Mission #4Corgan_ala_Sarnin

Corgan_ala_Sarnin
Herd in the Forest---> Out in the forest, there's a meadow that's COVERED in flowers Well, it's actually a fairy city. The bad news? Some stag have moved in and have eaten some of the city all ready. Chase the stag off, but be VERY careful where you step! It would NOT do us well to piss the fairy-folk off.
3nodding Can you brief me on this mission, please, Maru?
Unimpressed by the visitor, Diego turned his attention to the window. Who cared if there was a huge, bat-winged FREAK of a so-called "Sarnin" that arrived? The feline-aligned Sarnin flicked his long tail, contemplating the chances of an 'accidental' fire in the area. Maybe that would shift attention from that hulking brute for awhile...
Suddenly, the black-and-flame Sarnin stiffened, then growled. "
Unicorns. As if this place couldn't get any worse. Stupid doe-eyed things making those cutsey-wootsy eyes and maidens, acting all innocent... Feh! They're dumb beasts with a horn that can heal!" He paused in his rant, blinking at the geyser-like erruption of flower petals that could be seen in the forest. "Ha! Looks like a herd of those brainless hoof'd things found the Fae City!"
Translation?
HA! Looks like you've managed to get yourself a completely random mission! >D Instead of stag, unicorns -- yes, white horse-like creatures with a single horn on their forheads -- are terrorizing/eating the city, and are finding it to be quite delicious. {:3
In Perdita's eyes, the Unicorns' silvery souls wouldn't be as bright as one would expect. Apparently, their wits have dulled their aura. >_>; The fae would appear as a single light, with the more powerful fae being brighter. Since the fairies are casting spells, it shouldn't be too hard for her to find them. ^^ And since the fairies are really just throwing flowers around, it shouldn't be painful, unless Perdita becomes allergic to one of the things they're throwing around. =o
Perdita moved to the window in response to Diego's outburst, curious. She could just make out many lights moving through the trees. The blind Sarnin glanced back at the souls that surrounded the newcomer, but they were all buisy. It seemed she was the only one who could go to handle this particular problem. Sighing, she left the Observatory, keeping to the side and to dim lit areas.
Outside, her owner joined her.
"It seems there is a herd of unicorns causing a little trouble, love. Are you up for the challenge?""Ready, though I'm actually a little unsure as to just what a unicorn is..." She said quietly. Dragonz blinked in surprise. She often forgot that her sarnin was still newly come to adulthood.
"Well, a unicorn is a horse-like creature with a single spiral horn in the center of its forehead. They're very attracted to virgin humans, but a little low in the intelligence department." Dragonz paced with Perdita into the woods, down a well used to path to the meadow in question. A truly strange sight met their eyes.
Dragonz saw a herd of pure white creatures frolicing through a meadow of flowers. Angry fae folk buzzed around them on translucent wings, furiously throwing petals from flowers they had gathered. Unfortunately, it did nothing to stop the glorious creatures, they even seemed to enjoy it. Perdita saw moving lights, small bright stars and dimmer, larger will-o-whisps that danced through a sea of other lights, the air filled with the smell of flowers and crushed greenery.
Suddenly, a huge ball of petals burst into a cloud of falling plantlife as it collided with Perdita's head.
"Hey!" She snorted and shook her head, shedding flowers. A very angry fae buzzed infront of her nose, scolding her.
"But... but... but...I'm not a unicorn! I'm a Sarnin, and I've come to help you get rid of the unicorns!" She ducked another cloud of petals and dashed to the side.
Dragonz, mean while, was laughing so hard she nearly fell over, arms holding her sides. Perdita was covered in petals, most falling off but some sticking to her mane and tail.
"You... you look like your getting ready for a tryst!" She could stand it no longer and crowed with mirth. Perdita glared at her owner, when an idea came to her. Raising her head, she gave a piercing whistle. A herd of white, pearl horned heads turned to see what had called to them.
Dragonz's eye went wide as she felt the ground tremble beneith her, a sound like thunder filling her ears. She straightened up in time to see the unicorns stampeding in her direction, winged faes chaising them with more bursts of flower petals.
"Eep..." Dragonz turned and ran, the herd close behind her and Perdita laughed in her own turn, a few tears leaking from her eyes.
"Well, that solved that problem." Perdita snorted.
The black Sarnin started as she felt tiny points of pressure all over her body. Bright little lights shone all around her as the fae folk came to thank her for saving their city. Perdita blushed and gave a muffled thank-you. She tried to slip away, but the fae wouldn't let her go until they had rewarded her in some way.
It was a very embarassed Sarnin that re-entered the observatory later that day. Bright flowers decorated her mane and tail, some even woven into the feathers of her wings. Grumbling, Perdita went to look for her friend Myria to help her untangle the dreadful things from her mane. The fae had been quite persistant, and the flowers were near impossible for the poor Sanin to remove. Dragonz was still out in the forest somewhere being chaised by the unicorns, though she probably would have left the flowers in just so she could laugh at Perdita.
