She may be quiet on the outside, but she is rather stubborn and unyeilding. She and daniel get into arguments because of he stubborn nature.

Melissa is a beautiful young actress living in the outskirts of Manhattan. In social situations, she's very shy and she's quite an introvert. However, she loves to sing, and opera is her greatest passion. On stage her shy nature doesn't show at all.Although Melissa is a shy woman, she has aspired to be an actress since she was very young. When she first learned of opera, she made it her ultimate goal to play the lead in a major opera. So determined was she that she even stated "I'll even sell my soul to the devil if I have to." A rather omenous statement. Much stood in the way of her dream, though. Since early childhood, she was constantly ill. She was always carried a multitude of medications which her, which ranged from immunosuppressants to simple pain killers. At one point, she even required a kidney transplant. But on November 17, 1997, Melissa finally got her wish, as she was cast to play the lead in the annual Christmas Opera. The only drawback was that another actress by the name of Suzanne was double-cast along with her. They were both set to play the lead.
On December 11, Suzanne mysteriously died in an 'apartment fire'. Initially, Melissa felt she may have been in some way responsible for her death; "Is it because I wanted the part so bad? God forgive me." The following week, Melissa was given the leading role, and a concert solo. Unfortunately, Melissa wasn't feeling well. She'd collapsed during rehearsal on more than one occaision, and she reported feeling weak. But because she wanted so desperately to play her role in the opera, she simply took more of her medication (immunosupressants to deal with her kidney transplant). On the night of Christmas Eve, she took an enourmous dose of her medication, which led to the surfacing of Eve in her body during the play.

Description
Eve is a parasite living within the cells of a beautiful aspiring actress named Melissa Pearce. On Christmas Eve of 1997, the night of Melissa's first major opera performance, Eve surfaced during Melissa's solo. The actors and audience around her began to burn, and she continued to sing. As her solo ended the actress laughed at the scene of death, and took her leave.
Eve fully surfaced in the girl and took complete control of her body. She mutated it into a terrifying form with arms as long as her body, and claws that resemble massive blades. With the mutation came the ability to make people burn and mutated the cells of animals, turning them into violent monstrosites.

Aya is a NMC Hunter working in the M.I.S.T department of the FBI, she used to be a NYPD officer until the Mitochondria Eve Incident in New York when with her help and the navy bought down Eve. At the same time of Eve's arriving, Aya's mitochondria also awoke, making her much stronger than the average person and appear much younger than her real age.
As well as that, Aya can use mitochondria powers, such as the Pyrokinesis and healing abilities. After the New York Incident, Aya left the NYPD for the safety of her colleagues and was recruited to join M.I.S.T.
Pierce D. Carradine

Pierce is the ace at information gathering, he used to be a illegal hacker but now works for M.I.S.T in intelligence but still uses his skills to find out what he needs. He is a loner and has few friends, he has taken a liking to Aya as they both joined M.I.S.T at the same time. Pierce, even tho being a hacking genesis knows nothing about guns and finds it hard to protect himself against NMC.
Kyle Madigan

A mysterious individual claiming to be a private detective.
Little is known about Kyle, he appears out of nowhere during Aya's investigation and offers to assist her. His motives are unclear but he seems to know alot about NMCs. He claims to be a private detective but his real occupation and his ability to find a mass amount of weapons seems unclear.
