Porn talk2hand I don't even like the word. I mean to me porn is all about making the male superiour, female inferiour and in the worst case, animals equal. It gives young men the worst kind of image about sex and it puts pressures on their girls. I mean no one can win Jenna Jameson(?) or any other hot professional pornstar. I know that. I don't like porn, I think it's disgusting.

I mean, you can have your own personal opinion, but please don't generalize all porn as one way. What about gay porn? What about genuine lesbian porn?
I think it all depends on the movie, really

Of course gay porn is different. But I was talking about your average exploitment porn. It gives unrealistic image of sex and sexuality. I mean how many of us have heard this: "I saw this in a flick, can we try it?" from our boyfriends? Media is full of pure porn nowadays and that gives our bodies and minds a whole new set of shackles. We're expected to look and act like those ladies in the videos. They don't do it for fun, they do it for money and they have to do it just because the society doesn't give them any other choice. Just like prostitution.

Technically the stuff they do in porn is not as pleasurable as the actors make it look like, simply because it's made to look good not necessarily feel good. Like eating out. There's only so much you can do with half of your tonge sticking out! But that's so that the audience can 'see' what you're doing.
Also, there's so little porn catered to women. Evertything is 'man ******** woman' never the other way around. If there is one woman and many man, than she's a slut cause she's being passed around, is it ever that they are her man servants and she's using them to please herself? no.
When there is one man and many women, he's always 'going around' to ******** each of them in a row. All porn except for femdom is male centered, and femdome caters to too few people.

So what we're saying is that porn is not disgusting, but the way women are portrayed in porn.
Most movies have violence, but does that mean that the movie is bad? Rather, isn't it how violence is overused in movies that is wrong?

Sex and violence shouldn't be mixed. That's just my opinion and that's because I'm totally anti-violence in every situation. I just don't understand all these 'whip me, smack me' things, not at all. The one you love (I'm straight edge so I don't believe in one night stands and random hookups like that) shouldn't hurt and actually get pleasure from hurting you.

While a lot of porn has violence in it, the majority that I watch (which is a lot), does not. I would say a lot of it belittles women, but does not portray violence. We may have to go into our definition of violence with this one.

It all has to do with hormones. Men have more testosterone than women. I also heard from my brother and my best friend that if they get too horny, they can use porn to relieve their stress. I personally don't find a problem with it as long as the porno shows mutualism. The male dominance and rape really bothers me

Another thing I should add as a history lesson. Bach in the 1950's women were viewed as baby-makers and house cleaners. The average age for a man to see a woman naked was at the age of 19 after marriage. They married young, poor and had kids. On top of that, the birth rate was astronomical. then a magazine called Playboy came along and eventually pre-teen boys would start to see these magazines and soon enough, the sex rate and birth rate went down (Due to the demand of Birth control pills and condoms) Then the 70's came along and women became more prevalent in the workforce and stay at home parents almost died off. So in reality, porn helped women into jobs.

"Men have more testosterone so it's okay for them to be more aggressive and look at porn." Kind of reminds me of, "Men show their emotions through physical activity, so it's okay for a man to hit his wife when he's angry at her."

I really think it depends what your watching. There is a lot of dumb stereotypical stuff and really strange stuff. (I work at a video store with porn, don't ask).
But I donno. I'm someone who think that women should be able to choose what they want to do, and if that is porn or stripping or "escorting" so be it. Its up to them to decide, although I do also think there should also be social supports for women so they don't get forced into it.
Personally, I'm in the "Sex is better, porn is a poor time waster at best" camp. So far as my guy goes, eh. He can do what he likes. We've got decent enough communication to work though either of our desires to try stuff as it comes up.

Last time I checked, it was ok for a woman to hit a man, but not a man to hit a woman because "Women are the weaker sex". The world is confusing xd

With violence I mean sexual violence like rape and mutilation. I have to admit though that I don't understand Bondage/SM at all. Some of the decent fetish outfits are cool but most of them go totally...well...let's just say that I don't understand the whole thing. To me sex isn't even important, it's just a form of physical love and the natural way to make babies. It's not a big deal in my relationships. I'm not A sexual or anything, I like sex but I don't understand why people make it such a big deal.

I like when my girlfriend says that! How is it bad that your lover wants to experiment with something seen in a movie or in a photo gallery?
I do agree that the vast majority of women in porn do it because they don't see any other options. But there are sex workers who enter into that career because they genuinely enjoy it. I don't mean enjoy the sex, exactly, but they are comfortable working in the sex industry and doing what they can to improve it. These women are few and far between, but they can't be ignored.
I watch porn. Hell, I watch a LOT of porn! Only about 1/3 of it I watch for sexual relief (yes, it is a great stress reliever), the rest my friends and I watch for humor. Horny guys are by no means the only consumers
