Before you read this, just know that it is but a rough draft of the book I am currently writing. The names may change and things definately will be changed around. So don't totally put me down about or anything ok...?

§ Prologue of a misguided coquette §

This is my story. The story of how I became what I now am, died in the process and kept going. I will not reveal where I reside currently or where I plan to go in the ever-looming future however; I will give you the story of my past. I survive on blood, whether it be human or animal and although you the reader may not like it, it is what I am. My very existence is derived from the nectar that sustains every single one of my victims. I am but one of the many entities roaming the earth for the past hundred years or so would. My name is RJ and I am what one would call a vampire. I have lingered over this earth for very long time, too long for my own sanity. Thoughts of disappearing into nothing continue to torment my waking hours, constant hate for the one whom I once loved for changing me into such an undesirable, murderous form. The body I have inhabited all these years has no need for anything except for blood, the breathe of life having petrified in my undead lungs. I long seceded my creator, the vengeful beauty who did make me this way. Although I have long claimed to hate the fascinating man who created me as I did earlier, the truth is I have always loved him and most likely will as long as I am contained in this relic of a once living body. Long I have waited to tell my devils story, waited to let the tale fall from my lips. Though a femme fatale I am, the worst I have ever met, I must speak now my story of lies and truths, life and death, sin and virtue, as it is the only piece of my sanity I have left. cinnamon
It has been a profoundly long time since a single thought has passed though my mind of my human life, so forgive me if pieces are missing in the first part of my story. In fact, there very well may be many pieces missing to the puzzle of which I will be describing from my mind onto this practically blank piece of parchment. I will start with my hometown and a vague description of the time until my life was ended and a new one begun for me.

§ Julia Amaris Remington §

On a day near a town called Cumbria located in England on the 16th of November in 1716, a little girl was born. Cumbria its self is picturesque, beautiful lakes and tall mountain peaks covering the land in the surrounding area. It was winter, a harsh one at that, in the middle of the night when the newborn’s mother finally brought her into the world. Her mother named her Julia Amaris Remington, the Julia coming from a long family line and the Amaris coming from the heart of the mother herself. It was a full moon out the night she was born and as her mother stared out the window, tears streaming down her face and sweat beading on her forehead, she saw the moon glowing brightly outside her window. The woman took this as a sign, giving her daughter the middle name ‘Child of the Moon’. The woman soon died from internal bleeding from the birth, the baby girl never getting to meet either of her parents as her father died much earlier on in the pregnancy. The girl grew up, taking her fathers’ English cheekbones and skin color, her mothers’ eyes and her hair. She turned out as a tall girl with high English cheekbones, a severely pale complexion, sapphire eyes and cinnamon hair with dashes of dark wine intermixed with the long tresses that wisped around the slender girl. She stood around 5’8, towering over the other girls her age most of her life. She was moved around often, no one in her family wanting to keep her after her parents left her alone in the world. Her great uncle, who had never had a child of his own, finally took her in. After a few years he died and left her all of his possessions, money and home. She was but seventeen years old when he died and she was left to take care of herself. She refused to leave her home and managed every aspect of the household by herself, figuring out how to gain money and run the house. She managed it for three years on her own, hiring people and letting them go as needed and then he came, the visitor supposedly sent by her family to see how she was doing. She invited him in, deciding that she may as well be civil to the family that had all but thrown her into the trash.

§ Now is where I will tell the rest of the story for myself. I figured you could use a background that I accumulated from diaries and letters from my great uncle and parents before I begin to tell my side of the story. §

I quickly shooed the small boy trying to open the door and opened it myself, greeted with the sight of a tall, lithe ivory man, his skin practically glowing in the moonlight on my front step. I glanced the man up and down, taking note of his mussed black hair and glowing saffron irises filled with what I determined was lust. I spoke softly, trying to seem as if I was but a meek, well-dressed servant come to answer the door.
“Hello… May I help you?”
The answered with a well-toned soprano that filled the small area we were standing in and echoed down the long stone hallway of my house was shocking to say the least. The words spoken back, though they themselves were not as shocking still surprised me a bit, although I was already taken back by the alluring voice the man had.
“Why yes, you might be able to… Are you the lady of the house? You are much to lovely to be but a simple housemaid.” I stood shocked into silence then quickly regained my composure, determined not to be made a fool.
“Why yes, I am. Please come in.” I welcomed the man in, slightly annoyed by the gist of mischief that was dancing in his eyes as he sauntered in through the redwood door.
“Please follow me. Where is that woman…? She was here just a few minutes ago. Marie? Marie, are you about? We have a guest!” The man followed me closely, much too close for my personal liking and I picked up my pace, his much longer legs keeping up with mine easily.
“Might I ask what you need with me?” My simple heels clicked as I walked to the dining room with eyes boring into my back as I walked along. I ignored the goose bumps prickling up my arms and glanced around for my old maid Marie, who had worked for my great uncle when he was still alive.
“Our family sent me to check up on you. This reminds me, I am sorry for showing up at such a late hour. I have just gotten into town after the six day trip I took to get here.”
“It’s fine, I’m really not bothered. I don’t get very much sleep anyhow; the only ones awake currently are my maid Marie and the son of one of the servant girls who lives here with me. Why has my family sent you to check up on me?” I stopped short and turned, a few inches away from the tall man, looking up into ochre eyes with determination.
“They wondered how you fared all these years in this huge house with no man to keep you company in the… long nights you spend without anyone here... They have realized how they wronged you so many years ago.” His, lips curved upwards in what I considered a mocking smile, pretending to be polite. I smirked back, my voice laced with malice for the family that had long deserted me.
“Please. As if they should now begin to care. They have left me alone in this world since I was but a newborn. What do they want? Money, credit for my accomplishments, a renewal of friendship? I refuse to rekindle the long dead family connection with them again. I have no need for the family that left me so long ago, nor do they need me. Out of hospitality for you coming such a long way, I will allow you to spend however many days you need to replenish your stock of food and regain your spent energy.” Marie appeared at that moment, obviously listening in and waiting for the right moment to show up.
“Marie, please take him to a guest room in the north wing. Have Sophia tend to what he needs, whether it be washing or meals and,” I turned and addressed the rest of my words to the man standing beside me with an almost angry expression on his face.
“If you happen to need me, just send Sophia to get me or Marie. As you most likely know my name is Julia. Since you will be staying in my house I will need to know your name.” I watched him clear his throat and part his pale rose lips to speak.
“My name is Oriole.”
“Very well, food will be served anytime you need to eat, however if you wish to have a meal with me, I eat at around 9 o’clock in the morning, 1 o’clock in the afternoon, and around 8 or 9 o’clock at night. Most of the times are relatively flexible because the times all depend on that days work.” I glanced over at Marie and walked over, leaning next to her ear to whisper,
“After you take him to his room, tell Sophia her new task then come to my room.” I delicately picked up my skirts and walked over to the stairs.
“Good night, Oriole.”
I quickly climbed the stone steps, my heels clicking with each step. I held my skirts up so as not to trip and climbed the winding staircase, soon out of the sight of the man known as Oriole who was sent from my loathsome family. Did they really think that I would just forgive them? Though forsaking my beliefs, though I had long stopped following them, I had committed at least three of the seven deadly sins. Anger and pride were to be my downfall one day and I knew it, though I knew not how soon. Yes, I was one to hold a grudge and by the holy names of the gods I was going to hold one against them.

Well, that isn't bad. So, does Oriole eventually suck your blood? Or are you already a vampire at this point in the story?
