeing much worth in it. He wants to be able to make something of himself, and is terrified by the thought of aging and dying without anybody remembering him. He’s very intelligent academically, and is quite clever when it comes to coming up with ideas. He’s actually a pretty pleasant guy to talk to once you get past his generally pessimistic nature. He enjoys speaking with people, and is generally kind of escapist as far as life goes, wanting to focus on the current, the now—not thinking about the future. The future, honestly, scares him. He’s polite when addressing other people, and tends to be very careful when talking to others, so not to upset them—unless he’s doing anything having to do with being a reporter for the press, in which case he focuses on getting the cold, hard truth. He’s got a good work ethic and does well in his job—he isn’t one to shirk responsibilities, and likes getting assignments done as soon as possible, since being behind on his work or off his own tailored schedule tends to stress him out. While he does make an effort to be pretty structured, he can loosen up every once in a while—and he does like having fun. He just wants to be happy and feel satisfied and not lonely—he’s just not very good at showing it. ▌ BIOGRAPHY × 〉 Avery came from a fairly normal household. In general, he was always a bit distant from his parents, often spending most of his days in the library. From a strangely young age, he’d always felt somewhat empty inside—unable to really find anything that piqued his interest other than reading. However, there eventually came the time that he began reading stories about supernatural creatures—slowly learning about them one by one. He was both horrified and fascinated when he discovered that these creatures were very real. In fact, once he’d graduated college with a degree in English, he discovered that the Theater had an opening in their press crew. Avery’s entire life had been remarkably average—and that fact frightened him. He didn’t want to fade away unnoticed like so many others had been—even at such a young age, the thought of growing old and dying with nobody to remember him by haunted him. He figured that working with the Theater would be a good starting point—working with a well-known newsletter, then becoming a novelist on the side—that could work…right? He just wanted to be acknowledged—he wanted to be remembered. He applied for the job, getting it quite soon after and went ahead to join the Theater’s press team. Still feeling disillusioned with himself and his life, he started his new job, sincerely hoping that it would not only make him happier with himself and his life, but also bring him the sort of notoriety that would maybe help him overcome his fears. 「COMBAT INFORMATION 」 ██████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████ . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . ▌ FIGHTING STYLE × 〉 No actual fighting training. Avery's not exactly the most physically fit guy, and would probably not fare too well trying to defend himself from attack. The most he could really do would be to run away. ▌ WEAPON × 〉 N/A ▌ STRENGTHS × 〉 +He’s very intelligent, and because of this, is decent at strategizing, even if he can’t put his own plans into effect. +Generally, he’s quite good with words—whether motivating others or doing anything else he needs to speak for, despite his mostly gloomy nature, he’s at least good at firing other people up. +He is able to read situations well, and generally is able to tell the best course of action when reacting to them. ▌ WEAKNESSES × 〉 -Avery’s no more than a normal human—and not even a very physically fit one, at that. He’s pretty wimpy, physically. -He’s got no fighting training whatsoever—he’s got no idea how to defend himself in combat. -Extremely pessimistic, Avery often only sees the bad side of things and ignores the silver linings. 「MISC INFORMATION 」 ██████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████ . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . ▌ THEME SONG × 〉 Avery`s Theme - Apathy ▌ INSPIRATIONS × 〉 An old character being revamped kind of??? ▌ ALLIES × 〉 Theater Press ▌ ENEMIES × 〉 N/A ▌ CRUSH × 〉 N/A ▌ EXTRA / NOTES × 〉 -He refuses to get his hair cut for the simple reason that he’s afraid of barbers—this fear is something stemming from his childhood that he’s not really inclined to discuss. -He carries several notebooks with him wherever he goes. Some of them are for work, and some of them are for his own independent writing—he seems pretty set on that dream of becoming a novelist someday. -He really doesn’t mind people messing with his hair—in fact, he secretly enjoys people playing with his hair, so long as they don’t damage it. He really doesn’t care what style his hair is in—somebody could tie it into pigtails, braids, whatever—he wouldn’t really mind either way.

