This is where all official jutsus from the anime/manga will be put. If there are any jutsu that I have missed or not put on here, PM me the information. The reason for this is I'll be trying to keep the information I put on here spoiler-free, since some of the jutsus and techniques do give away some of the story.

I've actually added some jutsu of my own here, since there is a lack of certain jutsu (after all, the story is told from the viewpoint of ninja from one village). I've tried to keep these as equal as I could.

Note: Clan jutsus and Bloodline limits will not be listed here. I also won't be putting in jutsu that have only appeared in the manga so far. Once again, I'm trying to keep the guild as spoiler-free as possible. However don't complain about getting a spoiler from the Zabuza arc, if you aren't even that far in the series, you need to REALLY speed it up.

Other Note: Each Jutsu has an element listed under "type". Neutral, Dark, and Light are types of Chakra that all ninja have, but Fire, Wind, Electric, Earth, and Water type jutsu all require your character to have the appropriate chakra element to learn.



Types of Jutsu

Ninjutsu: Often elemental techniques, these are often the mainstay of a ninja's arsenal, and is by far the most varied class.

Genjutsu: Jutsu that work by affecting the opponent's senses to convince them that something not real is.

Taijutsu: The second most-common type of ability, Taijutsu are purely physical skills that require little-to-no chakra to use.

Doujutsu: Eye Techniques, such as special skills oriented around th Mangekyou Sharingan. There are very few of these.

Hijutsu: Bloodline Techniques. Not listed here.

Kinjutsu: Forbidden Techniques. Require Kage approval to learn, and Kage are expected to be very strict about the distribution of these techniques.

E-rank

Because these jutsu are the most basic, and are taught in the academy (Well, the last two don't count) it is presumed all ninja know them, so you don't even need to list them in your profile. If you do feel the need to, just put "Basic jutsu" down, which would mean the first five jutsus on this list.

Ninjutsu:


Bunshin no Jutsu (Clone Jutsu)
Type: E-rank, Supplementary, Neutral
This is a basic technique known to all genin. Bunshin no Jutsu creates a clone of the user, which can used to create a diversion or cause confusion. Unlike Kage Bunshin no Jutsu (Art of the Shadow Doppelganger), these clones aren't real, and thus cannot do any damage.

Henge no Jutsu (Transformation Technique)
Type: E-rank, Supplementary, Neutral
The user assumes the appearance of another person or animal. This is one of the basic jutsu taught at the Ninja Academy.

Kakuremino no Jutsu (Cloak of Invisibility Technique)
Type: E-rank, Supplementary, Neutral
With this jutsu one uses a cloak or piece of cloth to make oneself blend in with the background, rendering oneself invisible.

Kawarimi no Jutsu (Change of Body Technique)
Type: E-rank, Supplementary, Neutral
The user quickly replaces themselves with another object, such as a plant or an animal (usually a section of log). This usually confuses the attacker and leaves them open to a counter-attack. A fairly common Jutsu, it is one of the basic Jutsu a Ninja must learn before graduating to the Genin level. It is not limited strictly to the Naruto series, and is sometimes called Utsusemi no Jutsu.

Nawanuke no Jutsu (Rope Escape Technique)
Type: E-rank, Supplementary, Neutral
A basic jutsu taught at the Ninja academy. When a ninja is tied with rope, he can undo the knots and escape using this technique.

Oiroke no Jutsu (Ninja Centerfold)
Type: E-rank, Supplementary, Neutral
This is simply a Henge used to transform the user into a beautiful, nude woman; if the user is male, the woman's appearance is a beautiful, female version of his appearance. Naruto uses it to drive his instructors to distraction, and it is indeed annoyingly effective.

Taijutsu


One Thousand Years of Pain
Type: E-rank, Offensive, Short range (0-5m), Neutral
A very simple Taijutsu technique with a very over-dramatized name. Forcefully plunges the user's fingers into the vicinity of the victim's rectal regions. Sakura dubbed it the "Super Powerful a**-Poke". However, Naruto figured out the true meaning of the Taijutsu: it was mainly used with a pointed object (usually a kunai), in order to attack the blindspot of the enemy.

Ninjutsu

Denki: Kiribi Heki (Electric release: Flint Spark Burst)
Type: D-rank, Short to mid-range (0-10m), Electric
By clapping your hands together, a shower of sparks fire from the user's hand. The sparks will stick to whatever they come in contact with, and due to their speed, could easily plant itself in human skin. Capable of causing fires if the sparks attack to something flammable.

Doton: Shinju Zanshu no Jutsu (Earth Release: Double Suicide Decapitation Technique)
Type: D-rank, Supplementary, Short range (0-5m), Earth
The user, emerging from the ground below the target, pulls down (or swaps places with) the target so that only the target's head is above ground.

Kage Shuriken no Jutsu (Shadow Shuriken Technique)
Type: D-rank, Offensive, Mid- to long range (5+m), Dark
The user of this technique throws multiple large shuriken in such a way that the first shuriken hides the subsequent ones, probably by blocking the line of sight. To the target, it would look like only one shuriken was thrown. Not to be confused with the Shuriken Bunshin technique.

Kanashibari no Jutsu (Temporary Paralysis Technique)
Type: D-rank, Supplementary, Short to mid-range (0-10m), Neutral
Used to cause one's opponent to lose the advantage of movement. Freezing them in their tracks, this Jutsu creates an opening for a more dangerous attack. Most ANBU seem to know this technique.
Note: In the anime, this technique is very subtle. It seems to give the user a very powerful, fearful presence. Only young ninja seemed affected by it.

Kiri Gakure no Jutsu (Hiding Mist Technique)
Type: D-rank, Supplementary, Water
This jutsu envelops the surrounding area in a dense mist, causing anyone within to lose the advantage of sight.

Shunshin no Jutsu (Body Flicker Technique)
Type: D-rank, Supplementary, Neutral
This jutsu allows the users to appear and disappear in an instant. This is very useful when trying to escape or attack suddenly. The users often uses nearby elements, like mist, sand or leaves, to mask their disappearance or appearance.

