1. edit theif is not tolerated... i know most of all the naruto edits made and i'll know if your stealing.
2. no flaming... and please don't spam...if you want to exchange banners just ask...
3. please don't pm me with questions... put them in the thread. and only pm me entries if you want a watermarked version to be displayed in my gallery.
4. must be at least 5 entries from 5 different gaians in order for prize to be given.

Q: when you say with naruto... what do you mean?
A: the character naruto... himself... must be in the edit.... ALL EDITS FOR ANY PART OF THIS CONTEST MUST BE FROM THE TV SHOW NARUTO.

Q: what will you do with the edits?
A: i will be putting any edits entered into this contest into my edits collection. yes your name will be below the edit and will have a link to your store (if you have one)
sidenote: i will be putting them in my gallery as soon as you enter them. instead of waiting for the end of the contest. so this will help to advertise

Q: can i enter any edit?
A: no. i'm specifically looking for naruto edits. if you want to do an edit of naruto and another character that is fine, but naruto must be in the edit.
A: #2...ok i've added a second category for all the other characters from naruto. so if you have other edit from naruto the series you've been hiding...now's the time to bring them out.

Q: can i sell the edit after this contest...or is it just for you?
A: yes. you can sell it. i don't want to hog naruto all to myself.. xd (in fact you can start selling it right after you enter it.)

Q: can i enter an edit i already have in my shop?
A: if it's one i have not already purchased yes.

Q: how can i sell an edit if you have it in your gallery?... people will just take it
A: if you want i would be willing to keep the watermarked version of your edit in the gallery, and if you also enter a non-watermarked one that i will keep on my computer for my own enjoyment.

Q: where should i post my edits? so no one just takes them?
A: if you are worried about entering an edit without a watermark in the thread. you can pm the entry to me.

Q: is there a fee?
A: of course not...

Q: am i allowed to ask more questions?
A: why yes... you are.

Q: umm... jenru why don't you use caps when you type? 0.o
A: lazy... (though no one's ever really noticed)

Q: why are the prizes so low?
A: mostly because custom edits will cost anywhere from 500g-6k..(depending). and these edits can be resold.... so i feel the amount is just right.

recommendations
1. don't mimic the naruto edit i've already done...
2. i like variety so try to change it up a bit
a. design you own naruto clothes. something you think he would wear.
b. he does change his clothes (though not often...) try to use some of those too.
c. he doesn't need to be wearing the head band... he can have the goggles... or nothing(on his head stare ... he must be clothed...). be creative
d. don't feel like you have to change your personal edit style just for this contest...(that would defeat the point of the contest xp )
3. if you want to or feel comfortable doing so, try to change up the pose a little. standard standing edits can be really cool, but it's always fun to see something different too.
4. try and make the edit reflect the personality of naruto...if you can
5. incorporate different themes from the story or various art from the series
6. let characters play off of each other..(react, etc...)
7. don't be afraid to enter an edit just because you think someone else has one that's "better" . remember i'm the one judging it. and you can never be sure what i'll like the best...(though if it's naruto i know i'll like it)
8. try to have a signature or something that is unique to you on the edit(well on the side)... this isn't something i require or anything... but is just a general recommendation when editing...(when i see it 3 months from now... let me know who did it just by looking at it.)


for non-naruto edits
alot of the same things apply.... there will only be one prize since it's not the focus of the contest... in character edit are always great to see....

oh another thing...if you are creating other character edits for the contest. try to do ones most people leave out...

for naruto art contest
1. try to be creative... meaning
a. do alternative universe pictures (example...naruto as a kitty or a cowboy)
b. if you have multiple characters... try to have them interacting with one another.
c. have fun. design your own clothes
2. try to keep the attititudes faithful to the characters
3. let your style shine!! this is the best time to let people know how you draw so don't try to mimic the comic or anime style. do it your way.