He’s sensible, and tends to be pretty focused on his work when he has specific tasks to complete. He’s good at staying focused on tasks generally, but often gets distracted by his emotions. He’s got a bit of a short temper, and there are a few certain things that will set him off way easier than others in that regard. Most of the time, though, he managed to stay calm, if not a bit rough and blunt with his language. He becomes very protective of people that he feels he needs to defend, and if he sees something happening that violates his own code of morals, he’ll do what he can to stop it. Generally, he’ll call people out if he sees them doing something bad—he doesn’t tend to give too much care about what other people think of him, and brushes off people who think ill of him, usually in a somewhat gruff manner—unless they make him mad, in which case he’ll jump to fight with them. While he tries to put up a front of not caring too much when people are rude to him, he actually finds it both surprising and very nice when people are kind to him—he’s become a bit closed off emotionally as of recent and because of this, isn’t entirely sure how to react to people being kind to him genuinely—often reacting to it with awkward muted thanks or other similarly flustered reactions. Although he’s definitely rough on the outside, he’s got a heart of gold on the inside—even though he’s given plenty of people good reason to hate him. He’s got a serious grudge against horrors, and treats them as less than humans, due to the fact that his wife and daughter were killed by a horror. It would be pretty difficult to get him to change his mind on that. As far as humans go, he’ll go far to protect them and their interests—and although it’s clear that he finds the Director to be a bit sketchy, he continues his job without much outward complaint simply because it furthers his own personal agenda. ▌ BIOGRAPHY × 〉 Harrison lived out a pretty normal childhood—he grew up in a house in London with his two parents, going to school and getting slightly above average marks. Nothing really of note happened in his life up until he set off for the United States—with the intent of going to medical school. He went to medical school and did well—even meeting the woman who would later become his wife. The two of them grew close during the time of their studies, eventually dating—and after they’d both graduated, they got engaged and were married. Harrison was 26 years old—and later that year, his wife, Imogen, found out that she was pregnant. Imogen had a daughter, who they named Emma, and the family was happy as could be. They were very close, and Harrison and Imogen were both very successful at their jobs. Harrison was sure that nothing could ruin his happiness now—and things stayed like that for a few years, up until when Harrison was 29 years old. That’s when everything started to go downhill. One night, as the family was driving down a secluded, rural road on their way back from a vacation, their car suddenly mysteriously spun out on the road, even though the path had been totally smooth and driving had been going as normal. What they didn’t know was that this was actually the work of a horror that was planning to prey on them. Once the car had come to a stop and they’d checked to make sure that all three of them were alright, Harrison got out of the car in order to try to figure out what had happened. It was at that moment that he was literally bludgeoned away into the trees near the side of the road by whatever had stopped them—he went flying into the nearby forest, his right leg slamming right into a tree as he flew by—breaking his leg. Helpless to actually get up and run back, all he could do was begin dragging himself back along the ground as he heard the screaming start—and then abruptly stop. Panicking beyond all belief, he pulled himself under some thorny brush, hiding—and managed to escape discovery. He didn’t see what had actually attacked them—only that it was big. He saw it’s body silhouetted against the full moon—but was unable to identify what sort of monster this was. Once it was gone, he dragged himself back over to the car—only to find his wife and daughter, both brutally killed, parts of their bodies outright missing, apparently having been eaten. He was in such shock and despair that he couldn’t even bring himself to call 911 until the dawn broke. Once he’d been brought to the hospital, he fell into a severe depression over what had happened—he felt like if he’d been stronger, he could have saved