this is my story, not based off of anything else. kind of long, but i hope you like it smile

Unnamed

Many years in the future, an alien race will visit our planet, asking for help. We accepted to help them if the share their knowledge of technology. That was a mistake. The first month we were attacked by an army of sheer numbers and power. Our colony planet of Nare5 was completely obliterated. We have been allied with the race of the Zaptans for years, trying to keep back the group that call themselves the federation. This is the story of a small group of amateur pilots and soldiers, who will be the hope of the Allied Space Forces.

Chapter 1
The first battle

Sitting comfortably in the pilot’s seat, Jared Finda lays his hands on the ship controls, ready to launch his fighter. The Intercom crackles,” All ships, launch for battle! I repeat, Launch for battle!
His HUD springs to life while it spews information about the ship that Jared easily scans. Hitting a few switches and colored buttons, the fighter’s engines roar to life, and the roar turns to a constant hum when he begins cruising toward the target.
“Fighters, pick your marks and fire for maximum effect!”The captains voice crackled over the intercom, as hundreds of tags appeared on his HUD. Pilots marking their targets, the strength of the targets showed up on every HUD in the fleet. “NOW!”
Bullets spewed from the firing compartments as Jared’s gunners open fired, tacking the side of the ship and exploding from the inside. The first target was torn to pieces by the merciless barrage of three different turrets firing explosive rounds into the hull. The star fighters were torn to pieces as Jared flies to give his gunners the best shots available. A laser round from the space station slams into the enemy ships, frying the shields, and then melting the hull. The laser stops as the ship seems still, and then an explosion so loud that it rocked space itself.
“Jared, we can’t get any shots from down here, can you move it in closer?” Questioned Jamie; the gunner captain.
“Negative, any closer and the stars will rip us to shreds, plus we’ve been called to escort a boarding team to the enemy ship.”
“Sir, bogeys at our flanks! I-I-I can’t get a lock!” Stammered his rear gunner Dok.
Dang! We’re taking too much damage!
“AUUUUGGGGHHHHHH!” Screamed Jane, his right gunner. No! Not Jane! A shudder rocked the ship, then the rear Engines exploded, along with Dok. The explosion sent the ship spiraling away from the escort vehicle, ending in a large and grisly explosion. The cockpit went dark. Dang it He thought. No medal for us I guess. The cockpit opened and Jared realized how much you can sweat when you are in a simulation.
“Too bad” commented Jamie. “We almost finished.”
“Yeah, it’s always is almost.” He says.

Chapter 2
Real Warfare

“Line up you maggots!” Ordered the Sergeant, and the crew quickly folded in to line. “You!” he said as he pointed to Dok. “You are the one that didn’t shoot the fighters when you had the chance!” He Shifted to Jared, “You didn’t use the maneuvers you were taught in flight school! You all wouldn’t last ten seconds in real space! Now start trying to survive!” and he walked off in a huff.
“Wow. That sergeant is tough.” said Ferrel.
“Don’t we know it” Jane replied. This was really surprising to Ferrel, because he is a raw recruit, but still very good. Right before we could say anything our beepers told us to go to the ship bay for a flight lesson. Not again. For kids the ship would be a fun place to play with no gravity and all.
On our way there the Siren just suddenly started blaring! “All pilots, man your battle stations. Enemies are jumping out of warp space! I repeat, Man your battle stations!”
“God” Jane commented as we started sprinting toward the bay. We have been trained as pilots and soldiers if the time comes. We settled in as the order came to lift off and attack. The enemy has fighters that can shoot out of launchers at a moment’s notice, giving them speed, while clouds of STAR fighters begin a barrage. There are droids that they launch in space to pick up debris that can be recycled into more fighters. The best thing to do is board and attack.
“Jared, get ready to board onto the ship”
“Aye sir” Swiftly maneuvering past clouds of STARs, Jared flips a switch and the boarding drill whirrs to a start.” Crew, Brace for impact!” He yelled into the intercom. With a sudden jolt, the ship slammed into the side of a ship as the grinding of metal and laser burning until it suddenly stopped. He unbuckled himself, and grabbed a sidearm and an assault rifle. He activated the drill cameras, and saw the orc-like soldiers of the federation ready to jump them. He hit a switch and out board turrets took out the leaders, and a grenade taking care of the rest. As soon as the grenade exploded, he and his team leapt out and shot quick bursts to take out any survivors. When the clouds cleared, he and his team silently scanned the hallways. He remembers back in boot camp, he was taught to go into the engineer shafts to evade patrols. He flashed an HUD message (a message that his HUD is connected to his thoughts) to tell Dok to take point. Dok was fidgety, which made him extra alert when he took point.
He gave the hold symbol, and indicated via hand signs that there was a patrol about 600 feet away from them. The patrol was made of a dozen or so orcs, and one or two assailants. Assailants are about 3 feet tall, and have light bending technology that makes them invisible and silent. They carry knives and look like masked orcs. According to the motion scanner, they were closing in fast. Orcs usually have crude looking machine guns, and weapons that look like they came from a scrap pile. Jared sent for Jane to go ahead and snipe the assailants. Jane is a little scary when she starts shooting. She never says anything, just has a smile on when she sees the target. With two cracking sounds of the rifle, the assailants drop dead, leaving the orcs to handle.
They line up with their assault rifles, letting them have it. They stop, looking confused, and then they fall, as bluish slime oozes out of their wounds. Jared gives the all clear sign, and they move forward. Their ultimate objective is that they have to disable the STAR shooting system. Another team will disable the factory, after we destroy the shooting system.
They move quickly, finding stairs, and running through passageways. Through a long and winding stair ways, they finally get to the launcher, and prep the charges, Jared’s piloting dexterity skills come into use, and the bomb is set very quickly. They move a distance back, and then Jared hits the switch, that blows it into tiny atoms, which, in turn causes a lot of noise. As soon as they are done the send a message to base, that they had destroyed the launcher, and that they are heading back to the ship. But as soon as they open the door, two lizard-like orc enforcers start firing with their shrapnel bullet guns exploding on impact. Enforcers look like something that crawled out of a swamp and grew a few feet. They are 7 feet of pure scales and muscle. They have been known to blow away companies at a time. Ferrel lobs a flash grenade in there, and closes the door. With a dull WHUMP, they open the door, to see two blinded lizards, for they are very sensitive to light and heat. As they move down the way, back to the ship, Jared glances out the glass just in time to see their mother-ship blown to smithereens, and chunks of metal flying into space and into ships. A chunk of metal the size of a house smashes into the part of the ship that we landed, and he saw his ship parts fly into space. Crap.
Unfortunately, they landed near the ship’s engines, so the ship buckled and the stars turned into blurs as the ship spirals down to the planet. The planet was undergoing a mining operation, then contact mysteriously ceased. He heard this when he was about to go to the simulator.
The ship intercom blared in an unintelligible language, crash seats folded out of the walls, and they jumped in them. He knew a little bit of orc, and they said something about 30 seconds. “Damn!” he thought.
10…5…3…2…1… The room shook so violently, it threw them out of their seats, and they hit the cold, hard floor. His vision went a little blurry, and he felt dizzy. Then it all went black.

