Pure darkness radiates from her coming form
But darkness is only dead light reborn
And I rest on the floor in a pose forlorn
Somehow she kindly
Somehow she pityingly
Sits down beside me and doesn't yet bite me
"You know what I am?" She asks without question
I don't need to answer, my eyes are confession
Staring, adoring, and fearing--in my expression
She knows the answer
Eating through me like cancer
At last she whispers "Then it's time we began, sir."
Gently grasping, but letting me know I'm stuck
She cradles my head in her hands--begins to suck
At this point I know I'm out of hope and luck
Dizzy, losing thought
Wounds in my neck--shot
By her now receding fangs--the pain I hadn't sought
The kiss of undeath withdraws from my blood
A fountain of life--my own bleeding flood
Abandoning me as I watch the light of the sun
Rising in the window
She releases a low moan
Glances at me, her gaze two hard stones
"Help me." I murmur, well aware that she can't
The light is coming, and it kills as it enchants
My chances of escaping appear very scant
I'm already dead
That's what went unsaid
And this is only the end after the end