Zankuha (Decapitating Air Wave)
Type: D-rank, Offensive, Defensive, Short range (0-5m), Wind
A Jutsu which allows the user to freely control supersonic sound waves and air pressure with a device implanted into one or both of their arms. The blasts are powerful enough to destroy rock.
Note: this technique can be used if the user has a pipe-shaped object as well. Doesn't require the unusual device mentioned above.

Taijutsu

Konoha Reppu (Leaf Gale)
Type: D-rank, Offensive, Short range (0-5m), Neutral
A quick sweep kick. Like most of Rock Lee's techniques, it starts with Konoha (leaf).

Konoha Senpu (Konoha Hurricane)
Type: D-rank, Offensive, Short range (0-5m), Neutral
This Jutsu is mainly a set-up one, and consists of kicking the opponent high into the air, thus leaving them vulnerable to a subsequent more powerful attack. Uzumaki barrage, lion's barrage, and shadow of the dancing leaf all utilize this technique.

Genjutsu

Demonic Illusion: Hell Viewing Technique
Type: D-rank, Supplementary, Short range (0-5m), Light
This jutsu causes the target to see a horrifying vision. First, an imaginary circle of leaves will spin around and envelop the target, falling away shortly after. After a short period, the illusion will begin. This is to make the illusion more convincing, since the user will likely have moved before the illusion sets in.

Ninjutsu

Arijigoku no Jutsu (Ant-Lion Technique)
Rank: C
Range: Close (0m-5m), Mid (5m-10m)
Type: Attack. Earth
Fun Note: This technique mimics how a real ant-lion catches its meal.
Special Note: Anime Only
Ninpou: Arijigoku no Jutsu is a Ninjutsu technique used by Kagerou. Living up to the "Kagerou" (ant-lion) name, Kagerou will form a large conical crater in the ground which will draw and trap careless opponents.

Denki: Hatsudenki (Electric release: energy generator)
Type: C-rank, supplementary, Electric
When this technique is activated, it changes the user's chakra into electricity, making them into a human battery. If combined with any other electrical technique, the strength of the jutsu becomes considerably stronger. However, techniques of any other element cannot be used.

Denki: Seteki Ibuki (Electric release: Static breath)
Type: C-rank, close range (0-5m), Electric
Similar to the Great Fireball technique, the user fires large ball of electricity from his/her mouth.

Denki: Jijou (Electric release: Magnetic Field)
Type: C-rank, supplementary, short to long range (0-10m+), Electric
Turns the user into a magnet. The strength of the magnet is dependent upon the chakra control of the user. The magnet can be made to attract or repel, but it takes bit of chakra.

Doton: Doroku Gaeshi (Earth Release: Earth Shore Return)
Type: C-rank, Offensive, Short range (0-5m), Earth
A Doton (earth type) Ninjutsu technique where the ninja digs into the ground beneath them and tears up a solid wall of dirt and rock. The shield of earth is held together by the ninja's chakra and is meant to take the driving force of a physical attack, or to block projectile weapons.

Doton: Retsudotensho (Earth Release: Split Earth Turn Around Palm)
Type: C-rank, Offensive, All ranges, Earth
This technique is pretty well described by its name. The user places his/her hand on the ground, and a large crack opens underneath the enemy.

Futon: Daitoppa (Wind Release: Great Breakthrough)
Type: C-rank, Offensive, Short to mid-range (0-10m), Wind
The user blows out a powerful blast of wind, which can easily level a large area.

Fuubaku Houjin (Exploding Seal Method Formation)
Rank: C
Range: Close (0m-5m)
Type: Attack, Supplementary, neutral
Fuubaku Houjin is a Ninjutsu technique used by Iruka. Arranging the seals in a square formation, Iruka will draw his target within the array. He can then form handseals to activate the tags and prep them for explosion.

Fuusajin (Dust Wind)
Rank: C
Range: Close (0m-5m), Mid (5m-10m)
Type: Attack, Defense, wind
Ninpou • Fuusajin is a Ninjutsu technique used by the Sand ninja Temari. Using her fan, Temari will blow a strong current which will cover the surrounding area in dust. This dust will serve to loosen the footing for any opponent who walks nearby.

Joro Senbon (It's Raining Needles From Heaven)
Type: C-rank, Offensive, Mid-range (5-10m), Neutral
A barrage of needles fly at the enemy from sockets in an umbrella that has been flung into the air. They come at the enemy from all directions and are controlled by chakra to increase accuracy. These needles have been known to have the power to pierce 5 mm of steel.

Jouro Senbon (Sprinkling Needles)
Rank: C
Range: Mid (5m-10m)
Type: Attack, neutral
Jouro Senbon is a Ninjutsu technique that is utilized by Rain ninjas. After hurling their umbrellas into the air, they will unleash a torrent of needles. Using their chakra they can guide these needles towards their opponent.

Kamaitachi no Jutsu (Cutting Whirlwind Technique)
Type: C-rank, Offensive, Short to mid-range (0-10m), Wind
A Jutsu that, using a giant fan, causes huge gusts of wind capable of cutting the target apart. The wind is powerful enough to repel thrown weapons and reflect sound waves back at their source.

Katon: Gokakyu no Jutsu (Fire Release: Great Fireball Technique)
Type: C-rank, Offensive, Close range (0-5m), Fire
Utilizing a high amount of chakra, the user creates a large ball of flame. When an Uchiha clan member masters this technique he/she is recognized as an adult.

Katon: Hosenka no Jutsu (Fire Style: Art of the Phoenix Flower)
Type: C-rank, Offensive, Close range (0-5m), Fire
Sends multiple balls of flame at the target. Because the flames aren't very big, it is generally used as a distraction. It is also possible to hide shurikens within the fireballs, creating an unexpected secondary attack.

Katon: Ryuka no Jutsu (Fire Release: Dragon Fire Technique)
Type: C-rank, Offensive, Mid-range (5-10m), Fire
Sends a stream of fire along a length of cord, or any other long thin object.

