The short gist of it is that the Clans really are aliens! Not aliens as we see them today, but more like 1950's horror aliens! Complete with Evil Overlords! 3nodding

Port Arthur
3062 June 05
City of Karvash

“What are you seeing, Vasquez?”

“You sure this is a P.O.W Camp, sir?”

“Quite sure. Those Clanner bastards own the place. Happy Fun Time Brain Bugs everywhere!” Colonel Shiro said. Shiro was in a dropship in the outskirts of the P.o.W, safely ensconced in the command center aboard the Overlord, which was designated simply as OL-1.

“The DCMS branch of the SLDF gave us a squad of those Kanazuchi Close Assault Suits.” Kasgrin said, pointing to a different monitor. A truck sat outside the entrance, where four of the familiar walking bricks of armor stood. Each Kanazuchi was equipped, however, with quad machine guns, and a pair of Heavy Vibro Battle Claws, capable of tearing apart mech armor, ferrocrete, an Elemental's hide... bone, flesh, whatever the wearer decided. A pair of Infantry Gauss Rifles, one on each claw, sat on it. A mech class machine gun sat under the battle claw, while the two in the torso sat on either side of the head module. The miniature mech had even more armor then its predecessor, and could even withstand a Heavy Large Laser, with armor to spare.

If it weren't for the Shiro's Wyverns combat doctrine of high mobility warfare, and their lack of heavy assault assets, Kasgrin wouldn't have taken them. But this was what they were perfect for.

He watched Vasquez's video feed, and she entered a dark area, full of glowing tanks. The camera approached one, and then jerked away before Kasgrin could get a good look at what was inside. He heard the mic shuffle as apparently Vasquez ripped her face mask away, and heard the distant sound of retching and a quiet splashing noise. The mic strained to pick up her labored breathing, and there was more sound as she put her facemask on, and the camera went back up to the tank.

Kasgrin wished he could look away, but he forced himself to look at it, and he felt his stomach wanting to forcibly vacate its contents onto the console in front of him, and all over the poor tech under him.

It was a woman, or he thought it was. She had undergone... that cruel and brutal process they call... surgury. The woman no longer had legs, or arms for that matter. No need for those to become an Iron Womb. A number of displays showed the unfortunate woman's vitals, along with a second set... third set... sixth set... twelfth set... Her distended and bloated abdomen had a dozen other life forms within it, and the camera looked around, and the twenty tanks in the room all had the same thing. The woman's eyes opened, and a stump reached for the tank glass, reaching for help, mouthing something, pleading with her eyes to kill her and end this tortured existence.

“My god. I watched the training vids, but... I didn't...” Vasquez said quietly.
“I know.”
“Wait, somebody's here...”
She said, backing out of the room. He saw the corner of her blazer appear, the barrel restlessly scanning the room. The camera flipped to infrared as did her own vision as she knocked down her infrared goggles to peer around the room. Most of it was bathed in the yellows and oranges of the life support machinery in question, but there was movement behind the tanks. The cool blazer rifle was raised up, and temporarily blinded the camera as the double barrel blazer unleashed death. It was too big to be human, Kasgrin was honest. Oh frak. That's an Elemental!

“Get those Kanazuchis in there NOW!” Kasgrin bellowed, nearly jumping up, his eyes glued to the display. The Blazer found home, but the Elemental ignored it and charged after her, his form shifting to low and fast, not bothering with his mech class laser rifle. Vasquez was clad in heavy firefight plating, but it didn't matter. A sickening crunch told Kasgrin all he needed to know, as its mass found home, crushing Vasquez against a wall with all 1000 kgs of meat, bone and blood. Vasquez's life signs went from strong to barely alive, with her pulse a quarter of what it was.

The comm tech emotionlessly flashed to a Kanazuchi's gun cam, who had his improved sensor suite locked on. He walked through a wall, and started shooting at the Elemental. All four machine guns howled with brutality as the Elemental ducked under the stream of fifty caliber death, and ran low and fast, using the tanks as cover. Bullets blew apart bodies and parasites, as the bullets tracked the Elemental. A few seconds from two of the machine guns threw the elemental into some machinery. The Elemental's flesh won out against machinery, and watching from Vasquez's helmet cam, watched the two ton knight approaching his foe. The Kanazuchi brought a machine gun in line with the Elemental's head, before it reached up and wrenched the arm away, its other arm clawing for the laser rifle. It stepped into the Kanazuchi's reach, and drew the Mech Class Laser Rifle. The elemental grinned blood lust as it put the rifle to the cockpit and pulled the trigger.

Dismay filled its face as it realized that it was going to take a lot more then a puny rifle, which melted some armor and burned some paint to bring it down. It then set about dismantling the suit.

The Kanazuchi pilot was expecting this, and drew the elemental into a massive bear hug, firing both machine guns into its chest as face, blood splattering the plasteel cockpit, and ruining whatever mug its designers wanted. Cat like features, apparently. The elemental howled in pain and shoved the suit away with all the force of a wounded animal, before being filled with drugs that made it hyper aggressive, and throwing itself back at the Kanazuchi, screeching a War cry, and swiped the Kanazuchi. Massive claws peeled armor away from one of the sides, while the Kanazuchi responded in kind. A Heavy Vibro Claw lopped its left arm off at the elbow, in a scissor like fashion, and the pilot drove his other claw at the Elemental like a five pointed spear. It deflected the spear, and struck again, clawing at the plasteel, knowing that the squishy pilot inside was its only way to victory.

The Kanazuchi pilot had enough, and picked up the elemental, all 1000 kg of alien soldier, and activated both claws, and pulled.

Pieces were sawed off the elemental, and in a final, howling scream of agony, split in half as the Kanazuchi completed its movement.

“Target down. Room secure, sir. Shall we continue with the recon?”

“Proceed, and good hunting.”

Battletech rocks. That's a pretty cool twist you got there.

Note. I'd like to say that I was in no way responsible for creating the They Invade! setting. It's a fan project a friend of mine is writing.
