You had better follow these if you do not wish to be sprinkled with various food enhancers and fed to the weasels.
THE RULES
Read ALL the rules. Any rule-breaking will result in a warning, except when noted otherwise. A second infringement gets you blacklisted.
No excessive abbreviation. If ppl talk lyk this, they will be warned first, then blacklisted the second time.
Likewise, 1337 has no place in your order, and only a few words should be allowed in any regular conversation that goes on in this thread. See rule 1 for what I'll do to you.
My prices are MY call. Don't like 'em? Go somewhere else to get your artwork.
Homophobia, racism, etc. is NOT allowed. JUST ONE slur, INCLUDING misuse of the word 'gay,' will get you blacklisted. NO WARNING. Misuse of 'gay' is any use other than 'I am gay/my brother is gay/etc." or to mean "happy."
Too many emoticons in your post? See rule 1. 'Too Many' is defined as more than two or three in a row.
Page-stretching? No-no-no. See rule 1.
Type in decent grammar, people! Same goes for spelling! If you're not a native English-speaker or are dyslexic, tell me so I don't bite your head off. Failure to do so... see rule 1. Note: Chatspeak and 1337 are NOT PROHIBITED, provided it is clear they are used in jest!
Read the 'How To Order' post! ALL of it, dammit!
BLACKLIST
hirolovessango - Art theft! Believe it or not, this guy presented me with one of my own edits as an edit reference, claiming that "his brother's friend" did it.
[. Mr.Poky .], Darklotus65, Darklotus67, & Drage3000 - A whole band of edit theives, possibly the same guy. Stole my wings and took credit for 'em in a petition to make 'em a real Gaian item. Fortunately, they never could get the scanlines off xd So if you see anyone with scanline-striped versions of my wings, let 'em know that whoever sold 'em didn't make 'em - I did.
Indefinite Decisions - Art theft again. Took my ninja mouth wraps and started SELLING THEM in his own shop. b*****d.
yushimaru_shikimari - Caught selling my wings.
Shugo_922 - See above thief.
WHITELIST
e.n.t.r.o.p.y - Read the front page TWICE to make sure he didn't screw up his order!

PREMADE EDITS
AKA, Quick Gold for Lucca
All premade edits are 500 gold each, except as noted in their descriptions. The scanlines are there as a protective measure only - your edit will not have them.
If you wish to combine two premade edits (for example, getting both wings and a Prism Dress), then it costs 100 gold for each additional item beyond the first. Ergo, two-in-one would be 600 gold, and three-in-one would be 700.
Color alterations are free, and for edits with alterations of more than one color (for example, if you want brown-and-gold hawk wings instead of white angel wings, or green wings and a white ninja mask), the price is 50. If you only want to alter the color of PART of the edit, that counts as a two-color alteration!
There is NEVER a waitlist for premade edits, since they are so easy to do!
Prism Dress

The Prism Dress, from the video game Chrono Trigger. Female avatars only - if you're male and you want this, it'll be a male head pasted onto a female body.
Items not to wear when ordering this:
-Shirt
-Pants
-Dresses
Wings

Currently, there are two styles available: Angelic and Demonic. Specify which in your order, and whether you want one-side only, one of each (specify which is on which side), or a different color.
Wings can be added to front-kneeling avatars, but not back poses yet. They are available to both genders.
Items not to wear when ordering this:
-Fairy wings
-Butterfly Mantilla
-Lunar Cloaks in any but the default 'down' position
-Guitars in the 'wing' position
Female Tuxedo

A swallowtail tux for the ladies. Great for same-sex weddings. Note: Color alterations that affect only the cummerbund of this edit do not cost any extra, as black and white are unaffected my my method of color-change.
Items not to wear when ordering this:
-Jackets
-Shirts
-Pants
-Shoes
-Socks
Pink Link

Get your very own Pink Link for 100 gold. No alterations available for this one, be it color, combination with another edit, or otherwise. What you see is what you get, except purchased ones won't have scanlines.
Dancer's Outfit

