Premise:
In 2020, something amazing was discovered - not only were werewolves, vampires, and other creatures found in myth real, they still roamed the world today, existing harmoniously with normal civilians. They had remained undetected for centuries, many not even aware of one another's existance. When the news went public all over the world, it caused widespread panic for a little while. Normal humans fled and hid in paranoia, while the more old or insane vampires took to the streets and made their feeding public, as no need for secrecy existed any longer. Eventually, though, a corporation emerged to take control of the chaos - Paragon, a giant empire led by a man no one had ever heard of. Everything became controlled very quickly, and though the methods were perhaps questionable - the mythical creatures were all captured and sent to live in facilities - all humans were glad for the relief.
Two centuries later, things have settled into a pattern. The existance of these creatures is not kept secret any longer, but nor are they kept trapped in facilities. To some, though, their existence is just as bad. Paragon keeps tabs on them like they are criminals. They're required to wear dog tags at all times bearing their name and species, and are sorted into seperate schools, living in seperate neighborhoods and sometimes entire cities. School is taught by Paragon's entirely human faculty. Any non-humans are required to have regular physical check-ups at least once a month, no matter what. All werewolves are aware of who made them that way, all vampires know their sires. Any fighting between these two species, or any others, is severely punished on both sides. Vampires are forced to drink chemically created 'blood' to survive that far from fulfills their thirst. And if you are a vampire who has been found guilty of turning another person, you are executed. Werewolves, on the other hand, are not allowed to bear children, so that their population might be controlled, and are chained in jail-like facilities every full moon. Failure to obey these rules results in either jail time or death, depending on the judge. And once you break them, your actions become monitored constantly. In addition, those who aren't human are looked upon by those who are, in general, in one of two ways; with the sort of detatched pity you give a child, or as second class citizens. In the eyes of the non-humans, neither of these is even preferable to the other - either way, they are not treated like the humans are. Rebellion has been spoken of, but most of the groups are either too afraid of reprecussions to act, or simply hate eachother too much to get along. Werewolves and vampires are an example of this.
In 2218, in a 'mixed-breed' city just outside Seattle, WA in the United States, our story is set.

Rules:
I: Obey the TOS, blah blah blah. I'm gonna go ahead and trust that you know this well enough by now. If you don't, you probably don't belong in this RP. II: I'm pretty sure if you're literate enough to be in this guild, you are, but I'm gonna go ahead and say it anyway - Semi-lit at least. I'd at least like an attempt at all posts lasting for more than a single line. III: This goes with obey the TOS, I suppose, but violence, cursing, and romace are, of course, okay - just, please, keep it at a reasonable amount. -.- IV: Yes, I was rather unspecific in the premise about which species exist and which don't. That's because, to be honest, I'm not sure. If you have any questions on what's permissable, go ahead and PM them to me - you're probably good. V: What I say, goes, in general. Don't want to be bossy, and trust me, you'll probably get away with most everything, but just as a safety net. VI: In addition, what Zaydin says goes. He made the guild. If he wants to add to the rules for an RP in his guild, he gets to. VII: Be realistic with the premise I have given you. Keep in mind when creating your character that Paragon has virtually no cracks in their system - renegade, untagged vampires and the like don't really exist. On that subject, staying realistic, you can be whoever you want - humans, Paragon employees, rebels, whatever. VIII: Call me a cynic, but I think it's fairly likely that this RP will be gettin' reeeeaal slow at some point. With that in mind, you are encouraged to have just as many characters as you want, so long as you can keep track of 'em. IX: Godmoders and fly-by RPers will be burned at the stake. X: So will anyone who doesn't obey the rules. By which I mean, they'll be blacklisted. XI: In your profile, under appearance, feel free to post pictures. However, I would appreciate it if you did not put 'avatar'. Avatars don't really look like real people, and it doesn't give me a very good idea of what your character looks like. XII: PM your profiles to me with the title 'Cornobble.' (I'm not feeling terribly creative. It's an archaic word for 'to hit with a fish.')

