Here are some things I have discovered about the Inheritance series that is more plain fun to know, nothing ground breaking. If you have something like this please do tell. Now...
-Hrothgar is actually the name of the king in the poem (and new movie) Beowulf, the name of our much honored, late dwarf king.
-The Black Hand Society that tried to assasinate Nusuada (sp?) is also the name of the society that assasinated Archduke Ferdinand and set off World War I.

Really? I did not know that. I also know a couple of things you probably did not know:
1) The Ancient Language is actually Icelandic.
2) Book 3 (Untitled) is coming out September 23, 2008.
3) It is now called an Inheritance Cycle because a fourth book is coming out because the third one was so long he had to split it into to books.

Master Eragon - I knew about the Hrothgar thing, but not the about the Black Hand Society. Did you learn that in school or something?

haha, thanks. he thinks he's Saphira, but he lacks several things. one, and most important, he is a boy - and Saphira is a girl, second: he lacks being blue and ferocious.

I was under the impression that the ancient language was based on Old Norse?
And I noticed the black hand thing too, when we were studying WW1.