Chapter 3
The surface

Darkness is closing in. They are coming. The destroyers are coming. Nothing will be left. Nothing will be saved. Everything will be destroyed.

“He’s over here!” faint voices say. Jared can only see blurry images, but they are getting clearer. He recognizes Dok, in his battle suit, but Jared had lost his helmet. He shakily got up and looked around for his helmet.
“That was some crash, good thing we all survived the crash.” Jamie said.
Jared, while putting on his helmet said “how long have I been out?”
“We just got moving ourselves” Dok said.
“Any orcs around?”
“Nah, I’m not even sure they survived the crash.” He looked out one of the view ports and saw a lush tropical terrain. Birds flew above, and there was a mountain and a flowing river in the distance. Some crash site.
“Where’s the rest of the team?”
“Down by an opening.”

A few minutes later, they were at a spot with a half-dozen enforcers and assailants strewn on the floor, blood splattered on the ground. There were huge tracks on the ground, 6 foot footprints, like a giant lizard. Strange, Teeth marks are everywhere. Torn orcs, blood marks, everything that you would see in a horror movie.
“Hey Jared, you alright?” Jane asked.
“Yeah, we weren’t sure if you would make it.” Ferrel said
“I’m fine, where do those tracks lead?”
“Down to the mountains, why?”
“We need to get to the mines as long as we’re here. Does anyone have a scanner?”
“Yeah, it’s a little broken, but it works.” Dok spoke up.
“Okay, we’re going to the mines, move it out!”
“Yes sir!” they all said in unison.

They were about 2 miles from the mine and it was the middle of the morning. By late afternoon, they decided to camp out just a few meters away from the mine. Staying under partial invisibility would chew up their batteries, but would keep them safe. At night, they had eaten dry food, but they heard scratching noises coming from the mines. They immediately got up and crouched behind some bushes, just so they could see. There were a few orcs running from the installation, just when a large lump of plasma burned up about four, and the last one was wounded, it was crawling away, just when a giant, slender hand came from the mine, and as soon as it got him the orc screamed for help in his own language, and was brought in and sickening sounds like crunching and tearing came from the tunnel. Thoroughly disturbed, they decided to take turns watch. They were up at the crack of dawn, and were going to slowly move through mine. They spent as little time as possible stretching, and turned. There were etchings of drawings and cave writings that showed some kind of battle between two species.
There were smaller ones that looked to have huge numbers, and they were having some sort of primitive battle, then the drawings stopped.
“sir!” Dok said. “look” Jared turned his head, to find scorched walls that were splattered with blue orc blood.
“What the hell did this?”
“Some kind of monster Is my guess.” said Ferrel. “Not even with our super soldiers could we do thi-“he stopped mid sentence and fell. They all dove for cover as machine gun fire ripped apart the cave walls, and made the wall collapse behind them. They all leveled their machine guns and fired at the flashes of the other guns. They heard a thump, and slowly checked the body. It was an enforcer that looked half dead. Well, used to be any way. As Jane helped Ferrel up, Jared saw the enforcer was scratched, burnt and was bleeding, but not from their bullets. Ferrel was scratched on his leg, but Jane got it bandaged, and he had learned to live with pain. They followed the tracks and saw there was a light, about a mile down. There was drilling machines everywhere, and orcs along with them. at the end of the tunnel, there was a very bright light.
They squinted and looked below them, and to their amazement, saw a shining utopia, of sleek buildings. And creatures were walking around. With long, flat faces, and long slender arms, they majestically lumbered around, until one stopped and looked at them and whispered to the others, and the whole bunch stopped, and kneeled at them. They chanted in English,
The saviors are here.
Praise the gods, the saviors are here.
We shall be saved, we shall be saved.
They repeated that chant until larger, more slender ones came and spoke to them.
“We would like you to come see our master. He has been waiting for you.” One said in its deep, piercing voice. When they walked through the city, they came across speeders, jewels, mining equipment, and more long slender ones that had cannons seemingly welded to their arms. The leader was surrounded with guards of the same sort. It smiled, with its sharp spiky, but straight teeth and said “Welcome, saviors of the city great.”
