George Tutuska is the name. He was the drummer for the Goo Goo Dolls up until A Boy Named Goo. He did the drums for the cd and those previous to that (1995 and earlier). You can actually see his name printed in the ABNG insert. He and John had some issues and he was expelled before the release of the cd which after firing him, they recruited Mike. George works around New York and I'm pretty sure he's married with kids.

Yeah. George was the orginal drummer, but Johnny and George had "creative differences". Johnny left the band right after A Boy Named Goo was finished, but Robby didn't want him to give up on his dream, so he got Johnny back and got rid of George.

Ahhh, Thank you for informing me. This all makes Sense, because after A Boy Named Goo, the Band Got all Pop-esqe. Not that I don't love their current music as much as I love their stuff from Hold me up and some of Jed...but I can see how that might have happened...

I can sing 22 Seconds better than 'ol George...

Yeah- Johnny threatened to leave the band if Robby didn't let him kick George out is what I heard. Supposedly Robby and George were still pals at the time and it was really weird. Woah- imagine the Goo GOo Dolls without John. I probably would never have heard of them. Do you think they'd still be together?
Congratulations on the singing better than George thing. I haven't listened to the older cds enough to recognize his voice. Its kinda hard to differentiate when theyre all kind yelltalksinging. I thik I'll go google him!

Johnny did leave the band. Robby had to go get him back, but he said he'd only come back if George was gone.
I don't think they'd be around today. If they were, they wouldn't be as big as they are now.
And, as swordtail said, George only sings on 22 Seconds. Not the best. blaugh

George is also able to heard on the very first cd First Release. He does quite a lot on that cd and he and John do backup for Robby.
