The staff is still here and ready/willing to take orders! Everyone's been busy (We're all adults and ewww adult life and real-life responsibilities) and the lack of orders is a little disheartening, but we're still open, promise! We're all subscribed to the thread and know if something new is posted. We're not sure how long the shop will stay open with the lack of activity, but as things stand right now, we're all too stubborn to just close it. So please feel free to order heart ~Sary

What's that..? Do I smell.. flowers? Oh, hello, Squeak fans! There seems to be something in the air here at Squeak Pixels. All the rodents seem infatuated with one another! I'd keep an eye on them if I were you! Our breeders are hard at work on making a few new LIMITED-TIME-ONLY Squeaks, too. They should be up for sale on the 13th, so be ready! These special Squeaks will only be available for two weeks! And considering the way all the Squeaks are acting, I'd say you can look for some kind of Breeding special, too! Stay tuned! I've gotta go try to find out what's going on! And for those of you who aren't keen on lovey-dovey stuff this time of year, FEAR NOT! I'll bet there will be some non-lovey-dovey Limited Squeaks, too. Squeak for now! 4laugh

Hey, Squeak fans! Sary here. We're sorry to have been closed for so long, but have no fear! We've taken on a new employee [say hello to Aleutian!] recently, and are wrapping up the process of figuring out what the heck we're gonna do without Pook running the place and keeping us in line! With any luck regular orders will re-open within a day or two. It looks like we may move a fraction of our Workshop here to the front page of Squeak. We're discussing having slots for regular orders, at least temporarily until we figure out how well we handle the shop without Pook's constant supervision.

In any case, have no fear! We're opening back up REALLY REALLY soon! And while we haven't started planning any special events yet, don't be discouraged. We just want to make sure we can keep you, dear Squeak fans, satisfied before we promise you a super-shiny event. Anyway, KEEP CHECKING BACK, 'CAUSE WE'RE NOT DEAD! heart

Orders are temporarily closed because we're preparing to hire and we're going to be tweaking the thread a little! We're looking for two new employees! Check out out Hiring Thread for more details on applying!

As for the main thread, orders are no longer going to be constantly open. Instead, orders will only be filled when employees have their orders open in the workshop thread. If nobody's open, please don't place an order!

::November 7::
You might notice some changes to the thread. Donation Rodents have been renamed Special Rodents, and they're now available through the sales post. And there's a few new ones! Check 'em out! Also, take a look at our new Rodent Roulette post!

Our Halloween event has still going on! Have fun time traveling!

We've got new limiteds, as well as two new donation rodents up! In addition to that, there's FOUR new cage colors to choose from! And brand new bedding options! With so much new stuff, I can't wait to see some livelier cages!
Look out for a new tag color, coming soon as well.

::September 4::
After many delays, Squeak is back up and running again! Our new S/T system should help lighten some of the shop's burden from now on. If the S/T system is successful, the staff should have more time for fun things like flatsales and events! (Both of which are in planning!)
I hope you enjoy the changes and stick around for the upcoming Halloween Event! I promise it'll be a blast!

August 16- The shop is undergoing a major revamp!

March 3- Pook has decided that the Wonderland event will close on Thursday (March 4th!) so now's your chance to place any last minute orders! Things have been a little slow lately. We've got a NEW event, though! A guild event! Come check out the Laser Tag :: You're It! event! You have to join the guild to participate, though! Happy shootin'!

Feb 24- There has been a change to the breeding post! Lately poor Lily has been swamped with multiple breedings, so from now on please do not post more than one breeding request at a time! You'll have to wait until your previous breeding is completed before asking for another. And please don't lump breeding requests into a post with regular orders. Lily is the only employee who does breedings right now, and doing a lot of huge orders is rough!

There's been a rule for a while that you can't place multiple orders unless they're in the same post. To prevent humongous orders, I'm making an addition to this rule: I'd also like to ask from now on that no more than five forms be posted at a time.

Jan 1- We need a new pixel artist! Hiring Thread!

Sept 27- Pook has started working on revamping the thread! Hopefully Squeak will be up and running again smoothly soon. We've lost some of our staff, so we're yet again looking to hire a new pixel artist. Are you interested? Here's what we're looking for:

•Someone who can pixel...at least able to recolor rodents for simple flatsales and such.

• Someone who is willing and able to tag...often! You need to be able to check the thread and fill orders that are posted. You don't need to be on every single day, but often enough so that orders don't back up.

That's all we need, at the very least. If you're interested PLEASE post here or PM SqueakPixels so that I can get back to you.

So, why would anyone want to work here?
¤ Gold! You keep 90% of what you earn, which can add up to be a lot. The more you work, the more you earn! We keep track of orders in the mule's journal to ensure everyone gets their fair share of the shop's gold.

¤ Free pets! Whatever you want, if you tag it for yourself it's free. (Except for one-of-a-kind rodents, which cannot be duplicated, of course).

¤ You get sneak peeks of whatever new accessories, events and rodents the other employees are working on.

Before the shop can become active again, we need some new workers! I'm counting on you!

:: How to Order ::

Step One:: Make sure that orders are open. If no employee has orders/tagging open, your order will not get filled! You can check everyone's availability in the Workshop thread in the guild. Next, make sure the rodent you intend to purchase is available to you. Check the Sales post for available rodents. Rodents may also be available through the Limiteds, Flatsales & Events or Rodent Roulette posts, or even through contests, giveaways, and customs. Each rodent has a specific description, such as "Brown Hamster," or "Reverse Rainbow Mouse." It's this description that goes on the order form to indicate which rodent you want to purchase. Be sure to include the type of rodent you want.


Step Two:: Check out the Cage Accessories post and decide if you want to buy anything special to liven up the cage of the rodent(s) you've chosen. Think of a name and a gender for the rodent(s) you've picked. Pick a color for your pet's cage and it's tag.

Step Three:: Once you have all of the information you need, fill out this form and post it in this thread. Be sure you fill out everything correctly, and include an accurate total. Again, be sure you have confirmed that an employee is available to tag your order!

Step Four:: Wait for an available shop employee to quote the post containing your order form. When your order is confirmed, send the trade to the Squeak employee who quoted you. In your trade title, please post what page your order was QUOTED on. Do not send the trade before your order is confirmed, please! When your pet is ready, the tagger will confirm the trade. Once the trade is complete, your pet will be posted for you!

Step Five:: Enjoy your pet! Remember to host it to your own server once it has finished growing. If you don't host your own adult pet, you could lose it!

:: Breeding ::

In order to breed, you need two rodents that are of opposite sexes and of the same species.
Breeding will cost 1,000 gold. If two different user's pets are being bred, the entry fee can be split 50/50 or paid by one user. Three or four new rodents will be produced, they can be kept by the owner(s) or given away to a friend.
A breeding request form must be posted in this thread and quoted before you send any trades.

I would also like to ask that you only post one breeding request at a time and, please, do not post breeding requests with regular orders. Breedings, unlike regular orders, are unique and can take a lot of time. Multiple breedings are very demanding to complete! Because of this, it would be greatly appreciated if you could refrain from posting a new breeding request until your previous request has been filled and tagged.