Ever needed to dance for your local disgusting crime lord, but had nothing at all to wear? Taken directly from designs by Vogga the Hutt, this one should be perfect for your needs. Now available in a second design - Jabba's! The best part about these is that you can mix and match 'em - boots, top, and bottom, or leave one out in favor of a real Gaian item! Specify which piece is from Vogga's design (left) or Jabba's design (right). Male customers for this are female from the knees down unless they don't want the boots!
Items not to wear when ordering this:
-Shirts (I'm capable of getting rid of the default bra in Photoshop)
-Pants (As ith bras, I can remove default underwear)
-Shoes
-Nitemare Bustier OKAY (goes underneath quite nicely)
-Angelic Camisole OKAY FOR VOGGA'S DESIGN ONLY (goes underneath)
Stormtrooper
Darth Vader Wants YOU! Gun not optional.
Items not to wear when ordering this:
Anything EXCEPT head/face items, capes, back-mounted items, or wings.
Ninja Mask

Whether you're of the Leaf, the Sand, the Sound, the Gaioh, or what have you, here's a mask to conceal your identity. Sharingan eyes available for this one at no extra charge - specify left or right if you want one. Gaia ninja bands can also be included, with a 20g fee for changing the symbol (from Gaia wing to leaf, note, hourglass, etc.) if you want that done. This mask is skintight, and will tuck under clothing. Available to both genders, front poses only. Oh, and if you want the mask, and only the mask, in the original black, it's 200 gold instead of 500!
Items not to wear when ordering this:
-Animal masks
-Cigarettes/pipes/etc.
-Scarves
-Bani/Chickie/Kitsune mask OKAY (edit tucks under)
-Headbands (if you want the ninja headband included)
Mage Set

The first all-original premade outfit available in Lucca's shop! This one's a bit special - I wanted to try my hand at making a full set of new possible Gaia items, in the same style as the store. The Mage Set includes:
-Top: Available in Fire (orange), Wind (blue), Water (green), and Earth (brown)
-Pants: Available in Fire, Wind, Water, and Earth
-Cape: Available in Fire, Wind, Water, and Earth. Hood may be on or off, regardless of gender.
-Shoes: One style
-Gloves: One style
-Belt: One style
-Collar: One style
-Circlet: One style
You may purchase pieces of the set, rather than the whole, for 100 gold each, at a maximum of 500 gold (that means that the last three parts are free, not that they can't be bought). You may also mix-and-match as much as you like. Should you desire any colors other than those pictured here, that requires the standard 50 gold extra for multicolor alterations.
Captain Set

Arrrrrr. This li'l beauty 'ere works t'same way as ye Mage Set.
All ye pieces but those thar boots come in Blood, Sea, an' Night. They be these:
-Jacket
-Shirt (Always white - color is sash)
-Hat (Night hat has white feather)
-Pants
-Boots (Black only)
An' jes like before, each piece costs 100 doubloons, ye can mix-and-match, and colors ye don' see 'ere cost 50 more.

CUSTOM EDITS
Edit prices vary by complexity. The least-expensive and least-complicated ones cost 1000 to 2000, and the really complicated, really detailed ones that make Lu's eyeballs pop and fingers cramp can cost more than 5000 if they're really, really hard. Repositioning the body of an avatar alone is enough to stick it in the 'really complicated' category.
Examples:
would be in the 1000-2000 category (this edit was harder than it looked!)
would be close to the middle.
would be in the 5000+ category.
A full list of every halfway-decent avatar Lu has ever edited can be found at Lucca's edit museum.
Waiting List
Time I take depends on complexity of the edit. I tend to work fast when I set my mind to it. However, since I do have a life outside of editing (that would be schoolwork, love, Star Wars, and my drawings), it might be a while, especially on weekends.
1 Kiddo the Fox-Phoenix (p.115)
2 Darth Iori (p.12 cool
3 TheEveoftheNight (p.14 cool
4 NessyBaby (p.175)
5 Angel Natavi (p.175)
6 [ Suyapa ] (p.207)

If you want something like THAT... make me an offer, and be prepared to pay through the nose. It'll be well over 5000.

