This is not a test.

well i guess being here says enough about my anime fandom as it is, but heres the quick background. Been a fan since 1990 when i was 7yrs old. Since the age of 13 i have been setting up websites, running clubs and attending conventions. I have been drawing and animating in an anime style since i was seven. Not long graduated University with a BA in Animation. I live a split life between working C.E.X (complete entertainment xchange) and my love for art and anime. I give up too much time to help everyone around me. A bad habit i am slowly realising will only hurt my progress. I try to check in on my internet life when i can, though always feel guilty since i should be working hard painting lots and lots of animation cels instead of sitting in front of Beast or E.V.E (my computers). I have recently returned to Gaia after taking a couple of years to complete my anime project. The art arena is begging me for more submissions. I unfortunately dont get the oportunity to pursue my training anymore. I used to box, fence and on occasion attend kung fu. I'd like to get out of this half and half, survival hole i have found myself in. Lets see what the world offers ^_^

The Reprimand
Written by Jc

Gwynne's punishment, if you want to call it that, has been decided. Since this is something that concerns the whole Guild, it will be posted here so all may know the outcome of said actions.
  • Kishou is to reduce her character's channeling strength by some means. This is a permanent aspect of her character. She will have the strength of Nikoru or Selene.

  • The special cloak weave she uses will be no more.

  • Chalinda will cease to be apart of our story. Isainde will remain, however.

  • This punishment is to be exacted in full one week from today. Failure to do so will result in a more severe punishment.

  • Gwynne no longer has the understanding and fluent speech of the Old Tongue. While she understands some Old Tongue, she is too young to have so complete an understanding as she did.

  • Kishou has been removed the crew status and no longer has authority within the Guild.

As an additional note, this has nothing to do with, nor hinders, the ic punishment Gwynne must face. These are two separate instances and will not be considered to be in lieu of each other.

See? Surgery Isn't so Bad..
Written by Jc

In my time off today, I have touched up on the Guild in a major face-lift. I prettied up the Link List page, the Application and the Rules & Regulations in addition to reworking the member list, which has been rennovated to show in a better lineup than before who is who and what they are. Likewise, it's much easier to read. However, I'm lacking 3 bios from people.
  • Kurai
  • Tarma
  • Nanako

I am going to start nagging and nagging and (yes) nagging to get these bios to complete the collection. Expect a lack of silence until I receive them.

Also, we may have a new, very creative and unique addition to our ranks very soon. Simply put, I was very impressed with his application. We'll see how things develop in the coming days. There's a few more applications floating about, but if anything in the past is hold true now, we won't have any return. I love surprises, though.

Lastly, the Stedding is up and running, especially since everyone is housed in the thread now. It is a thread to do whatever you want, so long as you follow the rules for it. Within the week, additional announcements about it will come and soon everyone will be on the same page for what will happen. I'm writing up the rules for it off and on right now. In the mean time, get to know the other characters (again) and we'll be back to doing whatever soon.

Until next time.

That New Guy.. Whasshisname?
Written by Jc

The newest bit of news is possibly the most exciting piece we've encountered all week. In fact, I would say all month at this rate. Seeing as how this article should have come about a week ago, the good news is, the time has come now for its unveiling.

It is at this time I would like to introduce our newest member:
Gerias Alcor

He's going to be playing the part of a retired pirate/mercenary figure. When his bio becomes available, it will be posted with the rest of them in the Member List area. Until he is introduced into the story, he'll be floating around the ooc thread.

And Kai, do not scare the new guy off.

Generalities
Written by Jc

There's not much to update to today. We're in a bit of a lull, especially since Gaia has been disabling the Guilds for random reasons that have not been stated. There's talk of the GGN2 coming out sometimes soon, but no official date has been declared. Typical of Gaia.

Secondly, there's a mammoth plot under the works right now that's pretty tight-lipped and close-mouthed. Let's just say it'll bring back some memories of the past. I hope all of you look forward to it as a touch of old comes back to mix with the new. It should provide a much more entertaining atmosphere.

Third, I revamped the Riddle Me This page so the title post is more pleasant to look at. As I stated there, I might organize it into a better field. Or just recreate the thread and modify the organization of things. Don't know, but it's likely to be a boredom project.

With little more to say, I am going to sign this update off and go back to lurking.

Jc's Crazy Little Life
Written by Jc

I won't be around much for the next 9 days (Or until after Friday of next week). This is because I've undertaken a crazy work schedule which pits me up against physical stamina and endurance in order to survive. In less exciting ways to put it, I'm working 6:30 to 6 each day until this 10 straight days of Mass Receiving is done at the new store.

Because of this, the Guild is in a temporary freeze of new applicants. I have four to contend with at the moment and they will momentarily get a PM stating that they are awaiting a moment when I can give them my full, undivided attention and not pass out on the keyboard. Today was my first day on this job (at 11 hours to be paid to me), and I'm friggin exhausted.

So, patience please, everyone. I will do what I can in the few waking moments I have. In the meantime, while I am mindlessly scanning and stacking boxes, I will be thinking of alternatives. Thanks and peace out.

Do Not Cross The Line.
Written by an Angry Captain

Okay. I'm pissed. Plainly stated. I have a few things to say here, which will be applied to the journal. Lines will be set up and if anyone, long-served member or not, crosses the lines, I will ban you. Period.

There will be no introduction of thirt party Guild discussion or expression of any form unless it is a sincere suggestion for someone to look into it. Any negative third party (and by third party I mean anything outside of this WoT forum) feedback will not be tolerated.

