Hello! So good to be back here again! I really haven't had time to log in.. With school work, exams .. and all those crappy things like that... Well, it's good to be here! I don't think anyone will recognize me though, I've changed my user quite a few times.. the one I've registered with being ' + H o k u t o + '... Does it bring back any memories? Anyone? Well anyways... Do you think You know any 'twins' of Grave? I mean those other characters who are similar to Grave in any way. XD For starters, Vincent Valentine from Final Fantasy 7. [image below] Not very alike in facial appearances... But I think their clothes have a pretty similar mood to them. Both dark, and not cute XD. They share quite a significant amount of similarities in story-wise. Not to mention they both have big, fat, not to mention cool, guns to shoot people with! [I'm joking, you know that XD.] They were both scientifically altered. Although Vincent's alteration was never done willingly. And it both happened when they were working for a MASSIVE company. Brandon, working for Millenion, while Vincent working for ShinRa Co. . They are both basically invincible. No physical or mental harm will cause death upon them. They simply CANNOT die. [All thanks to the evil science] They do not age. Their scientific alteration, stopping them from aging. Part of the reason why they cannot die. And I believe they've stopped aging around the same age as well! Brandon stopping at 28, while Vincent stopping at 27. Their facial appearances have slightly changed from the alteration. Brandon's hair turning from black to pale grayish tone, and Vincent's eyes turning from light brown to blood-red. They were put away to sleep for quite a long while also. Grave was asleep for 13 years untill Dr. T turned to Grave for rescue, as well as Vincent locked away in a coffin, untill Cloud's crew found him sleeping for 23-30 years in a basement of the ShinRa Mansion. Now, let's move on to their memories!! Tragic ones too. They were both put to death by the guns of their best friends. Brandon, shot by Harry, as Vincent was shot by Hojo.[Who also made the alterations on Vincent.] Romance. TRAGIC, TRAGIC love experiences. Brandon's sweetheart, Maria, has chosen Big Daddy over Brandon. As Vincent's crush, Lucrecia rejected him when he had shown her the engagement ring he had prepared for her. Shortly after, Vincent spotted Hojo[the mean, mean, mad scientist] and his love, Lucrecia Kissing. I think they have the same opinion about love also! " As long as she is happy, I will be happy for her. " Ever so sweet, but depressing. Quite similar, huh? However, these facts are NOTHING compared to their KEY similarity. THEY BARELY SAY ANYTHING. They are quiet and brooding. Both dark and mysterious. Only speaking when it is TRULY necessary. The quality of both Grave and Vincent that we all LOVE!! XDXD I LOVE both Grave and Vincent!! I'm happy they're twins!! THANK YOU, for reading this whole NOVEL I've wrote. Do you think you know any twins of Grave? Post them here!! ^_^

I've never actually played any FF game, but I see the similarities you mentioned. Though physically, I've always thought Vincent looked a lot like Chrno from Chrno Crusade. The first time I saw him was in a fanart and I mistook him for Chrno. He doesn't actually look like one specific form of Chrno, but more like a combination of all three... his 'kid' form before the Magdalene Order, his current 'kid' form, and his full demon form.
Though personality-wise I can't say they are the same. But history-wise he's more similar to Brandon. His comrade, Aion ripped off Chrno's horns, and was locked him away in the tomb of the one he loved, all because he could not kill her. And then there's also the fact that Chrno was used as the 'sword' of Aion to get what Aion wanted. 3nodding

Cool, Vincent is pretty similar to Grave. And yes, Vincent is my favorite character from FF7. Even though they are similar, Vincent definetily talks more than Grave.

While your points are fairly valid, I have to disagree wit' a certain many of them, just bein 'me. 1.) no, I wouldn't say their clothes are anyway similar. Vincent adopts a prodomently (spellin'?) red 'n black, i..e his entire red cape, red headband, black body material for chest 'n slacks. Grave bein' a mixture, but mostly blue 'n white until his re-vamped version in OD which was nearly strictly red 'n black. Albeit more black. Grave also emphasized more on cross usage as opposed to vincent who is just..uh...sneaky cape? 2.) jab's quite right. Vincent says quite a lot more as opposed to Grave who kept quite silent aside form his monologues in the series. True, compared to other FF characters Vincent says less, but this is Grave 'n Vincent in comparison. 3.) very correct. Grave loved Maria, Vincent loved Lucrecia. But one different. Grave (or at that time Brandon) GAVE UP Maria to Big Daddy, for her happiness as he knew she would be better off wit' him then himself. Vincent lost Lucrecia to Hojo, not Vincent bendin' to Lucrecia's 'better life' scenario 'n givin' 'er to Hojo. quite different.
I applaud you on the references you found. Though, despite my appreciation for vincent, his gun isn't as cool as Grave's guns. I mean, Grave has like hand cannons in two hands, not to mention a coffin fixed wit' a rather large rocket launder 'n vulcan. 'N Vincent has his little 3 barreled pea-shooter. Equip Final Attack-Life2 Vincent? I think so.