Okay, listen up. If you don't follow these guidelines, you get nothing.
First off, POST IN THE THREAD. DO NOT PM YOUR ORDER. Don't worry, I'll see you. Just give me a prod if I miss ye. As long as you don't PM me with a prod. There is a reason for this - my inbox fills very fast, and a PM is very likely to get lost while I clean it out, whereas thread posts are forever! Hint: Frame your order in 'Ornate' or 'Document' mode so I can pick it out easily!
Second, keep checking back in the thread. Lu's PM box fills up fast enough as it is, so any questions she has concerning your order will be posted IN THE THREAD.
For Custom Jobs
Tell me whether or not you want to keep your own eyes, hair, face, etc. If you don't say so, Lu will go full-out and make the whole thing, and it won't be you. Again, this excepts premade edits. IF you want some other existing Gaian item included in your edit (a whip, headband, or anything else, really), YOU MUST PROVIDE A BASE WITH THOSE ITEMS!
Give me references. That's full-body references, showing EVERYTHING that will be on the edit. Unless, of course, you ask for a premade one. References should be a front or a three-quarter view. Official artwork, if it is available, is preferred.
Excellent reference
Good reference
Mediocre reference - not a good angle
Mediocre reference - small, can't see much detail
Mediocre reference - feet are cut off (if feet were shown, would be excellent)
Bad reference - missing lower third of body
Don't give me this - I can't see a thing!
Or this - not in color!
And please, for the love of gods, make sure I can differentiate outlines. Darth Iori, this means you. Also, if you give me multiple references for one character, have them all be the same outfit (exception: if you want one person's face and another person's clothes, or somesuch).
Payment: Lu will give you a price quote. Once the price is decided, you may start a trade whenever you wish. Lu will confirm it as soon as she sees it, and you may re-confirm it whenever you wish - Lu understands if you don't want to re-confirm until you actually get the edit.
And if the waitlist is full, don't expect to get anything. Just don't post if there's no more room. If you do decide to post anyway, I will try to remember to insert you into the ext open waitlist slot, but don't expect miracles - my memory is awful.

For Premade Edits
Simply tell me which you want, and give me an image of the avatar you want me to edit. I'll slap it together and PM it to you, and you can pay me then. The prices are fixed, but if you need any help with the math, I'll check it for you.
You need to provide a base. More on bases below.
Rule of thumb: Imagine the item you want is a real Gaian item. If anything you're wearing would, in an ideal (glitch-free) avatar system, interfere with any item on the edit you're ordering, take that item off of the base you provide. Likewise, if you can't picture them together even if they take up different body slots, take off the item. Details on what items may or may not be worn are in the edit descriptions, but the descriptions don't cover everything - just use common sense.
There is no waitlist for premade edits. Even if my 'custom' waitlist is full, you may still order a premade one.

Multiple Edits In One Order
This IS allowed, and there is no limit. However, there IS a catch. I will not do all of your edits at once, and I will not send them to you until they are ALL finished. If you order three edits, for instance, when you get to Slot One On The Waitlist, I will make ONE of your edits, then an edit for Slot Two. Then I will make ONE MORE of your edits, then an edit for the guy who is now in Slot Two (or, if Customer 2 ordered multiples too, one for Slot Three). Then, once I have finished your third edit, I remove you from the waitlist and PM all three to you, and a new slot opens.
Also, if you haven't received your edit yet, you may amend your order by adding or removing desired edits. Please do this by editing your original post so that they all remain in one place, then making a new post informing me that your order has been changed.