Profiles:CODE: Username:Name:Age:Gender:Species:Appearance:Personality:History:Occupation:Other:--------------------------------- ACCEPTEDUsername: (Losing Consciousness) Name: Kay Jackson Age: 17 Gender: Female Species: Werewolf Appearance: Kay is fairly pale skinned, and has likely never gotten a tan in her life. She's 5'6", and extremely thin, weighing in at about 100 lbs. - just enough to even be considered healthy for someone of her description. Her eyes are a bewitching grey, without a hint of any other color in them, and her naturally brown and curly hair is straightened and dyed black, with dark purple streaks in it. She tends to wear vintage clothing, or clothing from other countries, in bright colors, often exposing her midriff. She has two or three piercings in each of her ears, a silver stud in her tongue, and a Japanese character tattooed on her lower right back. Personalitiy: Kay has been percieved by Paragon for some time to be a near model citizen for her slot - quiet, unobtrusive, and accepting of her place in the hierarchy. As soon as the cameras turned off, she revealed that she was nothing but. Kay hates Paragon with a passion for what they have done to her parents, to her, and to all those like her. It takes a very long time to earn her trust, but as long as she knows there aren't humans around, she's quick as hell to state how she feels about the lives the non-humans are forced to live. She has few friends, but when she has the chance to be with them, she's often much more cheerful than usual - since all of her friends share her ideals, and being with people like her makes her think they have a chance. History: Kay has spent her entire life in the way set out for her by Paragon, being one of the rare and forbidden born werewolves. She spent her early childhood in an orphanage, since, (having borne her,) her parents were jailed from the moment she was consumated to when she reached the age of five, her mother giving birth in the jail's hospital. Once they were allowed to see her, they doted upon her, cared for her unquestioningly, and gave her the best life they possibly could when they were constantly under surveillance. When she was fifteen, however, it became discovered that her mother was again pregnant. Wanting desperately to keep the child, her parents managed to keep it secret for a long time - until it was too late to change their minds. When Paragon discovered their secret, they made the decision that, if such events were to keep occuring, then her parents would be executed. Her father, not wanting to let them control everything so perfectly, killed himself as soon as he was able to. Her mother was again taken into prison until she could give birth, and Kay sent to the orphanage once more. Rather than be executed, her mother died in childbirth three months later, though the child survived, a young girl. Paragon decided, however, to send her to a seperate city entirely from her sister, to avoid letting Kay fill her head with stories of what they had done to their parents. She herself was kept under surveilance to make sure she didn't pick up any of their ideas until just a month ago. Kay is now considered old enough to live on her own, away from the orphanage, and she makes due without difficulty in her parent's old house, an apartment in the designated living quarters of her city. Occupation: Barista Other: Kay finds the age-old feud between her kind and the vampires to be completely ridiculous, and treats both with equal courtesy or contempt based solely on the person, not their race. As far as she's concerned, fighting within classes is ridiculous if they ever want to rise up. She's also remarkably neutral on the subject of her transformations - having lived with them for all of her life, there is no reason for them to upset her. Username: Mystery Wolf Name: Rein Nolah Age: 21 Gender: Male Species: Human Appearance: Here(For the good sake- blue eyes though) Personality: Rein is usually fairly quiet. He has a fascination with wolves, but LOATHES vampires to the point of where he wants to start fights with them. He usually resists this temptation however but is just clearly angry around any vampire. History: Rein's parents were killed by vampires which is why he loathes them so- the vampires have been punished accordingly with life in prison (Which is, ironically a VERY long time.) He has been living at an inn for most of the time and working there under the custody of the owner. Since he was 18 a few months