Kuchiyose no Jutsu (Summoning Technique)
Type: C-rank, Variable, Neutral
This Jutsu, using a contract, Seal, and the user's blood, binds an animal to the user. The type of animal is determined by the contract and Seal performed. The blood is used as a signature to make the contract, which can be written on a scroll or tattoo, valid. Once bound, the animal can be summoned to perform a task or help the user in battle.
Other types of Summoning Techniques can summon powerful objects, such as weapons (Tenten) or Kankuro's puppets.

Kugutsu no Jutsu (Puppet Technique)
Type: C-rank, Offensive, Defensive, Supplementary, Close to mid-range (0-10m), Neutral
Just like a marionette, the user controls a puppet using strings of chakra from his fingers. This skill is often used in co-ordination with Kawarimi no Jutsu (Change of Body Technique), so the user can quickly replace their body with the puppet. Another useful quality of this skill is the fact that the puppet can take the form of another person, object, or, more commonly, the form of the user. Puppets are fitted with various hidden devices, most commonly extendable blades, various projectile launchers, and poison, both in gaseous form and liquid coating their weapons. This technique can also be adapted to control humans as if they were puppets, or another puppeteer's puppets.

Kuchiyose • Tobidougu (Projectile Weapons)

Range: Close (0m-5m), Mid (5m-10m)
Type: Attack, neutral
Kuchiyose • Tobidougu is a Ninjutsu summoning technique utilized by the Leaf ninja TenTen. TenTen specializes in throwing projectile weapons. To enable her to carry more weapons, she will store them in a summoning scroll. When needed she can unwrap the scroll and summon whatever weapon she needs.

Kyomeisen (Vibrating Sound Drill)
Type: C-rank, Offensive, Short range (0-5m), Wind
An attack that involves the use of the Melody Arm, a device used to amplify and control the sound waves emitted from it to attack his opponent's sense of hearing. By damaging the victim's inner ear, the victim is rendered off-balance and nauseous.

Mizu Bunshin no Jutsu (Water Doppelganger)
Type: C-rank, Supplementary, Water
Creates one or more identical copies of the user out of water. More similar to Kage Bunshin than to a normal Bunshin, these clones are capable of attacking, except each clone's strength is only one-tenth that of the user. Also, the clones can only be controlled within a certain radius of the user.

Mizurappa (Violent Water Wave)

Type: Attack, water
Suiton • Mizurappa is a Ninjutsu technique utilizing the Water Element. After forming the needed handseals, the user will expel a strong jet of water at his opponent.

Raikou Bunshin no jutsu (Lightning Doppleganger)
type: C-rank supplementary, Lightning
Creates one or more identical copies of the user out of electricity. More similar to Kage Bunshin than to a normal Bunshin, these clones are capable of attacking, except each clone's strength is only one-tenth that of the user. Also, the clones can only be controlled within a certain radius of the user. When they are destroyed they release a flurry of sparks.

Seneijashu (Hidden Shadow Snake Hand)
Type: C-rank, Offensive, Short range (0-5m), Dark
This technique allows the user to change their arms into extendable snakes. It is also able to fire snakes from the sleeves of the user.

Shikomishindan (Prepared Needle Shot)
Type: C-rank, Offensive, Short to mid-range (0-10m), Neutral
This is a quick surprise attack. The person executing has a concealed device on their arm that when the string located on the back of it is pulled, five barrels on the front fire needles. Because it only seems to hold one shot at a time, it is only used as a one time surprise attack.

Soshuha (Manipulating Attack Blades)
Type: C-rank, Offensive, Short to mid-range (0-10m), Neutral
Similar to the puppet technique. Blades are manipulated through the user's chakra.

Soushouryuu (Twin Rising Dragons)
Rank: C
Range: Close (0m - 5m), Mid (5m - 10m)
Type: Attack, neutral
Soushouryuu is a Ninjutsu technique developed by the Leaf ninja Tenten. Tenten uses this summoning technique to take advantage of her deadly accurate ability to throw edged weapons. Tenten generally only uses this technique as her trump card. To begin, she will will remove her two scrolls and set them on the ground, after forming the necessary hand seals, the two scroll rise into the air and begin to swirl around a middle vortex. Tenten then uses this space to launch herself into the air between the spinning scrolls. From these scrolls she can then summon her weapons which she then begins to throw at her opponent. If the first barrage fails, she can use wires that run from each weapon to her fingertips to pull them back into the air to strike at her opponent again. Unfortunately this attack is very vulnerable to wind based attacks.

Soushuuha (Manipulate Advancing Blades)
Rank: C
Range: Close (0m-5m), Mid (5m-10m)
Type: Attack, neutral
Soushuuha is a Ninjutsu technique used by Sand ninja Yashamaru. This technique allows Yashamaru to hover multiple kunai in the air while he approaches a target. The technique allows a ninja to unleash a torrent of kunai much more quickly than if each was thrown individually.

Suiro no Jutsu (Water Prison Technique)
Type: C-rank, Supplementary, Short range (0-5m), Water
A move used to trap the victim inside a virtually inescapable prison of water. The only downside to this technique is that the user must keep one arm inside the bubble at all times in order for the victim to remain imprisoned. This Jutsu cannot be performed without a sufficiently large body of water to supply the water for it.

Zankukyokuha (Extreme Decapitating Air Waves)
Type: C-rank, Offensive, Short to mid-range, Wind
A Jutsu which allows the user to freely control sound waves and air pressure with a device implanted into one or both of their arms. The blasts are powerful enough to destroy rock. This version uses a lot more chakra than the regular Decapitating Air Wave and is more powerful.

Taijutsu

Gouwan - Strong Arm
Rank: C
Range: Close (0m-5m)
Type: Attack
Gouwan is a taijutsu technique used by Haruno Sakura. Using the skills passed down by her teacher Tsunade, Sakura is able to utilize powerful strikes. Sakura will first build up a high amount of chakra to her fist and then release it in an instant.

Kage Buyo (Shadow of the Dancing Leaf)
Type: C-rank, Supplementary, Short range (0-5m), Neutral
While the target is airborne, the user jumps in such a way as to appear below the target while following a similar trajectory through the air. Since the victim is airborne, he is in a vulnerable position to a more damaging attack such as Omote Renge or Shishi Rendan.

