What's the one song/album that got you into Goo Goo Dolls?
What song made you go "Oh wow, I have to hear more of their stuff"?
Or what album made you go "This is the best album!"?

For me, Iris got me into the Goo Goo Dolls. I've loved the song forever, and I think it's one of the best songs ever written. Very beautiful!

Here Is Gone.
Growing up, I wasn't exposed to good music. I listened to what was on the radio, and at that time, it was full of shitty pop (though I didn't think it was shitty then). I heard Here Is Gone one day after faking sick so I could stay home from school. I completely fell in love with it, and knew I had to find more by this band. Here Is Gone was just so unlike anything I had ever heard before, and it literally changed my life.
I listen to good music now. biggrin

Gotta be Iris... haha I'm exactly like everyone else, but still. Iris is an amazing song!
And haha I used to be totally like that, listening to the crap on the radio. But now, I like good stuff.

Iris. I loved that song before I really got into music. One day I went and picked up a Goo Goo Dolls album and I was like, "Hosnap, I know this song!"

I think....Iris. Although, I could be wrong! It might have been broadway! XDDD Then, I heard Iris later. Hahaha. :[ xD
Regardless, it's all amazing. I finally got my mom to buy me Dizzy Up The Girl this christmas. <3 My favourite CD, EVER. XD

Well, Iris is the most common, and I can count myself as no exception, but really, I can't say which got me hooked first. Iris or Baby's Black Balloon. Black Balloon is one of my all time favorites, and even though I've moved on from just Goo Goo Dolls and Matchbox20, it has and always will have a special place in my heart.

I always loved "Name", "Slide", and "Iris", but I never knew who sang them or that they were in some way related. Then I got curious and searched the Goos and found out that "Iris" and "Slide" were on the same album, so I went to Wal-Mart and bought Dizzy Up the Girl. My obsession has continued from there--especially after hearing "Black Balloon" and "Bullet Proof."
Haha, the first time I listened to DUtG, I didn't realize that there were two singers. rofl I felt really stupid when I found out. redface

I heard Black Balloon for the first time many years ago and I always wondered who sang it. Now I know that it's the Goo's obviously. I also didn't know there were singers. But I love them both. Goo Goo Dolls are my favorite band of all time.
