10.5 years of great characters, lame characters, amazing writing and primary school writing deserves a thread to itself I think!
SG1 was one of those shows with something for just about everyone. I've never met anyone who hated it or had never seen at least a few eps. 3nodding
So many of the episodes were brilliantly written, and some just plain silly. If you can watch "Urgo" without cracking up, you're not human.
I think "Citizen Joe" is my all time favorite episode:
Joe Spencer: "Between you and me, I totally see the analogy. Burns as Goa'uld."
Gen. O'Neill: "Thank you!"
I'm still mourning the loss of the series but atleast we have feature films to look forward too...which is good because the final episode....was kind of a let down. Good - but disappointing.

hee, my brother has all ten season on DVD, and I gotta say my favorite is Window of Opportunity, with episode 200 at a close second. my family and I all get together to watch this show, kinda creepy if you think about it.
Favorite character: Teal'c (sp?) Reasons: He doesn't say much, but really he doesn't even need to, and what he does say is either insightful or condescending in the form of sarcasm 3nodding . He wields that awesome staff. He's got that crest on his head, anyone brave enough gold on their head so people can see it from space like he does deserves a place in my book.

Matari-Chan hee, my brother has all ten season on DVD, and I gotta say my favorite is Window of Opportunity, with episode 200 at a close second. my family and I all get together to watch this show, kinda creepy if you think about it. I think they got every slang from Farscape into that one scene! rofl Aeryn-Vala: Call me farhbot, but they're going to have our mivonks on a platter if we don't starburst the draz out of here. Crichton-Daniel: The cluster's been damaged! We're not going anywhere! Chianna-Carter: Oh, dren! D'Argo-Teal'c: Hezmana! Aeryn-Vala: Frell! Stark-Mitchell: Aw, son of a hazmot! Rygel-Thor: Yotz!

I love Stargate SG-1, but unfortunately have only seen what episodes I've managed to catch on the Sci-Fi channel, never in order. One of my favorite episodes that I've seen is "Window of Opportunity", just because it's so freaking hilarious. Golfing into the Stargate?! And I thought the Season 10 finale was dumb, and they could have given such an awesome show a much better ending, but that's just me. My favorite characters are Vala, Jack O'Neill, and Sam Carter (though I like most everyone). Vala because she's so funny, Jack for the same reason, and Sam because she has my dream profession! Physics all the way! Especially astrophysics.

Well, in that episode one of my favorite, for lack of a better word, "improvises" is the one where someone suggests that the movie be them, only as adolescent teenagers. The only line I can remember at the moment is Vala at the end saying "I'm pregnant." It's just so hilarious, because it follows any and all of the other "teen" programs on the air. And then, there were puppets. yes, puppet, with strings and everything.