Imogen and Emma, somehow. Once he’d recovered, he decided that he no longer wanted to be a doctor—he wanted to save people, but felt that he could save them much better if he prevented the injuries in the first place. He worked to join up with the police force—working with them for a short while and learning that there had actually been other incidents like this—but all of them, including the one concerning his own family, had been covered up to prevent mass panic. Against the wishes of his superiors, consumed with a desire for revenge against whatever had killed his wife and daughter, Harrison began investigating these incidents personally—and eventually was fired from the force for it. But that didn’t quell his want for revenge—he wanted to figure out how to get close to horrors—study them, figure out which one was the one who’d killed Imogen and Emma—and then take his revenge. It was a few months later that he learned about the Theater—there were plenty of horrors there. In fact, it might even have been his best chance to find the horror he was looking for in particular. Seeing that they needed people on security detail, he immediately applied for the job—rejoicing upon getting it. From what he tells people, he’s simply there because he wants to protect others—and while that might have been true, he also won’t soon forget his grudge, or the vengeance that he still wants to exact, somehow… 「COMBAT INFORMATION 」 ██████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████ . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . ▌ FIGHTING STYLE × 〉 Harrison’s style of fighting tends to differ depending upon the situation. Part of his style of fighting involves hand to hand—and while he was officially taught hand to hand while on the police force, he was never one to pay much mind to his martial arts training. His hand to hand tends to focus on punches and other arm-based strikes. His personal style is a bit sloppy, but also unpredictable—which either helps him or not, depending on his luck. When he actually makes use of his weapons, he uses them mostly to threaten—but will be quicker to use the stun gun on someone than his actual handgun. If he does need to shoot someone, if they’re a person, he won’t aim for anywhere lethal—generally going for somewhere that will down the person but not kill them. However, when it comes to horrors, he won’t hold back—knowing full well that he’s nowhere near as powerful as them. If he ever needed to defend himself or others from a horror for whatever reason, he wouldn’t hesitate to fire on their vital points. Generally, he knows that fighting horrors is probably one of the stupidest ideas available—he tends to avoid it if possible, but also won’t hesitate to defend a fellow human being attacked—even if it came down to trying to punch a horror in the face. Which is probably the worst idea imaginable. ▌ WEAPON × 〉 -Handgun -Stun gun -Pocket knife ▌ STRENGTHS × 〉 +Professionally trained to fight during his time in the police force +Physically fit and athletic by human standards +Good at problem solving, and can be pretty clever when he really tries, despite seeming a bit rough and simple at times ▌ WEAKNESSES × 〉 -Tended to ignore a lot of his hand-to-hand training during his time in the police force -He’s only a human—clearly not nearly as powerful in a fight as anything like a horror -Haunted by his past—becomes emotionally distraught easily in reaction to certain triggers, which tends to negatively affect his actions and capabilities 「MISC INFORMATION 」 ██████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████ . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . ▌ THEME SONG × 〉 Harrison`s Theme - D4 ▌ INSPIRATIONS × 〉 A very old character I'm revamping, Wolf Among Us, Dark Dreams Don't Die-- ▌ ALLIES × 〉 Theater Security ▌ ENEMIES × 〉 Horrors in general ▌ CRUSH × 〉 N/A ▌ EXTRA / NOTES × 〉 -He used to drink and smoke to deal with his stress--however, his wife and daughter helped him to change his ways by getting him hooked on using bubble gum as is stress reliever, instead--and he's never given up on it. He's got favorite flavors and everything. Some of these favorite flavors include, cinnamon, cherry, and strawberry. -He doesn't know how to swim. -He’s actually a pretty good cook. After his wife was murdered, he had to learn to cook for himself—and using some of the recipe books she left behind, he eventually managed to teach himself to cook decently. -His ankle on his right leg still acts up sometimes--it's weaker than his left ankle.

