First off i want to state that no character is more important than another. When it comes down to it they all make the story work. I hate competitions when you see the same character drawn a billion times and the others are neglected. So please choose a character that you are comfortable drawing, this contest will not be judged on who drew my favourite character the best. It will be judged on creativity, composition, how well you depicted the character etc, remember all my characters are eligiable for the grand prize not just the main characters wink heart

Also there is a lot of naughtiness, violence, gore etc in my story so remember when drawing a pic keep it to pg-13

Extremly bright green eyes (make sure her eyes are green this plays a huge part in the story)
The heroine of the story Aya is serious, hard working and short tempered. The leader of the trio she takes pride in her work and doesn’t take any crap from her fellow co workers especially Orianne. Unlike the other two Aya is not one for social festivities and usually excludes herself from them to do something that she finds more important like training or hunting so she has no time for the sexy characters of the opposite sex.

Aya's (incredibly hawt 8D)hunting partner, well when she allows him to go with her. Very shy and not exactly confident, Cort usually gets himself into trouble when out hunting since he usually gets distracted by Aya. He has worked with Aya and Orianne for several years and has grown a huge crush on Aya, which Orianne usually teases him about. Actually throughtout the story he is usually teased by Orianne, Thane and Grey tends to bully him a bit T_____T (i have such mean characters) After being turned down by Aya, Cort feels sorry for himself, gets drunk and sleeps with Orianne :O :O :O

The wild fun loving one of three, Orianne spends most of her time at headquarters hacking into government sites and researching anything that would be of assistance to the three. She is extremly slim with a small bust, but with her flirty personality no man can resist her. Although extremely hard working when she actually works, she tends to get distracted very easily and quite enjoys winding her team mates up, her hobbies include men, men and men. After Cort gets turned down by Aya ands gets completly smashed she takes advantage of him, well she is a man eater ^~ *cough*hussy*cough* Unlike the other two Orianne does not carry a sword but prefers a micro uzi.

Grey Eyes
Cocky and arrogant and extremely good looking. In the first half of the story, Thane comes across as the good guy but in reality he is a complete sod and working for Aldrich. Although not a vampire Thane works for Aldrich purely for the fact he will be rewarded with power and he is a very power hungry man (with a very sexy body biggrin ~ ) He finds Aya extremly interesting and takes a shine to her (not in a sexual way)

Over a thousand years old, yet still retains the looks of a man in his 20’s if he is able to feed on blood daily unlike most vampires who can go a few weeks without blood. If he does not get blood daily he ages rapidly and is unable to do much for himself. Classed as an ‘elder’ because of his age, Aldrich takes lead as the main bad guy in the story. He is a pure blood vampire unlike most of his sub ordinates and believes this makes him better than everyone else.

A fellow hunter has a 80's theme to his to his outfits >:3 (e.g ripped jeans leather jacket are must haves *drools*) He has a scar onhis left side of face from a fight he had with aya when he first met her surprised (but i anit going into detail) but he does try an use it to make Aya feel guitly which never happens. An extremly good fighter, he even gives Aya a run for her money. Ace has to crucifix tattooed on either side of his neck, a chinese Dragon tattoo that wraps around his right arm, and several piercings in each ear.
NOTE: Ace and Aya will have some sort of relationship but thats all i want to say on the matter for now *nods*

Maxwell
Sleazy, hairy yet still good looking Maxwell works for Thane and is the ringleader of my evil trio >:3 Very bossy and arrogant, he is not a vampire himself but finds working for them very rewarding. Maxwell usually wears a suit, butnever fastens the top buttons and never wears his tie properly.

Grey
The evilest of the trio, Grey wears an outfit similar to a priests one, but wears an upside down crucifix. He wears his hair in a huge mohawk made up of red and black colours. He has a lot of piercings (can you tell i like piercings? xD) This guy is evil towards everyone (he eats kittens for breakfast T-T jk ) and is another person who likes intimidating Cort.

My comic relief characters, these two ditzy girls look extremly alike except for Buffy who has a mole on the left hand side of her face. They dress in similar clothes and are training under Mina.

Mina works under Aldrich and is also a vampire herself but unlike Aldrich her vampire form is a human sized bat T____T that she can change into at will. She is very strict and takes no nonsense from her two pupils, or anyone for that matter. She is a very scary woman, who is visually plump and carries a stern expression most of the time.

INFORMATION AND NOTES

Different kinds of Vampires
Since the story is about vampires i thought i had better write about the different kinds that are included. Also a thing to note the older the vampire the stronger he/she is.

Elders - (Aldrich+ ?? ) Basically the old guys who run the show, becasue of there age they are worshipped and treated like royalty.

Basic- ( minor characters) The kind you see on tv. they look human but with extra pointy teeth.

Primitive - (Mr Bitey + other minor) These do not even look human at all. I have a reference pic that i need to scan for these guys.

