I made a pillow~!*
Pink. Fuzzy. Squishy. PILLOW!

I love it.
Ima call it Cotton.
..and I've fabric to make a fuzzy, blue pillow that'll be called Candy.
'Cause I'm that awesome.

I just started using a sewing machine so it was rather hard for me to get finished. Kinda thought it would be a little easier than it was.. should have known that it wouldn't be though.**

I'm planning on making a big 1up Mushroom pillow.
..eh.. after I make my second pillow and do more things to help me get use to the machine.. xD

Anyone else do crafts?
Sew, knit, crochet, pottery, scrapbook.. anything?

*I know a pillow may not sound like the greatest achievement.. but it's so awesome to me~ :"3
..and it'll have to do until I figure out how to make other things.. like clothes... that fit.

**I love when I find something to do that looks easy but it really isn't.
It will drive me insane for a little while but it will also make me work harder.

I do - or rather did... strange how life gets in the way of the things you like to do. I can embroider like nobody''s business ^_- and I too love making pillows! One year, for christmas, I made all of my friends pillows with their names embroidered on them. And when I was in HS, I did all the costuming for the drama department's productions. *sigh* Stupid having to earn a degree so I can make a meager living... whee

I've always wondered.. is it possible to freehand the designs or do you always have to use some sort or pattern?

I loved the costumes that were not worn when my brother was in drama. They had a lot of pretty 18th century looking clothes stashed away. @w@
I don't know why they never used any of it..

I sew, knit, make jewelry, and I can make friendship bracelets. I'm not an expert at sewing or knitting, but I can do them if necessary. Jewelry making is the same. I can't cut stones, make settings for them or anything fancy like that xP

For the pillows I free handed it... after all, pillows are just easy to do ^_^

As for the clothes, I did not often work without a pattern. That is because you can make the mistake on paper and not worry about killing your fabric! But I have also worked without.

My favorite dress was this fabulous and ridiculous sparkley number with neon pink and electric blue netting coming from the bottom and bust. It was absolutely horrible, but awesome at the same time. I'll try and find a picture of it. heart

Patterns = endless fun for me. Mum got me to make one for my pillows.. just to understand what they're for and practice, I guess? It ended up with little faces all over it...
