So, a few months ago, I heard news that the FMA movie is coming out on October 3rd. Is it going to the theatres? My brother and I discussed it, and he said no. It's because he thinks that not many people will watch it because you need to watch the whole series, so they will not make alot of money on it. I kinda agree with him. But does anyone know for sure if it's coming to theatres?

Hrm...
There's no news on it for sure, but I did see an ad on an anime website from Funimation saying that they were bringing more anime to theaters. o;

I think they're waiting to see how the DVD does. If it does well, BOOM! COS in thearters. If not... then we start picketing in front of FUNimation.

well, i totally want it to! but you're probably right. they wouldn't make a lot of money. but they might. people might watch it because they have only heard of FmA or it might just look good. they shouldn't, though, unless they either watched the series or they know about what happens.

They did an article on CoS in anime insider this month, and they acually had the nerve to say that the movie could be understood without watching the show!
P.S. Funimation already said it's coming out on October 3rd. Maybe [AS] will air it in September?

Yeah, I heard Funimation saying they would put like DBZ and some other stuff in theatres, but I doubt this movie will be in theatres, because even the Inuyasha movies, in all their popularity weren't even in theatres...

The postcard ad I have says it will be out in theatres and on DVD at the same time on September 26. It will only be select theatres cause the demand factor. Also, the 13 and final DVD for the series will be out on that day as well.