Konoha Daisenpu (Leaf Great Whirlwind)
Type: C-rank, Offensive, Short range (0-5m), Neutral
A spinning kick in the air, which propels the user forward.

Rakanken (Achiever of Nirvana Fist)
Type: C-rank, Offensive, Short range (0-5m), Neutral
Description: This technique allows the user to perform many other techniques. In reality it is actually a fighting style.These include HouShou (Demolishing Palm), a palm strike to the chest which is capable of knocking an opponent back approximately 30-40 feet. TokKen (Shoulder Thrust), a charging strike with his shoulder. ShouShitsu (Rising Knee) a hard uppercutting knee strike. ShouGekiShou (Rising Palm Attack), a hard thrusting palm attack that can send his opponent flying. AtsuShou (Pressure Palm), a powerful driving palm thrust. And finally GanGeki (Boulder Attack), another powerful fist strike

Suiken (Drunken Fist)
Type: C-rank, Offensive, Defensive, Short range (0-5m), Neutral
The Drunken Fist (Suiken) is an unusual style of taijutsu combat where the user takes in enough alcohol to become intoxicated (hence the name), causing them to become unpredictable and highly dangerous. Suiken is not a fighting style that one can learn or train in, nor is it a bloodline limit, but more of a natural talent that one is born with.

Genjutsu

Demonic Illusion: False Surroundings Technique
Type: C-rank, Supplementary, All ranges, Light
This jutsu changes the appearance of a nearby object or area.

Kasumi Juusha no Jutsu (Mist Servant Technique)
Rank: C
Rank: Unknown
Range: Close (0m-5m)
Type: Supplementary
Kasumi Juusha no Jutsu is a Genjutsu technique that creates false attackers to delay and confuse the enemy. Though these servants are not real, the actual ninja is able to remain hidden and throw kunai and shuriken matching the movements of the servants. This makes it appear the false servants are capable of attacking. When the enemy attempts to attack the servant, they will merely disrupt the servants illusion body but not destroy it.

Kori Shinchu no Jutsu (Sly mind affect technique)
Type: C-rank, supplementary, mid- to long-range (5+m), Light
Kori Shinchu no Jutsu is a Genjutsu which causes the target to travel around in circles. If the ninja is unable to detect the illusion very quickly, they can become exhausted mentally and physically because they are unable to reach their desired target by traveling along the same path over and over.

Ninjutsu

Chakra no Tate (Chakra Shield)
Rank: B
Range: Close (0m-5m)
Type: Defense, neutral
Chakra no Tate is a Ninjutsu technique used by puppet masters. This shield is created when chakra is emited in the form of a disk from panels which fan out from the puppet arms. This chakra can block many deadly attacks but some attacks, such as Satetsu can gum up the puppet joints and render the arms useless.

Choujuu Giga (Beast Imitation Drawing)
Type: B-rank Ninjutsu, requires pen and ink, Dark
Using a seal scroll and a unique ink (chakra laced), a picture may be painted onto the scroll and brought to life with the necessary hand seals. The creature then obeys the will of its artist. This technique requires the user to have great skill in art, as actual pictures will be used. Stick Figures and pictures not by the user will not be allowed. In other words, you must provide a picture of what is drawn when using the technique.

Denki: Makaze (Electric release: Devil's storm)
type: B-rank ninjutsu, supplementary, Long range (10+m), Electric
This technique causes an artificial thunderstorm to start above the user. Because this is a difficult thing to do, it takes up a LOT of chakra.

Denki: Dageki Hiryuu (Electric Release: Shock Dragon)
Type: B-rank, short to mid-range (0-10m), Electric
Fires a dragon shaped bolt of electricity. Takes a total of 40 seals to perform, better have your enemy distracted, or you better be VERY fast.

Doku Kiri (Poison Mist)
Rank: B
Range: Close (0m-5m), Mid (5m-10m)
Type: Attack, poison
Ninpou: Doku Kiri is a Ninjutsu technique utilized by Shizune. This technique allows Shizune to expel poision gas from her body. This can serve as cover to escape and as an offensive technique against her opponent.

Doton Kekkai: Dorodomu (Earth Release Barrier: Dungeon Chamber of Nothingness)
Type: B-rank, Offensive, Supplementary, Short to mid-range (0-10m), Earth
Traps the victims inside a self-repairing dome of earth. Combining this with another unusual technique, it is possible to drain the chakra of those trapped inside.

Doton: Doryu Dango ("Earth Release: Earth Mausoleum Dumpling")
Type: B-rank, Offensive, Short to mid-range (0-10m), Earth
A mixture of great bodily strength and a control over the shape of a mass of earth, this technique can be used to lift a large chunk of dirt and lauch it an an opponent.

Doton: Doryuheki (Earth Release: Earth Release Wall)
Type: B-rank, Defensive, Short range (0-5m), Earth
The user creates a wall in front of himself by spewing out a stream of mud that solidifies into a strong wall.

Doton: Iwayado Kuzushi (Earth Release: Rock Lodging Destruction)
Type: B-rank, Offensive, All ranges, Earth
Uses chakra to dislodge rocks from a cliff above the opponent.

Fukumi Hari (Hidden Needles)
Rank: B
Range: Close (0m-5m)
Type: Attack, neutral
Fukumi Hari is a Ninjutsu technique utilized by Shizune. Shizune is able to call forth needles into her mouth and then spit them at her opponent with great accuracy.

Hari Jizo (Spiked Jizo)
Type: B-rank, Offensive, Defensive, Short range (0-5m), Neutral
Causes hair to become spiky and harden and wrap around the user, in a manner similar to a hedgehog's or porcupine's quills, defending against some physical attacks. Recommended the learner has long hair, and that they keep it long, or it only is useful as the "helmet technique".

Haisekishou (Burning Ash Accumulation)
Rank: B
Range: Close (0m ~ 5m), Mid (5m ~ 10m)
Type: Attack, fire
Katon • Haisekishou is a Ninjutsu technique utilizing the Fire Element. After forming the needed handseals, Asuma will expel an ash from his mouth. This large cloud begin to envelope his foe and when Asuma clicks his teeth, the cloud will ignite in an explosion.

