She has low self esteem and an inferiority complex. She can't handle a lot of stress and doesn't want to be disliked by anyone. On the outside she is weak-willed person and lacks confidence. She tends to be shy towards strangers, but opens up more once you get to know her. Deep down though, she has an iron heart will and never lies down no matter what.

She is still a bit of an elusive person, but is able to face people, even if she is still a quiet person for the most part. She isn't as much shy now, as a loner. She has more will power and is finally able to believe in herself. After her parents and Sensei died almost simultaneously she was crushed, but she recovered and became a stronger person.

-Because of intense training and savant abilities, the portion of Laiu's brain which once allowed her to see, has been reconfigured to sense chakra. She can use this to "see" perfectly, filling the air with a thin layer of her own chakra and interpreting the dips in it to perceive shape. Her other senses have also been somewhat amplified, but her sense of Chakra has become dominant. She can even redirect the sharingan part of her brain when she has it active, in order to give her other senses sharingan-like abilities. To fully utilize this sense, consumes chakra, so outside of battle Laiu behaves much like a helpless blind girl.

Katon/Raiton: Birth of the Phoenix King Laiu Fires a Phoenix of fire coated with lighting, so it appears to be a pure Raiton technique. his Phoenix has it's own consciousness even if it isn't that intelligent, and will follow the opponent. This is also Laiu's most powerful Katon technique. A-ranked.
Static Rider Laiu creates a layer of raiton ontop of her Fuuma shuriken that enables her to ride it when combined with Sharingan controlled Fuuma shuriken technique. This layer not only keeps her from spinning, but forces all the wind that would have went upwards to go down (the layer is a bit larger than the shuriken itself), enabling the shuriken to go faster. C-ranked.
Lightning Release: Lightning Redirection (Raiton: Raikou Ridairekushon) "If you let the energy in your own body flow, the lightning will follow it. You must create a pathway from your fingertips up your arm to the shoulder, then down into the stomach... From your stomach you direct it up again and out the other arm. The stomach detour is critical, you must not let the lightning pass through your heart, or the damage could be deadly." Laiu is also able to attract lightning to her body in order to use this technique. This attraction is the only part of the technique which actually uses chakra. (and yes Iroh could do the whole attraction thing. This happened the first time the technique was shown).B-ranked.
Lightning Release: Lightning Strike (Raiton: Raidageki) - the user throws a kunai at the enemy, then calls lightning to strike him down. Usually this is combined with his Ash cloud technique. B ranked, Offensive, All ranges
Raiton: The Voice of Raijuu a technique which creates a continuous Roar of thunder, blocking out all other noises. This techniques lasts 10-20 minutes. D-ranked.

This Jutsu is performed by the Right Eye. It is a space-warp technique which pulls the target through the Negative Dimension, Flipping them. Being flipped through another dimension can cuase things to become reversed, and the negative dimension is a powerful place, also used in Tsukuyomi. Anyone/thing effected by this technique will have their Colors inverted as well as their personality. So, an evil person would become good and brave person would become a coward. To activate the technique, Laiu fires a beam of White, black-fletched energy from her right eye to perform this technique. A person is connected by every part of them, so Laiu could perform this technique on them, simply by obtaining one of their hairs. This technique is very versatile and can effect a part or the whole. The only way to reverse the technique, is for Laiu to perform it again. Alternatively, this can be used to reverse physical properties. Some things may be reversed in multiple ways, for example lightning may be reversed to be steam (fire's opposite on the elemental chart) or positvely charged lightning. It may even do more "reverse" things, like changing something's direction. S Ranked

This is the Mangekyou sharingan technique which involves both eyes. Laiu shuts off the 5 forces, Gravity, Electromangetic, Strong Nuclear,Spiritual and Weak Nuclear and over a designated area. Each of these steps take two seconds. When Gravity is negated the effected area will have difficulty moving, When Electromangnetic is shutdown the body loses the ability to think or function. When The strong nuclear Force is deactivated the weak nuclear force rips apart the body to subatomic particles and then to nothing. When the spiritual force seises to exist, the soul and chakra will suffer the same fate. Once the Weak Nuclear force is deactivated the combo is complete and the laws of Physics completely fall apart, resulting in that person being completely erased from existence. Any memories that people had of that person would also be erased.

History
When Laiu was six months old, There was an attack on the Uchiha clan by the Senju. It was a splinter terrorist branch of the Senju clan that had gone without Hashirama's consent. Their exact goals are unknown, but they launched a desperate attack was against the Uchiha, the shinobi who had slain their comrades on missions and who cost their clan much economical loss. There were too few of this splinter group to do any real damage to the Uchiha clan, but a few Uchiha were killed. Laiu would had been in the grasp of one of the attackers, still a suckling infant. The Senju hesitated a moment, not wanting to kill a babe, and that was his undoing as he suddenly had his head separated from his neck by a sneak-assailant. The Senju dropped Laiu headfirst and she hit the back of her head on the hard floor below... this is when Laiu's life first went to Hell. Laiu has been blind for 12 years. The medics have checked her eyes and she has higher than 20/20 vision (perfect for an Uchiha). The problem lies within her brain. Her visual cortex was damaged when she was dropped as an infant. As an Uchiha, this meant she was now seen as worthless. Even though everyone was nice to her she knew they really saw as an inferior. Because of this she has an inferiority complex and low self-esteem. She was babied by most of the Uchiha clan, but her father would have nothing of it. It was his tough love that helped Laiu to grow and become a Shinobi, not up to Uchiha standards, but farther than anyone else had ever hoped for. Later when her Sharingan activated it was seen as a joke... a useless Kekki Genkai for a blind person. Laiu sometimes doesn't notice at first when it activates, and is ashamed and embarrassed by the eyes that others prize so highly.
***UPDATE***
Laiu was too young in the days before konoha to care about the uchiha and the senju clan's differences. As war broke out everyone around her turned against each other. Her parents were never found after the war, and assumed dead. It is this that has left a hate for war inside of Laiu.

Thor's Hammer- This colossal hammer is the sign of Laiu's contract with Thor. It can be summoned from a storm cloud. A bolt of lightning will strike down and it will form out of it in the wielder's hand. The head has a diameter of 6 feet and is 12 feet long. The handle is 4.5 feet long and has a diameter of 4 inches. It has the ability to change it's weight based on the chakra Laiu directs into it. It can go anywhere from normal/50 to normal x 50. It also constantly produces a B-ranked Raiton current. The Raiton current comes from Thor and doesn't use any of Laiu's chakra.
