Ok..., here is what we are going to do. Every week I will give you a topic to debate on. Mature discussion only.

First topic:

If all elements are needed to exist with each other, than why is fire needed?
PostPosted: Sat Jul 14, 2007 8:10 pm

fire must destory the old life so the new life may be born through earth and water and nurtured by air.

Fire burns the old trees, leaving the soil fresh, and the ashes of the old make the soil richer, so wen new life can rise from the ashes. With out fire, there would come no death to the forest, trees die by disease, and old age, but it happens slowly, so without the fire, to wipe out forest in a single night, the earth would be over grown, all would be a forest, untill the tree's blocked out the sun light, and killed theselves, leaving the earth barren, with no air, and no life. Fire ceeps order, fire is like death in the tarot deck. It means the ending of a age, but the coming forth of something newer and better, without it, it would be like reversing the death card. Clinging to the old, no good can come from it, only the ending, with nothing anew.

because nature is about balance. Without fire, the forests would go stagnent and baren. When a forst is burned, the seeds are blown out further into the land from the waves caused by the heat, causing trees and plants to migrate. Also because fire keeps me toasty.

YAY national geographic!

ok ya fire burns forests so new trees can begrown but what about the earth, can it not decay the old trees that have fallen. fire isnt needed in the natural world in most cases but the few exceptions do exist. fire is a man created energy, used to build steel an earth element.

Exactly what I was thinking when I read these. I was waiting for someone to post what I was thinking to post.

fire is not a man made element, it occurs naturally and is the fourth state of being, solid=earth, liquid=water, gas= air and plasma=fire, man makes fire his own but that doesn't mean he created it.

Man did not make fire, but man does use fire quiet often. Man also did not make steel, steel in nature can be found in the form of raw ore, just like gold, and silver.

I am not saying that steel isn't a natural element. I am saying steel in it's pure form isn't natural. Also, although fire does naturally occur in nature sometimes, it is mostly made by humans.

Also the question was why it was needed, not is it natural or not