Jinju Konbi Henge: Sotoro (Man Beast Combination Transformation: Double-Headed Wolf)
Type: B-rank, Supplementary, Dark
The users, a human and a dog, perform Konbi Henge (Combination Transformation) together, which results in their fusing into an extremely large, double-headed wolf. This wolf can then use extremely powerful techniques, though at a high chakra cost.

Jujin Bunshin (Beast Human Clone)
Type: B-rank, Supplementary, Dark
In coordination with an animal, the user creates a perfect likeness of that creature, and vice-versa with the beast assuming the form of the person. This makes it impossible to tell the two apart until the jutsu is broken, usually by damaging one of the participants which then reverts to their original form.

Kage Bunshin no Jutsu (Shadow Clone Jutsu)
Type: B-rank, Supplementary, Kinjutsu, Dark
Unlike the normal Bunshin no Jutsu (Art of the Doppelganger), this jutsu creates not just an illusion, but real bodies of the ninja. The user's chakra is evenly distributed among the user and every clone. As this could be very dangerous if the user is low on chakra or makes many clones, making this technique forbidden, something Naruto didn't have to worry about, since his chakra supply was very high thanks to the Kyuubi. Kage Bunshin can't be detected by Byakugan. This is because the clones are real bodies with real chakra systems, identical to the user. It can be detected by Sharingan, however. Because the clones are real they can do real damage and can take some damage themselves, being even able to bleed, although they'll still disappear when enough damage has been done, which is usually after one hit.
Note: In order to learn this jutsu, your character must be taught, or gain possession of a scroll with instructions to learning the technique. As a forbidden technique, however, it is illegal to know it without Kage permission (which is not to be granted lightly to anyone who asks).

Katon: Karyu Endan (Fire Release: Fire Dragon Flame Bullet)
Type: B-rank, Offensive, Short to mid-range (0-10m), Fire
Shoots an enormous ball of flame shaped like a dragon from the user's mouth.

Kekkai Hojin (Barrier Encampment Method)
Type: B-rank, Offensive, Dark
A technique requires four users working together to create a four sided barrier, preventing anyone from leaving or entering.

Konbi Henge (Combination Transformation)

A form of Henge no Jutsu (Transformation Technique), where the users transform both themself and another person.

Kokuun no Jutsu (Black Clouds Technique)

Suiton • Kokuun no Jutsu is a Ninjutsu technique used by the Rain ninja Kagari which utilizes the Water Element. After forming the necessary hand seals, a black mist will emit from his body and rise into the sky. Black clouds will form, releasing a flammable rain of oil onto his targets.

Mizuame Nabara (Starch Syrup Capture Field)

Range: Close (0m ~ 5m), Mid (5m ~ 10m)
Type: Defense, Supplementary
Suiton • Mizuame Nabara is a Ninjutsu technique utilizing the Water Element. After forming the needed handseals, Izumo will expel a sticky liquid from his gullet. This liquid can cover approximately 20 square meters. If the target runs on top of the liquid, their feet will become glued to its sticky surface. If the ninja focuses chakra to their feet before touching the surface, they can hover above and move over it without hindrance. This allows Izumo or a comrade to charge and attack without fear of becoming bogged down as well.

Suigadan (Water Fang Projectile)

Suiton • Suigadan is a Ninjutsu technique utilizing the Water Element. The ninja does a string of hand seals to cause a nearby body of water to form a spinning drill.



Taijutsu

Hien (Flying Swallow)
Type: B-rank, Offensive, Short range (0-5m), Wind
Extends the edge of a blade with an invisible blade of chakra. If the opponent sees the weapon beforehand, it ma result in a misjudgment of the weapon's reach.

Omote Renge (Front Lotus)
Type: B-rank, Offensive, Short range (0-5m), Neutral
This technique puts a lot of strain on the user's muscle fibers, and is basically a suicidal attack. Normally, humans use the power of their muscles at only about 20 percent of its full power; the brain regulates muscle usage to ensure this, since any higher and the muscles will be damaged or destroyed. The Omote Renge requires the opening of one of the inner celestial gates- the Initial Gate, which releases the brain's regulation on muscle usage. The result is a much more powerful brand of Taijutsu than normal, but at the cost of damage to the user.
Note: requires user to be able to open chakra gates (obviously)

Genjutsu

Demonic Illusion: Tree Bind Death
Type: B-rank, Supplementary, Short range (0-5m), Light
With this jutsu, the user can make themselves disappear, allowing them to approach their target unnoticed. Once completed, a tree and roots will grow at the target's feet and restrict their movements. Once the opponent believes that they are captured, the user can then appear above their opponent from the tree's trunk and kill the target. In the Kurama clan filler arc of the anime, this jutsu seems to be quite versatile, with a wide range of variations on the standard nature theme. In addition to the disappearing and tree-growing effects of the jutsu, the user can produce flowers, seedpods, vines and multiple trees.

Ninjutsu

Bunshin Daibakuha (Clone Great Explosion)
Type: A-rank, Offensive, Short range (0-5m), Dark
This jutsu works in combination with the Kage Bunshin no Jutsu (Shadow Replication Technique), and basically creates a Shadow Replication that will also explode on command, potentially killing or injuring those caught in the blast.

Chidori (One Thousand Birds)
Type: A-rank, Offensive, Short range (0-5m), Lightning
A very powerful technique that requires a huge amount of chakra, which becomes visible around the user's hand. Once the hand has been charged, it is then thrust straight through the target. Due to the direct and obvious path the user of the technique must take to achieve an effective strike, a user of Chidori is left highly vulnerable to counterattacks and dodges. The technique can only be safely attempted by a ninja with the Sharingan or a similar countermeasure to defenses and attacks. Chidori is said to be one of the few original techniques of Hatake Kakashi.
Although it produces a distinctive sound and is by no means stealthy, Chidori has nonetheless been classified as a possible assassination technique due to the incredible speed it requires and the devastating effect of a successful execution.
The name Chidori comes from the sound the technique makes, which is said to remind the listener of the chirping produced by a thousand birds. Because of the high amount of chakra it requires, a ninja can only use Chidori 3 times per day, less if they have used other jutsu (excluding Taijutsu).
Note: You must be taught this technique by someone who knows it. You may not have this technique when you start off unless you are Kage or Akatsuki.