Furthermore, any retaliation or defense of any third party Guild is guilty of the same crime which is now punishable by banning. I am to be taken seriously here when I say this is not a social hangout parlor. Keep to WoT and do not include interests of other Guilds.

I am an easy person to get along with, but I cannot and, furthermore, will not tolerate this type of behavior. This is the line. Anyone who brings these types of conversations up and start provoking other members of this group (new or old) or brings unwanted, non WoT drama into these forums will be removed. This is not exactly a no tolerance policy, but do not expect this to be taken lightly. This is the fair warning.

You have been warned.

A Shift of Structure
Written by Jc

Since the day Kishou stepped down as crew and moderator of the WoT Guild, I have been looking and searching for someone to take that position back. I have finally come to a decision concerning the situation. Furthermore, should anyone not approve of this decision, you can contest it as long as you have a valid reason behind it. PM these reasons to me, because otherwise they will be ignored or deleted if they are in the ooc thread. And I doubt I change my mind.

Henceforth, Kai and Tarma will be crew and moderators of the WoT Guild. They will follow what I ask them to and enforce the rules that the Guild abides by. Their word is as good as mine. Crossing them is crossing me. And I don't like people crossing me.

The Nightmares of a New Semester
Written by Jc

This new semester has taken off and I am now fully aware of my schedule. It's a bit of a tricky one, especially considering all the extra activities I'm partaking in (not entirely by choice). This is the Human Resource season for me, training and becoming more knowledgeable with HR compliance and functions, etc.

Later this month, I will become a member of SHRM (Society of Human Resource Management), will begin prepping for the PRH (Professional of Human Resources) test, and be apart of the HR society with my college. This just pertains to one class. My Legal Environment of Business class is going to be a bit challenging, but shouldn't be too hard once I get the hand of the legal-talk. Business Statistics and Intro to Mass Communication should each be a breeze.

Work will change up for me again starting next Tuesday as lately I've been working at Midwest City again. It's their Grand Opening, and my hours have been odd and long. So, that's one of the major reasons I haven't been visible much. This is changing, especially as the new plot is beginning to take off. While I might not have a direct influence of the story line, I will be watching it from behind the scenes with a very picky eye.

And lastly, I'm a bit bored, and I figure I've been much of a mystery to the majority of you for the duration of our time here. That's why I'm going to unlock the chapter of Jc and let you all see the mastermind who sits behind the keyboard. This is my MySpace account. Hopefully this isn't my undoing.

But in any case, I should be able to get the full plot moving (with the help of Kai) very soon. Until then, happy guilding!

A Necessary Update
Written by Jc

So lately, the whole world of Gaia has gone through a lot of changes. The new Guild system is out, as you all know now, and there's a lot of differences that I had not thought would be implemented. For instance, the dice rolling function or the specialized post styles. There's a lot of new groundwork to be played with and I hope to utilize a lot of it very soon.

In addition, the plotline is still being worked on. However, since the Guilds went down, the plotting went to a standstill. This is largely due to the fact we [being the mods of the Guild] didn't continue to talk through PMs. That, and I was horridly busy with school (as I always am, right?). School is still going to be a problem, but it shouldn't get much in the way. Here's hoping, but I know I have a good staff to help out when/if necessary.

While the movement to the new plotline will begin, the actual plot will not take place for some time yet. There's a few settings we're working on and we (hopefully) will introduce a new system of role play that will make this a much more exciting place than our current craziness of misdirected character development.

In addition, if you want to start your own plot, it is required that you submit an outline for it to either Kai or myself so that we can look it over and figure how it'll affect anything else that might be going on. We'll take into consideration every request but might not allow it right off. We'll get to it, trust me. Just give us patience. We have a plan (as crazy as THAT sounds! xd )

So, having compiled a new update, I'll leave you with this: subforums are coming in the next few weeks. Prices are not determined and therefore, no speculation is going to be accurate. Just imagine the possibilities with Subforums.. Endless!

Until next time.

What is to Come
Written by Jc

Established and ready to implement is a new system, a new plot, and a whole new world of WoT Guild antics! In the upcoming days (most likely starting Tuesday), a motion will begin that cannot be stopped, altered, or prevented. Unless of course Gaia shuts down forever. But even that would be a small setback. Patience has paid off. The time is now.

Updates have been few and far between for a lot of reasons. You can guess the first couple. Lack of time to get everything done. Rushed, intensive planning, stragetic formulation of new concepts and dealing with Guilds being down for the ten days didn't help. But now we're on our way.

So prepare, guildmates! The rising sun, in all its scarlet, orange, and golden rays shines upon us and we progress again! Look for an important, guild-wide change in the next couple days.

As it stands...
Written by Kai

Our fearless leader Latent Undoing, has taken a step back and handed me the steering Wheel for a while. The new plot is still in motion, if somewhat set back a bit, but its a short hop, skip and a jump to the next main storyline from where we are now.

I also want to finish JC's cleaning job he started and I am not sure where he is along the process. Eventually I will get to that, but its second in comparison to making sure everyone is entertained.

The new system, is in the works, but a small hiccup is preventing its play-testing. I do, however, want to put it to a vote when I am ready with it to see if people actually want a new system. I will go in more depth on its 'pre-release' so to speak.

Finally, if there are any problems or concerns you have, PM me. I only have half an inbox, so PMing me makes me feel important. I will try to keep the antiquity of this guild in a state where we all enjoy it, but at the same time I want everyone to have a good time and know that their imagination is the limit....which doesnt leave much untouched with this group....
