My girlfriend is sort of shy in bed and has a hard time pleasuring me. I think it's hard for her to be confident.
So I bought her a copy of the Whole Lesbian Sex Book, and I'm hoping it will help. Do you think it will?

a sex book can't really give confidence.
Something you could try: Pleasure her and then have her do what you did to you. Make a lot of noise, squirm around, lightly scratch her back, make it apparent that you're feeling good. Don't fake, but let her know that she's make you feel good.

I agree with Kleokriesel, buying a book won't really build her confidence, you just need to show your appreciation 110% when ever she does something that turns you on or makes you feel good in any way, giving alot of encouragement will bring alot of great things out of her and make her want to show you more good things that she can do
