Creating my own ever-expanding move set for later... I'd like to know if they're valid, invalid, or adaptable... Basically, Storm has the final say in this, but if you'd like to add to the discussion, go right ahead... Maybe you could even post your own...
Anyway, I was conveniently walking up the road today when I made these few Mind-related abilities... - Mind Link -> Link minds with someone (100% accuracy in Telekinesis, as well as Mind-based attacks; if below 50, assume it was at 50 for damage). - Mind Crush -> +2 damage per level; literally crush someone's mind with your own; first level is 2 + skill level + tech level + (roll-50)/5 damage; beneath 50 is usually a miss. - Shadow of Eyes -> If eye contact is made, percentile chance to actually put the enemy to sleep; starts at 80 DC; -5 DC per level.
As you can see, I don't have the MP made up for these things... Basically because I have NO idea... ><;
While I'm here, about my skill, Sing... When I use 2 MP to cast, and say I succeed, when I roll again next turn for concentration to keep going, do I deduct another 2 MP? First of all, that'd count as 2 casts... As well, I think it'd make more sense if I don't pay to keep concentration... ninja

yeah its like a spark with gas. The spark light the gas which makes a flame while the gas is there to keep the fire going... And MP starts the action while its is the players job to keep concentration for it to continue.

Well..
For the techs/magic/skills thats is basically situation based. If someone has Water level 1 for example, and suggests the level 2 spell to be 'Tidal Wave of Death & Destruction,' then that wont be accepted. However, if you do have a generally good idea, it more then likely will be accepted.
For example; Several days ago Deorc suggested that his Kitsune character could have 'Senses.' I, of course being one to run off at the mouth thought for hours how to make it work. But Deorc did give a very good description, and helped a lot. However, I may make a toned down version for regular characters, which has some differing skills then the Kitsune race Skill.

As for the concentration, Sorry that this wasn't clarified in the rules, but you do not need to subtract MP every turn, or roll to continue to concentrate. However, if you have rolled, hypothetically, 56. Which isn't the best, but its a pass. On your next turn, you may, if you wish to re-roll, in an attempt to roll higher.
Also, I'd like to add, if you are attacked physically, mentally or emotionally, you will have to roll again to stabilize your concentration. However, if you roll 50, it passes, but it stays as the original roll. This means, if a enemy were to taunt you, you must re-roll.

Makes sense to me... ninja And thanks...
As for the above skills, I don't see them as upgrades to anything, but as separate skills... Mind Link and Mind Crush could be used in a combination attack, but are actually two different things (and to do a Mind Crush, I would imagine it'd take a higher level)...
Storm has a lot to think about... And I was just thinking on an ability based on telekinesis and music combined... ><

I forgot to mention that for you, being a bard, that if you play a song, or whatever, you still have one action. Not your full turn is playing, you can walk around, take out and item or whatever.
You can take two actions if you decide to stop playing however.