ago he was allowed to leave and go where he wants. He still works at the inn due to the good wages, but he has a small place of his own now. Occupation: Inn attendant (Bellhop some may call it. But he also cooks on occasion) Other: He treats werewolves exactly like humans- if not better due to their ability. He believes that vampires should all be in jail though. Username:aneman333 Name: Jessica (Jess) First Age: 219 (she looks 17) Gender: female Species: vampire Appearance: Short, black hair and very pale skin. Her eyes are normally green, but they turn red when she gets angry or when she is overcome by bloodlust. She has fangs, and they lengthen when she's feeding. She is relatively tall, about 5'7''. Personality: She is angry toward and rude to any Paragon member or any human who does not treat her with the respect she thinks she deserves. Though she dislikes werewolves, she does not hate them like some vampires do- she has learned from her own experiences not to judge someone based simply on species. She is also very compassionate toward those who she feels deserve compassion. History: She was there during the revealing of mythical creatures, and she was also one of the ones put in the containment facilities. Her sire, along with many of the older vampires, was killed at that time, leaving her to take care of herself in what was, most certainly, a very threatening time. Because of this, she learned to be independent and she knows how to work the system. She also tries to take care of any new vampires that are made, since their sires are then killed for their 'crimes'. Occupation: Secretary at a failing law firm, though she knows law better than her boss. Other: She has good control over her bloodlust and, like most vampires, she has heightened senses. Username: Wrainith Name: Cillian Archer Age: 28 Gender: Male Species: Human Appearance: Short, but finely built from years of physical training and a rather physical job. He has the tone of many black belts and the stamina of a boxer. The SEAL's and then the Delta Force require it. Atop his head rides a buzz cut crop of nearly bleach blond hair and under that two dark brown eyes stare back at you. His face is chizzled and his caucasion skin is heavily tanned, nearly bronze. His hands and feet are calust and hard from training. Personality: Slightly paranoid, though this is due to training.. Constantly alert, bright, but not exceedingly intelligent. He has a hawkish out look on life.. Believing firmly in social darwinism. He has little to no bias.. Except for that of pacifists and fools.. Tending to be something of an elitist. He might be applicable for the term.. Combat born and raised. History: When he was younger.. He had a brother.. Though Cillian does not entirely remember his just now.. Then he quickly went through his 'schooling' and applied for the navy SEAL's.. Getting accepted and passing through the training without incident.. Which is more than most can say.. After this his career is classified.. But it is believed by the family that he has been promoted to the prestigeous Delta Force.. and is now on leave for the next few weeks. Occupation: SEAL.. Or maybe Delta Force Other: None Username: Wrainith Name: Patrick Archer Age: 25 Gender: Male Species: Werewolf Appearance: Skinny and slightly lanky. Very close to malnurished. He has a hippy esk sort of style about him.. Smelling faintly of some kind of herbal musk.. Though its probably just incense or something of the like. He had dreads down to his shoulders and a rather bulky rasta hat to hold them all up. As a wolf however he is black with two toned eyes, both blue and yellow.. They eyes stay with him while he is human. Personality: Laid back, but not complacent. He is actively researching politics, history, and a number of other subjects so that he can protest effectively what the powers that be are doing to him and his kind.. He is also a very all natural person, believing that nature has the right away in one's life. History: Patrick was bitten at an early age and then seperated from the family by his parents. He spent the remainder of his childhood in an orphanage and then continued to study at home, spending alot of his time reading and learning.. From books rather than teachers. He was accepted into the job because of need.. There are so few qualified people out in the mixed sections. He is relatively benign person.. and though he protests what goes on.. Its always very peaceful and unobtrusive.. So in an effort to make