Chikatsu Saisei no Jutsu (Healing Resuscitation Regeneration Technique), Neutral
Type: A-rank, Supplementary, Short range (0-5m)
Requires multiple seals and a team of medical ninja. Used in critical situation, and must sustained for a large period of time in some cases. This healing technique is capable of reviving near death situations, but puts a great strain on those performing it.
Note: Must be a medical ninja to learn this technique.

Daibakufu no Jutsu (Grand Waterfall Technique)
Rank: A
Range: Mid (5m-10m), Far (10m+)
Type: Attack, water
Suiton • Daibakufu no Jutsu is a Ninjutsu technique utilizing the Water Element. After doing the needed hand seals a column of water will circle the ninja and then a large force of water will erupt to hit the attacker. Due to the force of the water the target will be fully enveloped by the water and at its mercy as is pulls them away.

Denki: Raiden (Thunder and lightning)
Type: A-rank, Supplementary, All ranges, Lightning
If there is a thunderstorm happening, the user can direct where lightning strikes.

Doryuudan (Earth Dragon Projectile)

Range: Close (0m-5m)
Type: Attack, earth
Doton • Doryuudan is a Ninjutsu technique utilizing the Earth Element. The ninja will do the necessary hand seals and create a dragon from the river of mud made after using the Doryuu Taiga technique. This dragon will then spew mud projectiles from its mouth.

Doton: Yomi Numa (Earth Release: Swamp of the Underworld)
Type: A-rank, Offensive, All ranges, Earth
Turns a large area of land into swampland, making it hard for anyone or anything in that area to move around.

Gama Daira Kage Ayatsuri no Jutsu (Toad Flat Shadow Control Technique)

Range: Close (0m-5m)
Type: Supplementary, dark
Gama Daira Kage Ayatsuri is a Ninjutsu technique that allows Jiraiya to merge into the shadow of subdued foe. Jiraiya can then fully control the victim from within their shadow, allowing him to more easily infiltrate foreign territories. If he has to use his other jutsu, he must emerge from the shadow. Once he fully emerges, the hold over his victim is broken and they regain control of their body.

Inyu Shometsu (Secret Healing Wound Destruction)
Type: A-rank, Supplementary, Neutral
Focusing chakra to an an area that has been hit, the cell creation process the moment the area becomes injured. In other words, it quickly heals the damaged area with little or no effort to the user. Convenient, huh?

Kaze no Yaiba (Blade of Wind)
Type: A-rank, Offensive, Short to mid-range, Wind
This Jutsu creates a blade out of wind which, being wind, makes it impossible to block. However, unlike the Kamaitachi no Jutsu, this Jutsu requires no tool.

Meisai Gakure no Jutsu (Camouflage Concealment Technique)

Meisai Gakure no Jutsu is an advanced Ninjutsu technique used by Rock ninja. After forming the needed handseals, the ninja can grant themself near invisibility. So far only the Sharingan eye and its revelation abilities has been shown to pierce the veil and see the hidden ninja. It is unknown if the Byakugan can penetrate the jutsu and see the user's chakra circulatory system.

Ranshinshou (Chaotic Mental Collision)

Range: Close (0m-5m)
Type: Supplementary, electric
Ranshinshou is a Ninjutsu technique used by the Sannin Tsunade. Changing the chakra in her hand into an electricity, Tsunade can create an electric field to disrupt her targets nervous system. Because the brain and body communicate using electrical impulses, Tsunade can use the field to disrupt her targets ability to move. What results is commands to move one body part being relayed to another, making it near impossible for them to move unless they have high skill and understanding of the body.

Ranji Shigumi no Jutsu (Wild Lion's Mane Technique)

Ranji Shigumi no Jutsu is a Ninjutsu technique used by the Sannin Jiraiya. After forming the needed hand seals, Jiraiya will lengthen his hair and send it outwards to subdue his foe. If he manages to trap them within his hair, he can make it harden into spikes to kill them.

Rasengan (Spiraling Sphere)
Type: A-rank, Offensive, Short range (0-5m), Neutral
A Ninjutsu technique incorporating the chakra control needed for both the tree climbing training and water walking training.
The Rasengan is a very high-level technique that took the Yondaime Hokage three years to perfect. Unlike the Chidori, the Rasengan does not "cut", per se. It "grinds" rather, literally creating a hurricane of chakra formed in the shape of a sphere, between the size of a softball and a baseball. It does have a drawback, however, the Rasengan needs great chakra control. It is a self-sustaining technique so once the chakra is molded, the user doesn't need any more chakra. It requires no hand seals and can be used with one hand.
Note: You must be taught this technique by someone who already knows it. You may not have this technique when you start off unless you are Kage or S-ranked Akatsuki.

Shosen Jutsu (Mystical Palm Technique)
Type: A-rank, Supplementary, Short range (0-5m), Neutral
This technique has two abilities. It is a surgical technique that requires great concentration and precision. It can be a scalpel, which can cut the inside of a person's body without scratching the skin. It can also heal wounds. It seems to take more energy to use the technique as a scalpel. Combative use of this technique is incredibly difficult, but if utilized correctly, can be a very dangerous.
Note: You must be taught this technique. You may not start off with this technique unless you are jonin or higher.

Shuriken Kage Bunshin no Jutsu (Shuriken Shadow Clone Technique), Dark
Type: A-rank, Offensive, Short to mid-range (0-10m)
Similar to Kage Bunshin no Jutsu. The user throws one shuriken at the victim and then uses this jutsu to create Kage bunshin of the shuriken to make the attack more powerful.

