A camera shows a treacherous path up the side of a hill. Branches whip into the camera lens & the crunching of under growth can be heard. Its late & a full moon is out. The view finally breaks into a clearing. Its a large flattened area with tire marks dried shallowly into the dirt. Patches of grass are sporadic, & the only thing letting people know there's an edge to fall off of is a smattering of hedges. Its not unlike a "makeout point", out of some 1950s era movie.
Parked in the middle of the clearing is a flat black, dropped & chopped 57 Chevy. The chrome shines & the white-wall tires gleam. A random psychobilly song drones from the stereo.
Krymzon Ghost is sprawled out on the hood, staring at the stars. Without even sitting up he rolls his head toward the camera.
One year. A full cycle has come to pass since the inception of EEW. This is also the birthday of my career.
Segments like this are usually reserved for those who have memories. And memories are reserved for those that create them. Unfortunately, I don't have a lot of EEW memories. Its unfortunate my leave of absence was so long. With all the mayhem running rampant around here... this could've been a lot more interesting for those of you at home. But, I have a lot of friends here. So, its for them I celebrate.
I also celebrate for the memories to come. The moments to be made. The bodies to be broken. The minds to be blown. The glory to be claimed. For all of this will come to pass. And I look forward to every second.
Krymzon climbs up off the car, getting close to the camera.
You see... when you're standing up on that entrance stage, and you've got the lights in your face, the crowd in your ears, & the blood in your veins... its breath taking! But, when you know its an EEW crowd... when you know that its an EEW battle... when you know, beyond a shadow of a doubt, that you will see blood & some of it just might be yours... well, the feeling is indescribable.
And here's another thing to ponder...
Krymzon's face fills the camera. His voice drops to a raspy hiss.
I have yet to truly taste the absolute. I have yet to wear heavy metal. I have yet to earn a title. But, harpies & ghouls, I'm hungry for it. Believe me. It pulls me & taunts me. It feeds on my innards. And the longer I go without my fix... the more I take it out on the slaves.
Something strikes the side of the camera. It hits the ground. There's a sick dragging sound as the view (now turned on its side & getting a great shot of the underside of the car) moves in time. Suddenly there's a jolt, violent jerking, & a thump. The camera is now pointing straight up & out of the Chevy's trunk. Krymzon hovers above; an ill, toothy grin is on his face.
I'll remember this year in EEW for one thing, really... the first chapter in the Legacy of Brutality! Welcome to the rest of your lives!
The trunk slams shut. Everything goes black. The feed ends.