Transformation- (Mina+ ??) Have the ability to transform into other animals usually bats but any carnivorous animal. An extreme rare vampire also has the abilty to chjange into other human beings.

Ways To Kill A Vampire
Basically Garlic, Holy water, sunlight, rice (XDDD) Do not work, niether do crucifix but the characters tend to wear them since they are supposed to ward off vampires, its kind of like a comfort thing.
Sunlight can also not kill them, although being in the sunlight for a prolonged amount of time does make them ill.

Vampires do not need to be invited into your home although they are normally quite polite and prefer to ask (XD)
Stakes through the heart only paralyze the vampire, although if someone does not remove the stake the vampire can stare to death.
There head must be removed.
They can be burned alive
The heart has to cut out. 'ick ick ick ick' >.<

Demo and friends are characters from Monkey_Pai's new story 'Demo' and she wants some art of these guys ^ ^ If you draw these guys you are eligable to win prizes from all the categories apart from 'Grand Prize, Best Group, and Most romantic :3

Demo
5'11' Eyes: Yellow
Hair: Dark Magenta (but stille quite vibrant, short (thick and various lengths, the longest pieces reaching to his shoulders)
His true age and name are unknown but he looks about 20 years old and goes by the name 'Demo'. Classed as a higher demon who, after awakening from over 200 years of imprisonment claims to not remember anything about himself. Because of his sudden emergence in the mortal world he is monitored by Ru and Violette, parole officers of the Demon Guidance and Management Department of Hell and (who monitor and deal with all demons living within the mortal world) until they decide what should be done with him.

His full powers are not totally known either, but he is a trickster demon. One of his powers includes changing gender to tempt mortals in either his male of female form (this is one of many other tricks).

When in his female form Demo retains his hair colour but the length grows to past his waist. Being able to control his body in such a way, he can control the size of his breasts quite freely he personally likes at least a C-cup. However, he does infact retain his male 'parts' (often a shock to those who is tricks if they ever get close enough to find out). Usually immediately after his transformation back from his female to his male form, Demo's hair remains long. He usually has to cut it (hence his unruly hair style) or wait a day before he can change it since this is his most power draingin transformation.

Age: 748
Height: 6'1"
Hair: White/Silvery, worn loose and long (to his waist)Eyes: L.Blue
Despite his age (which is actually still young for a demon), Ru usually inhabits the body of a young male of 24 or a male child of 6. Although a Higher Demon and one of the best and most respected Parole Officers (his full job title being Demon Probation and Behavioural Officer) working for the Demon Guidance and Management Office, Ru has avoided promotion and greater public attention for his entire 400 year career with the service. His existance is somewhat considered a myth until people meet him in person.

Because of his shifting between two human bodies (that of adult and child) Ru is considered to be part of a trickster bloodline, but Ru never tells of his family or his past, so little is known about his true powers. But Ru likes to spend most of his time in his child form as it is the simplest way to keep his powers surpressed (but mainly because he thinks he looks so cute...). However, Ru is often forgetful about such things and forgets to change into his child like form or will suddenly switch from one to the other without realising.

In his childlike form Ru has the same silvery-white hair and light blue eyes, but his hair is much shorter and thicker about his head in an unruly mop (which, in Ru's opinion, makes him adorable).

Age: 19
Height: 5'7"
Hair: Brown, short (above her shoulders) and slightly flicked out at the ends. Doesn't really have a fringe, but a few bangs hang in front of her face. Eyes: Violet
College student at St Valentine’s private college, living off campus at the home of her Aunt, Sister Mary Joanna Weiss.

Christie is a regular human, but she possesses the power to see and speak to the dead and similar spirits. This is a skill she does little to advertise or considers that unusual since she has been able to do it since she was a child.

She usually lives alone as her Aunt is almost always away on missions with her church group, but Christie does in fact live with the small child ghost Natasha and the possessed stuff toy rabbit, Sebastian. Several other spirits live in the large estate that was left to Christie’s Aunt by her grandfather, but only a small portion of the residential home is used by Christie to live in.

Christie knows little about her parents or, as her Aunt often describes them, “those wild and irresponsible hippies”. They died when she was four years old and since then Christie has lived with her Aunt.

Violette
Age: 189
Height: 5'5"
Hair: Soft reddish/pink hair pulled up into two large bunches on the top of her head, a couple of strands hanging loose around her face. Eyes: Dark Purple Eyes
Classed and a lesser Devil, Violette works as a Demon Guidance and Management Officer (also known as ‘Parole Officer’). Her job is to basicly monitor demons who work within the mortal world, making sure they do not infact break or bend any of the laws decided and laid down between heaven and hell in the interactions with mortals. Violette particular deals with Demons, Devils and Spirits who have proven to be ‘difficult’ in the past, usually with marks of disobedience against their records.

