Q:How can I get one?
A:You can get one through a flat sale, a raffle, custom, or an auction.

Q:How much do they cost?
A:Flat sales are 3000G per creature, and you may only buy one per flat sale.

Q:Why are they so expensive?
A biggrin ue to the amount of work put into the pets.

Q:Can I have a discount?
A: No but good news theres is a payment plan, just PM me for it.

1- Read the rules, of course!
2- Be nice to all, no fighting! *waves finger*
3- Don't PM the owners saying 'I WANT ONE!!11one!!' or asking them to sell theirs... You'll only guarantee that you'll NEVER get one.
4- No spam. Spam is only good in the can, anything else here that's spam is against the rules.
5- Do NOT steal ANYTHING in this shop. If we catch you doing so, we'll cut out your spine with a spork and beat you with it!!
6- Read the rules before asking us ANYTHING. If you ask us something that's right here on the front page, we will NOT answer you.
7- You may bump, but not in excess. Lots of bumping will be counted as spam.

Stages of life

Pup- The first stage of your Draug's life. Hurray!

Since you have proved yourself a caring enough owner so far, your baby will look up to you as its parents. It will never forget the scent and appearance of its true birth parents, but it will still depend on you for everything. In this stage, your little Draug is very impressionable and picks up information fairly fast about the outside world.

Teen- Oh, those adolescent years Have fun with this. After a few more weeks of growing and learning, our draug should look something like this:

Draugs at this age tend to be mischievous and have a set personality. They love to play and frolic about. They need lots of room to run about and exercise themselves. They are bonded to you now, and see you as their best friend and "mommy"/"daddy". At this age, they are beginning to scout out other like themselves more openly since they are fairly self-sufficient. Don't be surprised if they disappear for a day or so to go hunting or to explore. Maybe they'll bring you a treat sometimes if you consider dead mice a treat, that is.

Adult- Congratulations! Your Draug has finally grown up into a fine adult.

Domestic Adult
Now they are fully bonded to you and will protect you with all their skills and be a longtime companion. However, at this age, they are also able to breed. Grown Draugs will be off on their own more, but will often urge you to tag along with them which can be a pain at times, particularly if they decide to root out a den or plunge into a river for some swimming. You have now a great friend who has gone through a lot with you and will always be there for you through thick and thin.

Wild Strain: The wild strain is the natural condition, and are omnivores. They are primarily carnivores when game is available, but can subsist off of plant matter during the harsh winters. They are very intelligent and powerful creatures, roaming in packs of 10-20 members with a strong heirarchial system of leadership. A few of them have been captured and broken, though if caught as adults, they can be very difficult to train. Originally, people took cubs from the wild and brought them up as fierce and loyal steeds.

Domesticated Strain: The domesticated versions have been selectively bred from captured wild strains. They are fiercely loyal, still quite intelligent and expressive. They have been bred to eat more grains in their diet, but are still much more expensive to care for than horses, requiring more protein. They can be trained to ride into battle, being as fierce as an opponent as the rider themself. They tend to bond very closely to their masters. Once bonded, they are generally best to not be traded or sold. They will protect their masters to the death in battle.

Flat Sales
Flat sales occur randomly. They're usually held on weekends.

Flat Sale Rules

1. You must show interest in the thread prior to participating in the flat sale!
2. The flat sale begins when I say GO, and not a moment before.
3. First come, first serve. Be sure to specify the pup you want!
4. Absolutely no editting or poor sportsmanship.
5. You may only get one. If you'd like to get a pup for somebody else, that's fine, but then you can't get one for yourself.

Raffles
Raffles are generally held right after a flat sale, usually with two characters per raffle, normally one male and one female. These are entirely free. You can get one ticket, for yourself or for a friend.

Auctions happen randomly, much like flat sales. They are usually the more 'rare' characters, themed characters, ect. Occasionally, I will hold a custom auction.

There comes a time in every Draugs life when they find that special someone and they wish to have a family with them. Draugs are monogamous, which means they have only one Bondmate for life. They are a fickle breed, and so their Bondmate has to be just right for them. It can't be a fleeting emotion; it has to be serious love for them to be able to breed. After some courting and play together, if two Draugs decide they love each other and are of age, then they may decide they want to breed and have a family.

Now, sometimes the two Draugs will visit the breeding center in Barton or perhaps they may even follow feral instincts and disappear to the wild and dig a den for their brood there. Whatever the case, in two weeks time from the breeding, your Draug's will return bearing gifts-they will have their litter of pups with them. A normal Draug litter consists of 2-4 pups. Ah, new life.

Breeding costs 3k-1.5k from each owner. Now, you may each (assuming there are two different owners) split the pups, or you may sell them back to the Barton Adotption facility at a rate of 1k per pup to be adopted out to new owners. You may NOT sell them to anyone else, but you may auction them off or give them to a friend. However, do remember that if you do auction them, we get 50% of the profits; it isn't fair that we do all the work and you make off with all the money, so we are entitled to our fair share. Anyone caught selling or auctioning off Draugs illegally will be blacklisted and will loose their Draug and their pups.

If you happen to be a single owner, breeding will be 4k-the higher price is to discourage single-owner breeding and to branch out to other owners. The same rules apply for the selling/auctioning of single-owner surplus orbs, and the same penalties for breaking the rules apply. Phew, with that said, here's the Breeding FAQ to sum anything else up:

"Rock the Cabana" FAQ:

Q: What's your stance on...er...homosexuality?
A: Tricky question...but two Draugs of the same gender cannot breed. Sorry, it's not that we're closed-minded but you can't have babies if you aren't properly equipped and we are not currently set up for artificial insemination at the moment.

Q: So that means my Draug can't be gay? Bigot homophobe.
A: Whoa, whoa, whoa...back up. Nothing was said about no homosexuality...just that they couldn't breed. Love is purely emotional and shouldn't be restricted to physical vessels but yeah...if you don't have the parts to have babies...you can't exactly birth them.

Q: 3k to breed??? Isn't that pricey?
A: Hm, not really. It's only 1.5k from each owner and it isn't that big of a bill, really. Unless you're a single owner.