fewer mayrters.. the powers that be are leaving him alone for now. Occupation: High School librarian for the mixed breed part of town. Other: NoneUsername: Zaydin Name: Mattias Nilsson Age: 32 Gender: Male Species: Human Appearance: MattiasPersonality: Cold, ruthless when necessary. But, at the same time, a very caring person. History: Mattias was born in Sweden. For years, he lived an average life. Until he was 18, & he saw the conditions the 'super-natural' beings lived in. Mattias, since then, has campaigned to give the super-naturals the same rights as human beings. This, of course, has made him rather unpopular with those in power. Mattias always carries a fire-arm with him, after several failed kidnapping and/or assassination attempts. Mattias has been campaigning for years, & his face is well known among the super-natural community, as he is one of the few humans who cares about their suffering. Mattias, as a side note, wants to see Paragon destroyed, it's leader exposed, & rule restored to the people. Occupation: Super-natural rights advocate, protester, etc Other: The weapon that Mattias carries with him at all times is a M1911A1 Colt .45 pistol Username: Rinel_Underwood Name: Kira Hayes Age: appears to be in her early 20s, but is in fact 65. Gender: female Species: vampire Appearance: Kira Outfit When she's mad, or filled with bloodlust, her eyes turn red, like most vampires. Kira is thin and stands at 5 foot 6. History: Kira lead the perfect life, even in this new society that was thought to be less than perfect. She lived in an all human upper class neighborhood, attended the best schools, was going to become a doctor.... and then she fell in love with a vampire. She'd met him at a dance club she'd been dragged to, where all races were allowed. He'd been hiding his dogtags at the time, so she hadn't known what he was till she had already fallen for him. A few years after they started seeing each other, Kira fell ill, some kind of terminal cancer. To save her life, the vampire turned her... even though it was against the law. One would think in this sort of situation, it might be understandable, especially since Kira wanted it... but PARAGON didn't care. The law was the law. Not even a week after she'd been turned, before she'd even left the hospital, her boyfriend was killed for his actions. Kira was closely monitored and given dog tags, but not killed. One vampire replaced another. Kira, though, was miserable, and no longer wanted to be a vampire. After all, what was immortally without somebody to spend it with? Kira was resentful of Paragon... and other vampires, surprisingly. She came to scorn her own race, her new own way of life, everything. She turned her back on it, and tried to pretend she wasn't a vampire, hard to do with the way Paragon treated her race. Still, Kira is now living an ok life, working at a bar and living in the slums of the town.
Personality: When she'd been alive, Kira had been extremely kind and caring towards all races, though maybe a bit biased and afraid of the werewolves and vampires. Still, she'd wanted to become a doctor to help all people. She'd always be willing to help others and watch over them. When she was turned, though, and her boyfriend was killed, Kira pretty much turned away from all of that. She outright hates Paragon and anybody who supports it, and is hostile and suspicious towards other vampires. She doesn't show that hate towards humans and werewolves, though, but she still isn't friendly towards them. She seems to go through life without caring any more. She is very stubborn and prideful, rarely accepting help. The one time she acts like her old self is when she is allowed to work at the hospital where she'd been interning at while alive. Sometimes they let her work there as a nurse or receptionist when they're short workers. Occupation: Works the night shift in a bar. She also volunteers when they'll let her at the nearby hospital. Other: Because Kira is a relatively young vampire, still within the human life span, she has almost no control over the bloodlust. There have been some close calls, and for it she is closely monitored. Also, since her boyfriend died so soon after she was turned, Kira has never been taught how to deal with vampirism at all. Unfortunately, she is stubborn and prideful and refuses help from other vampires. Kira has heightened senses like other vampires. She also always carries a black umbrella with her in the day time, so she isn't burned by the sun.