Sojasosai no Jutsu (Twin Snakes Kill Each Other)
Type: A-rank, Offensive, Short range (0-5m), Kinjutsu, Dark
A forbidden jutsu which is a murder-suicide attack- killing both the user and the target.

Suiton: Daibakufu no Jutsu (Water Release: Great Waterfall Technique)
Type: A-rank, Offensive, Mid- to long range (5+m), Water
A technique used to create a massive blast of water.

Tomegane no Jutsu (Telescope Technique)
Type: A-rank, Supplementary, Long range (10+m), Light
Projects an image of ongoings at a far location onto a reflective surface. This technique is seen being used on a crystal ball. Similar to farsight.

Yomi Numa (Swamp of the Underworld)

Range: Close (0m-5m), Mid (5m-10m), Far (10m+)
Type: Attack, earth
Doton • Yomi Numa is a Ninjutsu technique used by the Sannin Jiraiya utilizing the Earth element. After forming the needed handseals, a vast swamp can appear beneath his target to sink and kill it.

Taijutsu

Asa Kujaku (Morning Peacock)
Type: Unknown, probably: A-rank, Offensive, Short range (0-5m), Neutral
Requires the Sixth Chakra Gate to be open. Using this tremendous burst of power and speed, one will approach his opponent in a distinctive "crane" stance. When near enough, he/she will kick his opponent and launch them into the air. He/she will then strike them multiple times, causing the distinctive peacock fan to develop. His opponent will then fall back to the earth, covered in the strike's aura.

Mikazuki no Mai (Dance of the Crescent Moon)
Type: A-rank, Offensive, Short range (0-5m), Dark
Creates three kage bunshin of the user, which along with the user attacks in a complicated sword-dancing pattern which confuses the opponent.

Ura Renge (Reverse Lotus)
Type: A-rank, Offensive, Short range (0-5m), Neutral
This advanced, more destructive version of the Renge requires the opening of at least the Third Gate (Life Gate), with a correspondingly higher cost to the user. Once the third gate is open, the user can then use Ura Renge by launching the target into the air and hiting them with one arm and foot, sending the target crashing into the ground, typically killing them. When Rock Lee used this move, he also opened the Fourth and Fifth Gates to grant him extra strength and speed, however, this is not required to perform Ura Renge.

Genjutsu

Kakkou's Genjutsu Interrogation Technique (Unnamed)
Rank: Must be ANBU. Rank A
Range: Close (0m-5m)
Type: Supplementary
Hidden Rock ninja Kakkou used this Genjutsu interrogation technique on Leaf kunoichi Rin. Because it was a war-time situation, Kakkou hoped he could extract troop movements and battle plans from the young ninja. To try and break her will, he put her under a Genjutsu sensory spell. Because of Rin's strong will she was able to resist the pressure and not reveal any information.

Kokuangyou no Jutsu (Journey into Black Darkness Technique)
Rank: A
Range: Close (0m-5m), Mid (5m-10m)
Type: Supplementary
Kokuangyou no Jutsu is a Genjutsu technique which causes the ninja's opponent to be enveloped in total darkness. While in the black void, the ninja will be unable to see any incoming attack or threat.

Temple of Nirvana Technique
Type: A-rank, Supplementary, All ranges, Light
This jutsu causes everyone within a specific area to fall into a deep sleep. From the target's point of view, it seems as if feathers are falling from the sky, which serves as a distraction to allow the jutsu to take effect. The downside, however, is that it takes a fair amount of time to take effect, and any experienced ninja has more than enough time to dispel it.

S-Rank (Extreme level, or Kage level)


Because many of the S-Ranked Jutsu are trademark techniques of specific characters from the series, not all will be available to RP with. Most require specific traits to perform them, such as being a jinchuuriki. If you want a super-powerful character specific technique, and your character is high enough in ranking, consult the custom jutsu board. You'll be much happier.

Hiraishin no Jutsu (Flying Thunder God Technique)
Type: S-rank, Supplementary, All ranges, Neutral
This jutsu allows the user to move over large distances with ultra-high speed. Although it is often compared with the Shunshin no Jutsu, the speed of the Hiraishin is much faster then that of the Shunshin and the principle behind Hiraishin is similar to Kuchiyose no Jutsu.
To activate this jutsu, the user needs a special seal or "Jutsu-shiki" ("Technique" or "Jutsu formula") to mark the destination. After this is done, the user can almost instantaneously transport himself to the location of the Jutsu-shiki.

Kuchiyose: Edo Tensei (Summoning: Impure World Resurrection)
Type: Kinjutsu, S-rank, Supplementary, Dark
This technique allows the user to revive a dead person. The user must first sacrifice a living human in order to tie the dead person's soul to the world (unlike the normal summoning technique, which only uses some of the user's blood). Then, the dead person's body is formed out of dust and dirt and rises out of the ground in front of the user inside a wooden coffin. This technique can also be used on multiple people at once. Highly illegal to know, and even more so to actually use.

Most of the jutsu that are unknown have either only be used by one person at one point in time, are very, very, very rare, or are beyond forbidden. Each one will have "Probably (insert reasonable rank here)". That is the Rank they shall be treated as.

Ninjutsu


Chakura Kyuin Jutsu (Chakra Absorption Technique)
Type: Unknown probably D, Supplementary, Short range (0-5m), Neutral
The user drains the opponent's Chakra by touching the opponent with their hands.

Dokumeki no Jutsu (Poison Extraction Technique)
Type: Unknown, Medical ninja technique Supplementary, Short range (0-5m), Neutral
Using sterilized water, the medical nin passes the water through the victim's body and pulls it out with the poison inside. Is very painful for the person being treated, and requires someone to hold the person down.
Must be a medical Nin.

Gofu Kekkai (Five Seal Barrier)
Type: Unknown, probably A, Dark
This powerful barrier prevents anyone from entering a designated area. No questions asked. It is unlocked by a particular object, seal, or password. In order to totally deactivate it, five seals must be removed at the exact same time. The seals can be quite far from each other.