FAQ
About Lucca
Are you really The Original Gaian Ferret?
I haven't had anyone challenge my title yet, so I suppose I am. However, ths question is a bit sticky because as of Saturday, October 29, 2005, I discovered that Salen-Stormwing has been a ferret on Gaia for only slightly less time than I, and has been identifying himself as a ferret online for even longer. So I'm really not sure. At any rate, I thought of the idea myself, and I have a couple ferrety followers so far.
Really? Whom?
Kirara-yasha is a ferretcat and Darth Iori morphs between ferret and human. Salen-Stormwing isn't really a follower, but like I said, he's a ferret too, so I feel obligated to mention him.
Ferret count: Four.
Can I be a ferret too?
But of course! It can be a bit expensive because of the Were Tail, but the rest of the things you need are all store items - Reindeer Mask, Cat Band or head-covering hat, Mod Squad or Zorro Mask, and some way of making your hands and feet black. For hands, this can be black gloves, or a Radicool shirt if you're male. For feet, it's black shoes - or black socks/stockings if you want to wear sandals! And of course, if you become a Disciple of the Ferret, I will list you up in the previous question. And ferret hybrids are accepted!
What's your favorite video game?
Chrono Trigger, if you couldn't tell from the username! Also, I love The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind and Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic I & II.
Do you only do edits?
Actually, I draw lots and lots, and have a DeviantART account. I don't do avatar art on request anymore, because it took up too much of my time.
How do you DO that?
My artistic tools are printer paper, a mechanical pencil, a scanner, a WACOM tablet, and Adobe Photoshop. But of course, since edits are what you order from this shop, it's only the tablet and Photoshop I use for your stuff. Here is a very long, but very complete tutorial of how I make edits!
A/S/L?
You had better not be hitting on me. But for what it's worth, I'm eighteen, female, and I go to college at Clark University in Worcester, MA.
Will you donate to me?
Hey, I barely scrape out a living myself! I have occasionally donated things to people I like, but asking for a handout is a sure way NOT to get one. Unless your username is Dias Amastacia. You can have anything you want, Dias. heart
OMG, have my babies!
I'm flattered, but I must decline,a s I am already madly in love with Dias Amastacia, and naturally monogamous. Sorry, fanboys.
About Lucca's store policies
Hey! I'm on the blacklist! I'm sorry! What can I do to make you sell stuff to me again?
It depends upon what it is that you did. If you stole art, then your chances are next to nil. If you stole art and started SELLING it, your chances are exactly nil. However, if your crime was lesser, and you show signs of truly changing for the better, I will consider your offer.
Can I get a premade edit from you put on a base from someone else?
Sure, if you get the permission of whomever made the base! If you made it yourself, no problem. If you bought the base from someone, I take no responsibility for any trouble you get into with the base's creator, since I ask their permission. It's YOUR FAULT if you don't get it.
Can I buy an edit from you, then take it to someone else to add another piece?
Well, I'd like a link to the shop of whomever is adding this 'other piece.' Once I check that person out, we'll talk. Mainly, I want to be sure that the ferret logo with my initials remains in full view, and is easy to see. And please, if you do this, have the other person be at least at a similar skill level, though style may be different. (Example of equal skill level and similar style: Meriko. Example of equal skill level and different style: NoFlutter. These are not the only people - use your own judgment as to who does the same quality work as I.)
Will you promise to never re-sell the custom avatar edit you made for me?
Well, if it's your original character, you're home free - that character belongs to you and you alone, and you only paid me to render him or her! If it's some well-known character like Sephiroth (or not-so-well-known character like Riff), then you'll have to pay me at least 5000 for a custom pose, because it's not fair for you to be the ONLY PERSON ON GAIA with that character edited by me.
What constitutes 'multi-color recoloring' on a premade edit?
Well, I'll use wings as an example here. If you want angel wings that are black and red, that is obviously a multi-color job. However, even if you're only changing one color, it might still be classified as a multi-color job: For instance, if you want angel wings with some feathers in the original white and some in black, that requires just as much work as red and black.