Violette has passed all classes in basic hell magic and suppressing powers (used particular in the control and manipulation of mortals) but has also graduated from advanced classes in Hell magic and summoning, classes usually not open to Devils.

Through heavy studying, determination and coming first in almost all her classes, Violette has excelled up the career ladder as one of the few Devils in the history of hell to be appointed any authority in the dealing of Demons. Despite her lesser status she is more powerful than many lower level Demons and often has to prove herself to the Demons around her.

Although Violette is nearly 200 years old, she resides in the body of a 17 years old.

"So, how does this entering business work?"
* Entries must be images of the characters listed here (as if you need to be told�)
* There is no limit to the number of times you may enter. So go nuts.
* All entries must be submitted with a complete Entrants Form (see Post 6)
* Entries are preferred to be entered by posts here in the thread, but in cases of lack of hosting or other major malfunctions, we will accept them via email. In the event of needing to email me, please let me know via the thread or PM before emailing.
*For anyone needing hosting there is Photobucket.com who allow direct linking and hosting (although with some file size limitations) or DeviantArt which does not allow direct linking, but will allow a basic html link.
* Entires via email as attachments must be sent with a completed Entrants Form included.

"Ah, so can I use old images? An image that isn't mine maybe?"
* No recycling images from old competitions or entering images that we have commissioned from you. All entries must be specific to this contest so no images from previous competitions, even if they resemble the characters.
* All artwork submitted must be by you. Art-theft is of course a very serious issue. Anyone found submitting art that is not their own or does anything that can be highlighted as theft, etc. from another artist or website will be dealt with severely.

"Well this is all well and good, but my friend wants to enter, but isn�t on Gaia. So can I post her entry for him/her?"
* If you know anyone outside of Gaia wishing to enter, please do not post on their behalf. They can email me with their entries, again with the Entrants Form completed with it (but the Gaian Username section will not apply). We will not accept any entries that are not created by the person submitting it.

"Can me and a friend do a collaboration and enter?"
* If a collaboration is entered, everyone involved with the image must be listed on the Entrants Form. I would hate for anyone not to be credited for their work.

"There are a lot of categories� Do I have to pick one to enter?"
* All images will be put into categories by me. So you need not think specific to the award guidelines, unless you specifically want to win that prize, in which case, make it as appropriate to the category as possible (ie best romance will need you to most likely draw a couple in a romantic pose or scene).

"So many prizes! How many can I win??"
* Each image entered may only win one prize. In the event the image is highest in more than one category, the bigger prize will of course be given. But an artist can win multiple prizes, so please, feel free to enter as many times as you like. Multiple images = more chance to win prizes.

"So what exactly are you two gonna do with all these entries? It is my work after all."
* Submitted entries will be later hosted on the Bloodlust Webcomic site (once it exists) and will, of course, be fully credited. If you are not happy with this, I unfortunately have to recommend you do not enter.
* Anyone who wishes to add watermarks, please feel free to do so, but please make them as discreet as possible.

"Right, well I have this one picture, its so hot, the guy and the girl are --"
* Gaia has, of course, restrictions to mature content. Any images you produce that may break these rules, please send to myself or monkey_pai via a PM or email. These will still need the entry form submitted with them.
* Hentai will not be accepted. *cries* Although we have categories for sexiest and romance, this does not mean we want images that are excessively sexual. n***s may be accepted, if done tastefully, but any images that I don�t see as appropriate will not be accepted into the competition. (Im gonna need monkey's help since i lack morals XD)

"I'm happy to enter, but I am worried what other people might say."
* If you do not want others to comment or critique your images when submitting, please say so.
* If someone has requested that no critiques or comments are made on their submitted entries, please respect this request.
* No flaming or trolling. Of any kind. Any problems you have with another person posting within the thread, please deal with elsewhere, preferably in private. Please keep all comments and critiques of entries and WIPs constructive and polite. Lets all play nice and support each other, �kay?

"Are WIPs allowed? I would love some feedback on my work, and there are some things I am a little unsure of� a little help maybe?"
* Feel free to submit WIPs (preferably in the thread) for critiques from us and other users, advice, if you want myself or monkey_pai to clarify something for you or to point out any errors you may have made, but bare in mind these will not be taken as entries into the competition. All entries must be complete.
* The Entrants Form is not required for WIPs, only for completed images to be classed as entires.

We will happily help anyone interested in the competition in any way we can, but we would both prefer to keep it within the thread. * If by the end of the competition you haven't completed an image, WIPs can be accepted and a small extension may be granted to allow you to finish you entry, but please try to stick to the deadline, as we may not be able to extend it (and it is a little unfair on the other entrants).

* To be honest all the pictures that should be posted in the thread by entrants or people passing through is entries for the competition. Im sure you all want to show off your artwork but the picture post is for that!