Kay pushed open the doors that led out onto the street from the medical center gladly, shaking her head and growling slightly. She hated going in for check ups. It wasn't as if there was anything really wrong with her. So, she turned into a bloodthirsty animal once a month. She did it in a controlled facility, in chains in fact, thanks to them. It wasn't like she was contagious. And the way everyone looked at her when she spoke the word: 'werewolf.' Reactions ranging from people who viewed her as garbage, or as a five year old. Irritating either way. She walked purposefully towards the bus stop which would take her back to their own personal ghetto in the South of the city, her jingling dog tags attracting more attention than she cared to notice.

((ok i have time for this))
Rein just finished up with his job for the day. Another few people to serve- the inn didn't really want vampires or any other mythical creatures which is why it had the sign on the door that said "Humans only." Unfortunately, he could not afford a car and had to take the bus. He was waiting at the stop before the bus came like he always did after work. His ears picked up a jingling dog tag and he noticed Kay walking towards the same stop- he didn't care what she was...as long as she wasn't a vampire. But the tag would tell...although he always thought of it weird to ask something like 'could I see your tag please?' so he just had to assume she was either a werewolf, or a human with a sense of fashion.

Kay arrived at the station and leaned against one of the colorful walls of the small space where then non-humans could wait when it rained. There was another station, larger, a few feet apart, this one somewhat more advanced, where those who did not wear dog-tags sat. All outside walls of the small buildings were bright, covered in advertisements for Paragon and it's sub-companies. It took her a moment to notice the stares of a boy about her age, and she turned towards him with a scowl, not pleased. "You got a bone to pick?" She asked, sounding rather irritated.

The boy didn't really hesitate- she looked unhappy though. What was her problem? "No. Can't a guy just look at a girl without being questioned?" he noticed where she sat- she wasn't human that was for sure...but what WAS she then? Probably not a vampire....werewolf maybe?

Kay rolled her eyes, still very nearly glaring at him. "Well, you're staring at my chest, meaning that either you're just being juvenile and I'm angry at you for that..." She trailed off, smirked mockingly. "Or you're looking at the shiny metal tags that are also there, meaning you're curious. Go ahead and ask, really. It's not as humiliating as you'd think when everyone does it."

Jess looked down at the shivering body walking beside her. He was hunched over, moaning softly in pain. "Shh," she tried to hush him, holding him tightly to her side.
He only shook his head. "It hurts," he moaned.
She looked up, seeing the bus station up ahead. "Look," she told him, "we're almost there. But you have to be quiet- and keep your head down. We don't want anyone to see your eyes." The shivering vampire obediantly looked down, his moans quieting instantly. Suddenly, she stopped, seeing that a man and a woman were also waiting at the bus stop. Looking around, though, she knew there was really no other option; she didn't have a car and walking the rest of the way was out of the question. "Come on," she told her charge, leading him onward, though she silently vowed to watch him carefully. She didn't want any trouble tonight.

"Fine." he looked away. "What are you then? Is that what you want me to ask. I don't care if you're anything but a vampire...I treat you just like any other girl if you're not a vampire." it was juvenile of him to say things like that- but she asked after all.

Cillian jogged up to the train station.. His Navy SEAL dog tags jingled at his chest and the Ipod Superiour, what a stupid name, blasted Hed PE's - Suffa into his ear drums. His breathing was harsh and strong as his legs pounded into the ground. The rain was god sent, it soaked his skin and green PT shirt and black PT shorts, washing away the sweat and heat. Unlike most SEALs.. Cillian loved the cold.
After a while he came within seeing distance of the train station that would take him around the city.. Only to see that the damned human side was filled with all kinds of people. He hated that.. There where too many. With a rather nasty and icy look he turned and decided to wait in the mixed side of the train depo.. Less people, less bullshit.
I'm a dog, I'm a playa, ya know what I mean, I'm no chump, I'm a hustla, I got mouth's ta feed, Imma born American, Now Imma rude boy, Son I'm a preditor.
He mouthed these words as he finished up in the shelter of the concrete and glanced around.. Some girl and a fan boy by the looks of it.. Kids. He stands at a parade rest and steadies his breathing till its normal.. Four breaths this time.. Gotta get better.

Jess looked up again, focusing on the super-naturals' waiting section again. Now, of course, she was close enough to smell exactly who- or, what, rather- was waiting there. /A werewolf and a human. Great./ She would have much prefered a few vampires- they, at least, would have understood what was wrong with her companion. They wouldn't have instantly hated- or feared- him. Also, a human would not be precisely safe around her companion.
To make matters worse, another human was quickly approaching the waiting area- no doubt to avoid the crowd of humans in the other section. /Well, things just get better and better, don't they?/
Silently, she cursed PARAGON for imprisoning the vampire at her side for a week without feeding him. /Idiots. Any death should be on their heads, not his./ Still, she tightened her grip on him, knowing that- if it came to it- she would be able to subdue him. That particular option just wasn't perferrable. After all, she had spent time in prison before- for fighting- and she didn't want to go back.
