I never fully understood the social aspects of why National Socialists and Communists hate eachother over. They are both political theories that have much in common. And disregarding the economic aspects, of which they are somewhat similar, what are the social reasons? I ask you not to debate, but to inform me, for I am not exactly sure of this, and my colleagues give me vague, general reasons as do books.

What are you defining as National Socialism? The term itself is so vague. Do you mean Nazism? The D.A.P.? or just Nationalism in general?

Let's say the policies and ideologies of the N.S.D.A.P. (Nationalsozialistische Deutsche Arbeiterpartei) Because what the hell is Nazism other then a derogatory term for National Socialists? Look through any "Nazi" speech, you'll never hear themselves refer to themselves as "Nazis", merely some parties use the term in the name to let the uneducated know that they are quite similar to the NSDAP.
National Socialism isn't too vague.

In practice or in theory? In Theory, they're quite similar. In practice, Communism never works and National Socialism is Fascism, which is on the opposite end of the political spectrum as Communism.
Communism is about equality; everyone is equal. Everyone is the state, the state is everyone. National Socialism is about. . .equality, sort of. Everyone is loyal to the state, and they are all equal because of their loyalty. They are the state, but the state is not them.
To be run fairly and justly, with true equality, both depend on an aspect of human nature which, unfortunately, does not like to show itself very much. Respect and concern for the rest of Humanity.