She’s positive whenever she can be, knowing that she’ll just depress herself if she ends up getting negative. She’s confident in herself and her abilities, but not so much that she doesn’t know when to quit. She feels a good amount of apprehension in terms of when thinking about horrors. She doesn’t overstep her bounds—she knows her own limits. However, if there is somebody in danger, she’ll always want to leap to their rescue. Whether she does or not, really, depends on the enemy—however, if it’s somebody she really cares about, she’ll leap to their defense no matter what. There’s generally an air of energy about her—she doesn’t seem to get tired easily. She’s very serious about herself and who she is—and is also firmly a feminist. She likes making friends, especially with girls, since she finds them much easier to talk to. She loves sports and being active, and is even now still doing what she can to stay active—she doesn’t want to get out of shape, after all. She trains often, wanting to make sure that she does her job well—after all, it was pretty much a miracle that she got this job, in the first place. When scared, she tends to freeze up a bit, but is aware that she needs to learn to overcome her fears. Actually overcoming them…that’s a bit harder than just thinking about it, although she is genuinely working on it. She doesn’t get sad easily, and tends to try to look on the bright side of things—but will adopt a general sense of sensibility for serious topics. She wants to stay happy and confident, but not to the point where she might rush into something dangerous. She just wants to do well for herself and her family—and really hopes that she can make them proud. ▌ BIOGRAPHY × 〉 Riley’s story starts in a town in northern California. She grew up a not very average household—her father, a security guard, ended up having her take self-defense classes for most of her life. Additionally, she also grew up loving sports—and because of this, grew up quite physically fit. She was pretty average other than her physical prowess, though, living out a normal life—for a while. Eventually, it suddenly came to the moment that her father got a job transfer—as fate would have it, he was being transferred to a job at the Theater. Riley and her family ended up having to move to the city where the Theater was located, and her father began working there was a guard, working up a good reputation. He was good at his job, and Riley always looked up to him. However, it eventually came to a single fateful day—it was never really clear to Riley what had actually happened, but her father was, while on the job, killed by a horror. Her mother, who was relatively sickly, couldn’t work healthily, and her brother was still too young to work—but Riley knew they needed to make income somehow. So, without her mother realizing, she dropped out of school. And then, she demanded to take on the job that her father had once had in the Theater. At first, her mother outright refused—but soon enough, it seemed that they didn’t really have a choice. Riley’s mother applied for Riley to start working there, still awfully worried about it—Riley got the job mostly just because of how good of a guard her father had been. She came in unknowingly riding on his coattails. She started up on his job partially unaware of how dangerous it would be—and now, she’s probably one of the newest guards on the force. She’s aware of the horrors’ existence, of course—but she hadn’t expected them to be quite so unnerving up close. However, her resolve wasn’t shaken—she had to be able to support her family, and she had to live up to however good of a guard her father had once been. Those were her goals—and she refused to give up until she reached them. 「COMBAT INFORMATION 」 ██████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████ . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . ▌ FIGHTING STYLE × 〉 Riley’s fighting style tends to revolve around using both her bat and her quick movements to get the upper hand. Her bat serves as her main weapon, which she uses in bashing attacks against the enemy—while the bat itself looks wooden, it’s actually just painted to look like that. It’s actually made of metal. She’s additionally armed with a stun gun that she can use to defend herself, too. When fighting, she tends to go about it with a hit-and-run sort of tactic—never keeping herself close enough for the enemy to attack for too long. Generally, she’s focused much more on speed than power—although she’s pretty strong in her own right, her own physical strength could never stand up to any kind of horror or very muscular adult. ▌ WEAPON × 〉 -Metal baseball bat -Stun gun ▌ STRENGTHS × 〉 +Riley is very swift and agile—she’s pretty hard to catch during battle +Riley’s very athletic, even more than the average athlete of her age—she’s done several sports before, as well as countless self defense classes—she’s definitely in shape and ready to fight +Generally, Riley’s always been very lucky throughout her life—even when the odds are against her, luck will generally be on her side, which, while it won’t win her any fights, it’ll generally keep her from dying, at the very least ▌ WEAKNESSES × 〉 -Riley’s only human—she’s got weaknesses just like any other human would, athletic or not. -Her pigtails tend to get in the way during fighting. Despite the fact that she knows this, she refuses to get rid of them. She likes her pigtails. -She doesn’t know how to work an actual gun—which is why she’s limited to just a stun gun and her own metal baseball bat, as far as weaponry goes 「MISC INFORMATION 」 ██████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████ . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . ▌ THEME SONG × 〉 Riley`s Theme - Skyscraper High ▌ INSPIRATIONS × 〉 corpse's hatred of penguins has come back to haunt him. ▌ ALLIES × 〉 Theater Security ▌ ENEMIES × 〉 N/A ▌ CRUSH × 〉 N/A ▌ EXTRA / NOTES × 〉 -She was the pinch-hitter on her baseball team back in her old hometown in California. -One of her dreams is to someday hold a baby penguin. -She always wears her socks inside-out—she finds them to be itchy and uncomfortable along the seams if she wears them right-side-out.