Can you re-color something on an edit you've already sold?
Yes. Only 50 gold. Still 50 if it's a multicolor thing.
How do I post my base for premade or custom edits?
Step one: Go to your inventory, and hit 'Unequip All.'
Better step one: Go to http://www.tektek.org/dream/ and select your base, eyes, mouth, and hair. This way is preferred, since with this version, I don't have to remove underwear myself.
Step two (optional): Equip any of the items that you own and want to be wearing in the edit (usually head and face items).
Step three: Save the avatar for the time being. If you used the Tektek avatar simulator, skip this step.
Step four: Right-click your newly-saved avatar (or, if you used Tektek, the avatar that you built) and save it to your computer. You can put your clothes back on now.
Step five: Go to Tinypic.com, and click the button that says 'Browse.' Find the avatar you jsut saved to your computer, click it, and click the 'Open' button. Click the 'Host Image' button. Once it loads, your base should appear at the bottom of the page, next to a bunch of text boxes. Copy the code in the box labeled 'Img,' and paste it into your order form.
Can I wear your avatar edits on my actual Gaia avatar?
Unfortunately, no. I do not have the power to make real Gaian items - I'm not an admin, after all! Not yet, anyway... ohohohoho! You can display the edits in your signature, on your website, or in any post you have made in a Gaia thread you have made. In all these cases, I must be given credit for creating the image. My logo counts for this, so any cases where a different artist is given credit for creating an image containing my logo will be considered art theft.
Can I take your logo off? I don't like it.
Absolutely not! That logo is my sole measure to prevent theft of my finished edits, and may not be removed under any circumstances. Any edit of mine that does not contain my ferret logo with the letters "LA" will be considered stolen, unless, like many of my older edits, it says "Lucca Ashtear <year>" instead.
I've bought an edit from you - can I take pieces of it to use in my own edits?
Again, absolutely not! This is art theft no matter how you look at it, even if the pieces are edited (rotated, recolored, resized, etc.) so that they are no longer exactly what I drew. As is any editor, I am saddened by the theft of my work, and wish to bring the thieves to justice.
Can I use your edits as references for my own edits?
Yes. You may look at my edits for inspiration all you want, and you may study my technique in attempt to copy it. I would be flattered, really. But be warned, I can tell if a piece is copied by hand or directly snipped from my own edit - I have a very practiced eye!
I think I found someone who stole your edit!
Well, tell me! If the edit in question is indeed stolen from me, and you can give me proof (a link to the thief's profile if it's a signature image, or a link to their post if it's not), then I will look into the theft. If it is indeed stolen from me, I give you my congratulations for catching the thief, and one Credit. Three credits get you a free edit valued at 4500 gold or less.
You made a mistake in the edit I ordered!
Oops. My fault. If any edit I make for you is unsatisfactory, I will correct it, free of charge. If this 'mistake' is the omission of an item I did not know was meant to be included, then I may charge up to 200 gold for the correction, depending on the item in question.
Your waitlist is full. Will you PM me when a spot opens up?
No. I try to take care of my customers, but I can't do everything. Just keep checking back in the thread. It'll be even easier if you subscribe to it - the button's at the bottom of the page!
God, what's taking so long? Get to my order already!
I'm probably busy in real life! Just be patient - I'll see you eventually. I check EVERY PAGE of my shop.
I can't afford your edits. Do you know any other good editors?
Well, my style is my own, so you won't get EXACTLY what I sell from anyone else. But Meriko and Kimini are close to my talent-level, charge half as much for premade edits, and a bit less for customs. They take longer, though! Saga has a very different style from mine (more cartoony and cel-shaded), but is The King of Poses in my book, and is one of my editing idols... and charges a fraction of what I do. Carandra is another great Avatar Poser, and is slightly closer to my style than Saga is, for a similar price. Hey, why am I telling you all this...? Heh, probably 'cause they're my friends.