Hyoton: Haryu Moko (Ice Release: Piercing Dragon Fierce Tiger)
Type: Unknown, probably B Offensive, Mid-range (5-10m) or higher, Ice
The user creates a large Tiger out of nearby ice. Due to being so cold, it can freeze nearby water around it while attacking its target. It's basically just an Ice version of the jutsu Suiton: Suiryudan no Jutsu, but due to being a combined water/wind element jutsu, is more powerful.

Hyoton: Kokuryubo Fusetsu (Ice Release: Black Dragon Outburst Snowstorm)
Type: Unknown, probably A Offensive, Mid- to long range (5+m), Ice
The user creates a black dragon stream with red eyes that is sent towards the opponent. There's an improved version, the Souryubo Fusetsu, in which he shoots two black dragons that attack the enemy by creating a large black tornado.

Hyoton: Ikkaku Hakugei (Ice Release: One-Horned White Whale)
Type: Unknown, probably B Offensive, All ranges, Ice
The user creates a large One-Horned Whale that is shot at the opponent. Needs to be done with a LARGE body of water.

Hyoton: Roga Nadare no Jutsu (Ice Release: Wolf Fang Avalanche)
Type: Unknown, probably C Offensive, Mid- to long range (5+m), Ice
The user creates an avalanche of snow wolves that run towards the opponent.

Hyoton: Tsubame Fubuki (Ice Release: Swallow Snow Storm)
Type: Unknown, probably: C Offensive, Short to mid-range (0-10m), Ice
The user launches a bunch of ice needles that are in the shape of mini-swallows. These needles can change direction in the air.

Genjutsu

Death Foreseeing Technique
Type: Unknown, probably A rank, Light
This jutsu is much like the Temporary Paralysis Technique, but paralyzes the foe by showing them a vision of their own gruesome death. In addition to the paralysis, the enemy is overwhelmed with fear, and can suffer severe mental stress.

Sealing Techniques


With the exception of Illusionary Dragon Nine Consuming Seals, all these techniques must be taught by an NPC in the Realm of the Dead. None of these techniques can be used on oneself.

Five Elements Seal
Type: A-rank, Supplementary, Short range (0-5m), Dark
This jutsu is used to strengthen the seal on Jinchuuriki. When placed on a Demon's seal, it will force the stage, whatever it may be at, into dormant. Even though the Jinchuuriki knows of it's demon's existence, no chakra can leak out, and they cannot converse. The seal can only be broken by Five Elements Unseal.

Five Elements Unseal
Type: A-rank, Supplementary, Short range (0-5m), Dark
This jutsu undoes the Five Elements Seal, restoring the Jinchuuriki's to his/her original Stage.

Sealing Technique: Illusionary Dragon Nine Consuming Seals
Type: Unknown. Technique can only be used by Akatsuki, Dark
This jutsu is used by the Akatsuki leader and his subordinates in tandem to forcibly drain the spirit and chakra of the tailed beasts from their hosts, then seal it in a large statue. The jutsu takes three days to complete. To prepare for the jutsu, the Akatsuki leader summons the sealing statue and each member stands on one of its fingers. Each of the Akatsuki members present then concentrate. Nine dragon-like effigies then pour from the statue's mouth, surround the captured host, and remove the tailed beast from them (the process seems quite agonizing to the host). In the case of an unsealed tailed beast, the same thing happens to the beast itself.

Sealing Technique: Returned From Corruption
Type: Rank-A, Supplementary, Short range (0-5m), Dark
This sealing jutsu reapirs seals that have reached the corruption stage. It then makes the Jinchuuriki go to Stage Two: Realization.

The 8 chakra Gates



The First Gate: The Gate of Opening (Kaimon)
Kaimon releases the brain's limit on the total strain on the muscles, giving the user five times their normal strength and speed.
The user cannot use jutsu for three posts after this gate is closed again.


The Second Gate: The Gate of Rest (Kyūmon)
Kyūmon releases the brain's limit on the body's stamina, making a battle-worn person become miraculously ready to fight as if the fight had just started. It does not, however, heal wounds.
The user cannot use jutsu for 5 posts after this gate is closed again.


The Third Gate: The Gate of Life (Seimon)
Seimon is located on the spinal cord, and releases the limit on the nervous system, which makes information travel at a faster rate and creates even more stamina, allowing them to react much faster (twice that of the First Gate). As a side effect, the user's skin turns red, indicating an increased blood-oxygen level.
The user cannot use jutsu for 7 posts after the gate is closed.


The Fourth Gate: The Gate of Pain (Shōmon)
Shōmon releases the limit on oxygen intake in the lungs, creating much more oxygen for the body to use, increasing strength and speed by two times that of the Third Gate.
The user passes out after this gate is closed, and cannot fight for two real-time days or five posts afterward, whichever takes longer.


The Fifth Gate: The Gate of Closing (Tomon)
Tomon releases the limit on the amount of chakra released at one time. It also allows the user's movements to exceed the speed of sound.
The user passes out after this gate is closed, and cannot fight for 3 real time days afterward or ten posts, whichever takes longer.


The Sixth Gate: The Gate of Joy (Keimon)
Keimon removes the limit on how much fat and proteins the intestines can digest, and releases otherwise useless energy resources, giving the user even more power and stamina, twice that of what they would have at the Fifth Gate.
The user passes out after use, and cannot fight for 4 real-time days or ten posts afterward, whichever takes longer.


The Seventh Gate: The Gate of Shock (Kyōmon)
Kyōmon removes the limit on how fast the body can move, removes wastes from dead skin cells to feces, and gives the body a much cleaner system to work with, producing still more power and stamina, one and a half times that of the Sixth Gate.
The user passes out after use, cannot fight for 5 real time days afterwards, or ten posts, whichever takes longer.


The Eighth Gate: The Gate of Death (Shimon)
Shimon opens the final gate located at the heart and uses up all of the body's energy. It makes the heart pump at maximum power and exceeds the power of every other gate. All the energy in every individual cell is used up, giving the user power well above that of any Kage. This "big bang" effect is only temporary, and destroys every muscle in the user's body, including the heart. While active, all strikes will hit, and the user's strength will be at one hundred times their normal level.
The user dies after use of the Eighth Gate. There is no avoiding this.