1. I wasn't talking about the similarities in their clothes in particular, but in the 'mood' they give off. They're not happy-happy clothes. That's what I'm trying to say. 2. Vincent definetly talks more than Grave. No, this isn't a comparison, it's finding similarities... Grave talks the least in his game, Vincent talks the least in his. 3. Not really. Vincent, in a way was doing a similar thing as Grave did. If Vincent really wanted her, than giving her a better life, he would have clutched onto her, no matter what the case. Although, I guess you're right. =_= Thank you for your applaud. ^_^ Vincent's gun isn't as cool as Grave's? That's your opinion. I personally like Vincent better than Grave, and simple has always been the best for me. Big doesn't mean cool, sweetie. You've obviously did not see Vincent's other guns. You can look at a piece of complicated s**t and call it cool, but it doesn't work on me. [No, I am not calling Grave's gun 's**t', for I like Grave.]

Hm, valid points. In the sense of the mood I see what you mean - it was my mistake in thinkin' on more superficial sense as opposed to the deeper meanin's. Course, this merely my own opinion but Vincent comes off as more of an undead apparition (which he kinda is) in the fact of the way his 'cloak' moves 'n how he himself moves. Grave has a certain degree of more class to clothes - even though he's dead. Well, his outfit from OD. Grave's original outfit was more like a weird tuxedo-cowboy from a retarded religious cult as his second outfit had more simplicity mixed wit' cool, easy goin' 'I'll bang your family' aura.
As the guns go, no i wasn't implyin' that due to the size of the guns that was what made them cooler. We all know from FFVII that Vincent packs a hell of a whallop in his tri-barreled cannon. It's just my opinion, that as far as design 'n style goes, Grave wins. I like Vincent's gun design, but Grave's has this aura of cool that just oozes out of the very image. But, as stated that's my view. Obviously, you are a fan of Vincent's. Fine by me, i won't sway your decision. I just suppose it also derives from my affixiation wit' dual-wieldin' guns to take on an enemy. 'N no, 'fore anyways says - that does not mean it goes wit' anythin'; say - House of the Dead (movie) or Halo 2. Both are a travesty that should be burned from the very core of society's brain.

Much as I hate to say it... Haji from Blood+ (top of image) http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/2/2c/Otonashi1.jpgI primarily attribute him with having simulariity to Grave in that he is always carrying around that huge steel coffin on his back. Or at least, that's what it's made to look like. I believe it's been confirmed more or less as being a carrying case for his cello and Saya's sword. Nonetheless, the base imagry of a coffin remains and the fact he uses it to fight with on occasion adds to the similarity even more. On the personality front, he seems fairly reserved and doesn't seem to speak very much. Though he still does so more than Brandon/Grave. He also shares the same diehard loyalty to protect his loved ones(Haji is to Saya as Grave is to Mika). Both are technically "Dead" and incredibally difficult to kill. Like Grave, Haji constantly acts as one big damage sponge with the injuries fairly rapidly regenerating and only holding him back for a very brief preiod of time. He also possesses the same spectacular strength that Grave does. On the opposite side of the spectrum however, Haji is WAY faster than Grave could ever hope to be and can apparently leap tall buildings in a single bound. His choice of weaponry (outside the not-coffin) is pretty far from Grave's natural choice as well. He is typically seen wielding this really pansy a** looking dagger thing. So some clear similarities here and there, but not enough to really say he's a "clone" or "twin" of Grave. But if you like Brandon, then you'd probably like Haji as well for the same general reasons...

Might as well toss in wolfwood from trigun, just from the whole attitude. Granted, its been awhile and I always thought of him as someone who just goes and gets the job done without a lot of fuss. That and he does carry a cross full of guns.
Alucard mainly cause he does carry two very large guns, granted the hellsing organization says he is created from the finest scientist, I doubt that in ways.
Grave can be killed, in OD Fangoram almost killed him and he does die in the anime. As Dr. Tokioka stated, he needs a massive amount of blood to sustain his body. As hard as it may seem, even the mighty Alucard almost died in the manga by Walter when he turned vampire. So unfortunately, none of them are beyond death. Some just have a knack for surviving longer then others.
